Thank you! I love how you explain the analysis... you make it seem so simple to get the high grades. This is so useful please continue doing this for the rest of the poems.
thank you so much for these videos. my english teacher is so useless and she doesnt know the poem herself and the whole of our english class is failing. thanks to you i have some hope of passing. these video are so helpful and i am spending my christmas holiday watching all of these. really grateful i found you
literally saving my english grade🙏🙏. I literally laughed out loud when you said “you should have been taught this I hope” when I’m literally watching because we were never properly taught any of the poems😭😭
Thank you so much for this video. I'm just wondering if it would be possible for you to do exposure next, as your video on it is quite old and I think it's a very versatile poem for comparison.
I lived on the Isle of Wight where Tennyson wrote some of his poems. Did he write THE Charge of the Light Brigade when he lived on the Isle of Wight at Farringford. Nr Freshwater?
Hi for SOAPAIMS could you also talk about 'Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of Hell'' and talk about animal imagery, so it is ferocious and brutual batlle, and their deaths are callous and inhumane
Thank you sir for the video it really helps with my aim of the top grades. Also, could you please explain why the sound of the charge (galloping) is recreated? Thanks.
hey not sure if you'll see this, I'm just wondering if this analysis works for the dactyls and the song like rhythm. I want to know if I could say that the song like rhythm gives the poem a childlike quality which could be Tennyson's subtle criticism on how this war and what happened was childish
Hi Sir, what do you recommend comparing the Charge of the light brigade to, for the best analysis? Also, what would you recommend comparing war photographer to? By the way, your videos are amazing!
I thought to compare Bayonet charge to The Charge of the Light Brigade, but I also think it compares well with remains, so I don't know which one to do?
Hey Mr salles thank you so much for your hard work and determination to get us those grade 9s. I was just wondering if I could send you an essay I wrote on Macbeth and if you could give me feeback on it. Thank you😊
Could you say that the repetitive use of "honour" creates a sense of a mocking tone- he is somewhat trying to mock these noble virtues that have influenced and brainwashed these men to do animalistic things by the order of the aristocracy without event thought. Alternatively, it might be representing Tennyson's pride fo the brave and noble men who have put their lives on their line to defend their country.
literally what is the fifth quote??? theres ‘half a league, half a league // half a league onward // all in the valley of death rode the six hundred’ ‘theirs but to do and die’ ‘while all the world wondered’ and ‘honour the charge they made, honour the light brigade’
Thank you! I love how you explain the analysis... you make it seem so simple to get the high grades. This is so useful please continue doing this for the rest of the poems.
I will do. If you follow the video, I think the grades are easy!

Fosse
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish What is BOOTSE?
Thank you sir for the video it really helps with my aim of the top grades. Also, could you please explain why the sound of the charge (galloping) is recreated? Thanks.
would you compare this with remains
Can do
I think exposure is a good comparison if you are talking about realities of war!
hey not sure if you'll see this, I'm just wondering if this analysis works for the dactyls and the song like rhythm. I want to know if I could say that the song like rhythm gives the poem a childlike quality which could be Tennyson's subtle criticism on how this war and what happened was childish
Yes
I’m currently in year 10 and I am revising my poems how many quotes is best to do for each poem
5
If you can write large comparison peas I'd say two really juicy quotes per poem
anyone else watching this during quarantine haha

They both compare to every other war poem
Superb

I will read it, but can't promise feedback. Post it here and other viewers might also give you advice.

The latter is the conventional view
@@MrSallesTeachesEnglish sorry, but i dont undertsand what that means.
That second sentence of yours is the 5/6 view that most of the country will have.the examiners want to look for summa outside the box
how would u turn into grde 9

what poems compare?
I have a video on that
bro said 5 quotes then did 4
literally what is the fifth quote???
theres ‘half a league, half a league // half a league onward // all in the valley of death rode the six hundred’
‘theirs but to do and die’
‘while all the world wondered’
and ‘honour the charge they made, honour the light brigade’
never mind i found it, the fourth quote is repeated in a later stanza: ‘All the world wondered’
Netflix adaptation of mr bruff
Cheers mate
😱😱😱😱😱😱 I will pass
.
:)
you should actually annotate the poem
@Miles Black i know i didnt mean it rudly i like his way
