Thanks for this information. Very helpful. I have seen the rare ore anomaly also in low sec systems so expect the same mechanic will apply. But from the point of view that you want to acquire null/lowsec ore with minimum risk there are some other possibilities as well.
Some unrated combat sites or escalations in highsec do contain lowsec ore. These are more rng - sometimes only allow frigates - but very lucrative and undisputed and need a bit of a setup. A good example is Rogue Drone Asteroid Infestation which contains omber asteroids. You have to clear the site - bookmark it - and it will disappear as an anomaly for other players. But because of wreckage, untouched loot or jettisoned junk you can keep the site open (3,5 hrs for me) and mine what you can. Rats do appear as in normal belts. You can safely leave and re-enter the bookmarked site but the site will completely disappear if you leave the system. So have a venture/mining frigate standing ready in a nearby station, and mine what you can. I jettisoned the mined ore and picked it up later with a mine hauler to safe time.
There are more sites but they are not as easy or in all systems. For example Serpentis Lookout (Hemorphite,Jaspet,Omber). You can clear this one but cannot leave the site or it will disappear. So you need either to mine pockets before you enter the last one (and somebody else can beat you to it and take out the last pocket). Or have an alt to jump in after clearing the site and mine all ore (have to still try this one out but should be possible within game mechanics). See the eve uni wiki pages about unrated combat sites what they contain in your system.
    wiki.eveuniversity.org/Combat_sites
Sometimes anomalies are gas sites so you can harvest them as well without going to nullsec. There was 1 serpentis escalation that did contain a lot of gas but alas forgot the name and was not on wiki page.
As of nov this year, high sec systems can be targeted by pirate factions with fob's. That means that diamond rats (angels/guristas) will invade asteroid belts and blow up your nice lill orcas and ventures. If you do not want to leave the system and still want to mine, you have the possibility of doing security missions. Some of them do contain the normal high sec ore (never found low sec or null sec ores as mentioned on wiki page , think they nerfed them). See this page for missions up to lvl3 (have not done lvl4 missions so do not know if these could contain null/lowsec ore):
    wiki.eveuniversity.org/Mission_mining
If you do not turn in the mission, the site will be open for 7 days. So uncontested mining.
I love to scan for anomalies and have a pretty unpopulated high sec system (more an isle). Therefore if I discover a site I have multiple ventures, destroyers and cruisers close by so I can quickly act and setup everything.
Have no clue about homefront operations (one is a mining mission) or the newly added pirate faction sites. But I believe these are out of scope of this vid. Hope this info will help some people if you want to solo mine.

Keep in mind that the Crokite Values per unit is 5160 per unit compared to the Ytirium at 1056 per unit which is a 5X [488%] difference in values. It might take longer to collect a bulk like the Ytirium, however, once you do have a nice payload, in your Endurance, it'll be worth 98,040,000 ISK [Uncompressed] that's some real decent value mining there you've come across Jake. Nice! - Duke Vierkrae Xandorluv of Shadowforged. 🤨👍

that doesnt sound right, crokite is likely less unit per m3

Oh! The rare belts will only spawn in systems with a Blue A0 star. Around 256 systems

I tried it, however it looked like everyone and his brother were doing it. The pickings were slim to none. Good info anyway.

If all i want to do is mine in high sec would i be able to make enough to get the monthly sub with ISK or would that take many many months of grinding...

I lost a porpoise and 2 hulks mining these rocks. There were NPC excavators on the rocks when they landed and they flew away and a moment later an NPC fleet flew in and I couldn't escape. sorry for english, i use google translate.

That has nothing to do with these rare ores, don’t mine with a pirate stronghold in system.
It’s not because of these rocks they will mine belts and things in any system they are in.
Check the Agency-Encounters-Strongholds to make sure the system is clear.

You should use a modulated miner to use crystals to increase your mining yield

Use whatever you want, It's HS. I use the Endurance to cut down travel time.
