Alistair was my favorite male character in DA:O, such a memorable character. In a lot of rpgs it's hard to find that humorous character that is still serious when need be and doesn't come across as a juvenile/caricatured character, but Alistair rode that line perfectly thanks to the excellent writing and voice work.
I just discovered Origins (been meaning to get to it for a while) and I have to say, Alistair feels incredibly ... real. Like, he just seems like a real person and not just a character and is probably my favorite DA character now.
Can't believe he doesn't know his own quotes! I know he must work/read quite a bit, but still, Alistair is legendary. Nothing is as iconic as "have you licked a lamppost in winter?".

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this man at the airport once, and he is such a sweetheart. He took a picture with me, and we even chatted for a minute, it was great and I will never forget it.
I love how Morrigan once said she didn't understand how anyone could listen to Alistair talk, or something to that effect, when I'm just sitting there enjoying listening to his voice.
That moment when my breath catched and I couldn't breathe for half a minute just hearing at that sweet and smooth voice. That's the power of Steve/Alistair voice to me! Sweet Andraste!
Haha Now that was hilarious. From the script to Steve's voice acting, all of it brings Alistair to life. I'm thankful to Bioware and the Dragon Age team for giving us such a loveable character. :)
I absolutely adore him his personality, voice and performance really made Alistair so real and who is he, he made him the most adorable sweet funny goofy lovable sweetheart ever!!
Is it bad that after I heard him say swooping is bad that i ran jumped on couch, fell off couch, ran outside and jumped up and down for 30secs straight?
I remember when Alistair first said 'Swooping is bad' I just kinda stopped and sat there like 'fucking wot' and then started laughing like a giddy school girl

Their animosity to each other cracks me up.
