@zjmn12 but what im saying is he puts it in second gear and thinks he is in second gear, but he is not, it still starts in first gear. if he puts it in second gear it means he wont go past second gear, it will hold him in second, but he still starts off in first
You can disconnect the awd system. It's not 4x4, it's awd. Meaning it's technically always Rwd until they slip, computer kicks in and sends power to the front. Balancing the power, creating traction. Ugly rims. But don't listen to the idiot comments. Lol.

I'd love to see them with a lip and wider make it look really mean in a blk lol.ill b having my srt8 soon and I've been racking my brains on wheels.color and super charger is taken care of.wheels are hard tho.specially when you can't see the ones u like on the truck.
@dynosteve That's what glareofspace was saying how is he taking off in 2nd gear if its not a manual transmission. The guy in the video clearly stated taking off in 2nd gear because 1st gear wont hold. -_-

In my 550i BMW, in Steptronic mode (s+/-), I can manually switch from the default starting gear, which is 3rd, to 2nd, or 1st, while sitting stationary...and you can feel, and see in the instrument cluster, that the car has changed gears while stationary. In manual/sport mode, I can literally take off in any gear from 1st to 4th...not 1st limited to the gear I have selected manually. BTW, thats if the SRT8 has an automanual.
I think i no longer want a Cayenne Turbo as my 1st SUV car anymore. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has my money now, the only thing is i need to know the best,most feature packed year between 2006-2009 that had the 6.1 monster HEMI ?
Your best bet is a 2009 if you want all the toys available. I have a 2009 Overland edition and it has the 5.7 Hemi and QDII. If you can find one like mine, the interior is a dark saddle leather and everyone says it makes the Jeep look really high end. Nicer than most luxury cars at much less. The sound system is amazing and 20gb HD is awesome to have plus a Nav/DVD in dash with touch screen and wireless headphones for rear screen. If you never owned a V8 Grand Cherokee of any year, then you have no idea what you are missing. On dry pavement they will amaze you at the instant acceleration at a light (you'll find that you are able to smoke tons of cars and SUVs and look to do it often) and ability to power ahead from 60-120 to pull on a highway or pass is on par with any sports car. If you live in a winter climate then it will change your life and is hard to explain until you power though some "white shit" and actually find yourself looking for challenges to conquer. All those other wannabe SUV types aren't even close in the real off road conditions. The only downside is the fuel economy sucks and it's brutal if you have a lead foot like me. The SRT8 version is even worse on gas and it has a really small gas tank. It can pass anything on the road but a gas station. It goes like hell but the engine is a thirsty one, so get ready to personally know every guy at every service station around you. They do say that the original model in 2006 was made with some upgraded parts to make sure they didn't fail the first year out, but good luck finding one that isn't thrashed or has tons of mileage. The Cayenne is really fast but you pay so much to get that plus the cost of repairs. Let's be honest, the Cayenne is ugly as hell unless you think a jacked up 911 looks good? Get the SRT8 and throw in half of the difference in the price in upgrades and you will need a second job to pay for tires every week and you'll have the added advantage of not looking like a douchebag or being mistaken for a rich soccer mom.
He's not spinning the tires on purpose. He's trying to figure out how to get off the line quickly. Throw some meaty slicks on there and that should do the trick. Don't hate cause you ain't!

It's a pretty good demo of how much power it has just from putting down your foot from a standstill. Question. If the tranny has manual valve body would it take off in 2nd if that's what's selected?anyway the guy behind the camera sounds like an Aussie and I'm from Western Australia
funny, when I put my trans in 2nd gear, it still starts in first gear.....just doesnt go past 2nd gear......there is no way to start in second gear........

@m018264808888 ya it does have the auto/manual, and it will show a digital number on the dash, but if you see the number 2 on the dash, you still start in first, but dont go higher than 2nd. no matter what number you see on the dash you will always start off in first, just not go higher than the gear showing on the dash. this guy claims to start off in 2nd gear for his burnout, but its not possible......

yup if you look at the road we did about 12 of them
the front shaft was fitted and working but its only a percentage of the rear
