This radio is popular in the Arab world (in the remote ares) because of the look, performance, and long battery life. The models sold here (RF-562DD has a 3V DC power supply input located under the earphones input).
Richard Merriam Hey glad you did bought one for yourself. Definitely one of the best analog radios. I like it so much I bring it with me to office everyday coz I can’t part with it.😆 Nice rig you have there! Happy listening. Cheers!
@@mcdus78 To lighten the weight of the radio, I've used AA batteries with the D size adapter sleeves. Alkalines work for about a week (8 hours per day?) Rechargeables will save a lot of money.
Richard Merriam I see. Good then. However, I like having heft to it. It feels more substantial.😁 Just enjoying it so much I love it!👍🏼 Enjoy yours too! Cheers!
I have this radio, but since tuning shortwave is too "touchy," I got the Sony ICF-J40. The Sony is much easier to tune on shortwave, and also has a fine tune control.

Great radio. True analog, which is rare these days. Worth the money.
Richard Merriam I agree because I bought one and it’s awesome! Do yourself a favor and buy one too!
@@mcdus78 I bought one last month. One of my favorite radios! I got a GE Superadio III in 1993, and it's the best DXing rig I've ever used.
