A pet bottle and a little fantasy and the tent is approaching half a kilo😃
Replace the footprint with guy line and pole holder made of PET bottle.
I show how to do it with the Big Agnes Tiger Wall, but it can also be done in a similar way with the other American tents. Of course also with Nordic, if you just want to use rain fly. Such as Hilleberg, Hellsport etc. Can be really nice on the mountain hike or other forest adventures. Or on the easier hiking trail.
The tent then approaches half a kilo and you get three tents in one.
1. Only rain fly in cold but mosquito-free weather.
2. Only mesh inner tents when the mosquitoes are swarming but the weather is nice.
3. Both inner and rain fly when you want to be protected against both rain and mosquitoes.
My system that I am showing weighs only 19g vs the footprint which weighs 170g.
You also don't have to buy a footprint.
What you miss is the stronger floor that the footprint provides.

Undrar om man verkligen behöver plastbåtarna. Har funderat över att skapa någon likadan lösning med lina och strupöglor på hörnen, men kanske det faktiskt är mindre pill med plastbitarna. Najs!

Jag hade så förut, men kände mest att det var enklare att resa tältet med det här systemet. Sedan hindrar ju "plastbåtarna" att stängerna sjunker ner i marken. Inget stort problem, men tyckte det var lite jobbigt när marken var väldigt mjuk.
