    I think it looks great, I love that you are doing something different than every other hombre tutorial. It does seem like a technique that will take more time, but I definitely think it has that extra touch that makes it stand out from the rest. Thanks!!

    I've only worked with colour before but this technic seemed long. I use water and a large sponge or rag to move two colours together the two colours - one dark and one light- blend together with the water to make the third colour. Working with wet paint and water to blend seems to work the best for me and saves time

    Ooohhh. Yes! This is what I’ve been looking for. All the other ombrés are too blocky. Thank you so much for sharing. I can’t wait to paint my bedroom now!

    Man oh man there are a LOT of negative comments and back seat painters. This woman showed her techniques for others to use- which was great.

    hi, I see that you are working with the paint when it is still wet, but was the original gray and white on the wall dry before you started adding the medium paint?

    • @PrettyHandyGirl
      @PrettyHandyGirl  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I blocked in the dark and white to start. They were dry.

      +jorge ortiz One brush and sponge, but I wiped them off on a rag if they got too much paint on them.

    well thanks for the video , but I have a task by dear friend to do the entire master bedroom an Ombre effect super fine blend rather ,
    been an Artist my self , I did experiments on using paint retarder plus latex paint extender to give me more time to blend the entire 28 feet long by 10 feet high walls of long sides and 20 feet long by 10 feet high on wide side walls on a 4 feet by 8 feet drywall sheet , that is major task and have never seen any complete video or tutorials on such scale .
    to my experience in paint and pigment molecules you always need paint retarder agent and paint glaze when dealing with pure acrylic , however ? latex paint that has acrylic pigment ? need paint extender , the latex has drying agent in it so you need to mix paint retarder for the acrylic pigment to stay fresh and paint extender for the latex to not dry in its timeline . try it , I am sure you will have fun manipulating more surface . stay away from water as thinner , I use water only to make washed sand stone effects .
    here is a free tip : try to use blending badger hair brush when merging two different colors or shades :) , good work though and thanks for the video again .

    • @BrittanyBailey

      +Shanna McCurley I used Eggshell, but you should be able to use any sheen.

    The color you picked was way dark, I hope you did it in a well-lit room. Still, all-in-all a nice tutorial and a nicely blended paint job. I think I'll try mine on a piece of plywood before I go whole hog on the wall.

    It's more like smoke, not ombré at all, the mixing of colors isn't smooth at all.

    • @deadlylaughterproductions
      @deadlylaughterproductions 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't have to be smooth to be ombre really. It only really has to go from light medium to dark. So technically it still is ombre.

    • @1GAMEDOG1
      @1GAMEDOG1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brittany Bailey, that's not a mature way to react to criticism. Comments don't have to be positive, they're just people's opinions.

    • @kristoferslimko4042
      @kristoferslimko4042 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Tristan King Yes, Lemou Kalista has a right to his opinion, but he does not have a legitimate reason to call the video a mess from start to finnish. What Lemou Kalista said was rude not constructive like his comment should have been.
