When Ateez performed this it was only a few months after their debut. Choosing to record a video with their faces covered was a huge risk.
This song includes some very Ateez things.
The song talks about then being a suicide squad-the troops that have a mission they are not expected to survive.
I think the song-lore aside-focuses on that inner fire/drive to succeed and the risks involved. For a group only a few months old-this is a bit of a theme song.

For the next song I really do recommend The Real by Ateez! It has some korean traditional instruments in it and is a very unique yet very good song in my opinion :)
They're the BEST EVER! even my mom likes them!!! they're insanely good!!! No one other groups have their power and their dance quality. the song's words are also really good and impressive, not just pop music, their another level...more than the usual kpop.

With almost all their music it doesn't matter how it starts, it will have you hyped by the end
Regarding performances, I think "Inception" by Ateez is their best performance ever. But the performance itself it's theatre like( idk how to explain) and the song is more soft and emotional.
But if you want to see some energetic stuff like you're used to, "The Real" it's the perfect song. I saw someone in the comments recommending it already. Also, the MV for "The Real" is a masterpiece. It's one of their best perfomances and they say it speaks a lot about their identity as Ateez.

San, the one at the center for the final dance break, has broken so many mics during this part. You can often see his head mic go flying off. More recently, he said he always brings 3 mics just in case.

this is going back to the beginning of Ateez, this video is not about pretty faces to get people's attention, no amazing shots to surprise people, no brand clothes to attract people just ateez music and their dance. I must add their company didn't have the money to make a video like Halazia at all, they could only dream about it but they earned it just with that, Ateez talent and their lives performances
idk if someone has mentioned this, but Ateez gets the nickname "the last 30 seconds" among kfans because they always have that satisfying explosive endings!
There isn't much going on in this MV because it is a performance video. This song was the second song off the album so there was no official MV for it. The title track Say My Name has the official MV.

Yoooooooo Dir En Grey is so good! That would've been a really hard choice for me, because I LOVE Ateez, but I have a super soft spot for Dir En Grey. Their song The Final was my favorite song for, like, 8 years.

Also Mingi (deep voice rapper) was not present for Kingdom because that was during the 8ish months he was out on a mental health hiatus. By the time they finally released an official version of the song onto their Fever Epilogue album he was back and able to record for it and so the official version on streaming sites includes his rap. 🔥
