I remember seeing the trailer before it came out and I was instantly in love with it- 2D animated films (and TV shows) like Wolfwalkers is why I've always wanted to be an animator, it's so beautiful and I honestly cry every time I watch the movie LMAO
I watched the movie after watching this and i cried too, but it was the relationship between Robyn and her father. I wanted to deny her father's reasonings but the establishment of the world was so good and meshed so well with the modern world no way one could deny the dangers. Loved the movie.
you should also watch song of the sea, the secret of kells, and the breadwinner. they’re all by the same studio and have rly beautiful animation and stories. sort of like an irish studio ghibli. also, SO REAL, we need more 2D animation. the 3D animation these days is so diggity darn ugly and void of any charm or personality.
I also recommend watching Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea (I haven't yet seen The Breadwinner) as they are so well done. And you can see the improvement from one to the other, with Wolfwalkers being the very best. They are all so very good.
