wow thanks for this video! downloading the app on iOS so that the printer can connect to the wifi network was the key1!!!!! my app interface was different, but when i click on the app "cant find printer", the app connected to the canon ij wifi and then I was able to add my house's wifi info to the printer. all because the printer doesn't have a screen. then, the app was able to detect the printer and i can print from the phone! now i just need it to work with my computer too. thank you!
I’m glad you found it helpful! Yes, the Wi-Fi is one of the biggest issues with these printers. I was struggling for a while trying to get it to work. I’m glad you got it up and running!
I did the same, then went into the "add Printer" function on the Mac and it showed up. Added it in and now it's good to go. For some reason, the house wifi would not recognize the printer, but the app on the iPhone did. Just odd, but at least it works now.
great video, thanks for clarifying stuff I'm probably gonna struggle with when it finally arrives (excited!!). Question: have you tried printing on card stock or heavier textured paper? Hoping it can handle heavier weight matte & textured papers for things like art cards, greeting cards, etc. loved your vid & subscribed! wish you lots of success in your art sales & youtube channel.
Hi, I’m glad you found it helpful! I haven’t tried card stock (only gloss and matte photo paper). I found the matte to be difficult to print on because it bled and didn’t show up well. Thank you for the well wishes!
Anyone else with this printer have an issue with the rubber feet sticking like glue to the table it's on? After only having it a few days, when I went to lift up the printer, the table came with it. Thanks
After connecting my printer through the same method as you, I am getting an orange light and no online troubleshooter seems to grasp the steps taken. I doubt anyone has the solution here?
That was the biggest issue I had with this printer! The WI-FI feature tends to be difficult to connect at first , but once the app recognizes there was a printer nearby it has been smooth sailing. I would recommend visiting the canon website and looking up your specific printer and try following those steps! Hope this helps!
No, I don’t clean it after every print. I would suggest doing the deep cleaning when you notice the colors aren’t coming out as they should even when you know the ink levels are high. It adjusts the nozzles and clears any blockages. Hope this helps!

Just got mine. Looks good but the bottom of the printer (under side) has all kinds of white streaks. Anyone else's like that?
