Journey of Glittering Stars - Baten Kaitos - Harp/Cello Quartet Cover (Free Sheet Music)

- Here's my rendition of "To the End of the Journey of Glittering Stars" from the game "Baiten Kaitos". Although the game itself didn't really hold my attention, the music really did (I would LOVE to perform "King of the Nine Heavens" some day ... but that song almost demands a full orchestration.)
Anyhow--this is one of the three video game songs that made me want to learn the harp to begin with (because I wanted something more than just a classical guitar)! (Another was "Wondering" from Haibane Renmei, which I've already recorded.)

Beautiful cover of one of the most underrated games and game soundtracks ever. Nobody talks about how mind blowing Baten Kaitos' music is anymore.

The baten kaitos OST is so diverse that you can find delicate tunes like this then a very heavy hard rock sounds, and overall the tune is so good you can hear it entirely for ours

+ChromaticApparatus Your welcome! I agree. There's a section in the menu where it has a playlist of the soundtrack on the system. While reading I had the habit of letting it play in the background on the game cube. Now there's TH-cam of course.

Hey, it is a really beautifull music for the best gamecube's game. I'm a harpist too and I can't find sheet anywhere so really thank you for post it in your description.
Did you have the Wind Valley from Baten Kaitos too by any luck ?? (Can't find it at all).

+1Miako You're welcome! Unfortunately, I didn't do an arrangement of Wind Valley (Between the Winds). It has a very pretty harp part, but it was too hard for me to play on a lever harp (too many accidentals). :( There's a rough arrangement I found here: www.riulynrpg.info/files/pdf/bk/betweenwind.pdf that you might be able to work with!

Very nice! Such a pretty piece, I'd like to look up that soundtrack :) the only gripe I have, though, is that when all five parts are playing together, the harp gets overtaken a little by the cello parts and that also makes it a little hard to discern where the main melody is coming from. It's a nitpick really, but great job!
FlowerEmblem I agree with you re: the harp. I really need to take a class or something on mixing. It actually sounds fine on my speakers, but when I listen on my laptop it gets drown out. There's got to be some ancient Chinese secret that I'm missing to get the balance right.

ChromaticApparatus A class teaching about an ancient Chinese secret of mixing would be awesome actually xD Personally am not really a techhie so minus basic stuff it really does seem confusing/intimidating and I guess with more instruments its more so :s Maybe just double checking with different sound outlets might help?
