I am actually a Bsc Zoology student, now gave the neet exam this year didn't scored well plus due to the scam I don't wanna give more attempts.
My main motto is to make money no passion garbage or anything, After the research I came to know that the field of finance can actually make someone millionaire besides medical & law.
So tell me what's best after BSC zoology should I do MBA (CAT or GMAT) or any other fields ???

    Here how CAT competition works.
2.5 lac. Apply for the exam
2.2 lac appear for the exam
Now here we need to consider some factors like
    1. Students who are stressed
    2. Timepass Students
    3. First timers
    4. Academics
    5. Gender Diversity
    6. Academic Diversity
After considering these factors there will be not more 70,000 students who are worthy of being to get into top 70 colleges in INDIA which provides a avg package of 12 lacks and above. I am not saying that 12 lacks is good enough money but for some it is. So, from these 70k Students and mind you i am not talking about the 90%ile +++ students... Students do get a call even at 80 or 75 or 87.... and then they also go on to convert them as well....
. And if talk about the seats then here's the calculation --
    Top 70 colleges - avg intake 400 - 21,000 seats = opportunities.
Ofcourse there are some things left. But i can't type it all.... so.... PEACE.
I truly support your channel man. But there’s more to the story.❤❤😊

Okay. Guys who are here for some motivation for CAT. This is my experience.
I finished my engineering in 2022, around august. But I was totally free from march itself. So I decided to try to study for cat which was held on November 2022. I started my preparations in April and for the next 3 months I studied for like 3 hours a day. Then for the next three months I increased the number of hours to 5-6. As the exam was close, like when a month was remaining, I stopped studying new things entirely. I started to solve mock papers and all the AIMCATS that I didn’t give. Each paper solving and analysis took me about 3-4 hours. And I solved about 2-3 mocks a day. In retrospect if I have to say how long I studied for CAT seriously, it was hardy 5-6 months.
When two days reminded for the exam, I stopped everything. I went to my native place where my cousin brothers marriage was being held a day after my CAT exam(my exam centre was also close by). I didn’t study anything or solve anything. Had a bit of fun and made sure to not drink alcohol the day before the exam.
That was it, the day of the exam came and went by in a whiff. Didn’t think one bit about it after that. Two months later I got my results and I had scored 95 percentile.
Trust me, cracking CAT is not difficult and it doesn’t take years. Just a bit of effort and patience to consistently put that effort.
One more advice to everyone trying. Try to minimise all the things in your life when you start preparing for the exam.
My day for example during the peak study period consisted of the following-
    1. Waking up at 5
    2. Study
    3. Cook breakfast
    4. Newspapers analysis
    5. Solve mock/paint
    6. Cook lunch
    7. Study/paint
    8. Hit the gym
    9. Freshen up and cook dinner
    10. Watch an episode of House MD
Whatever your schedule is, just keep consistent. Find me and kick my ass if you still don’t get good results after that.

@@mrright.3910 bro don’t need to call me sir n all XD I’m only 23.
And for your question about mathematics, the syllabus is of 10th standard. The difficulty of problems might be a little higher. But it will be easier for you if you had maths in 11/12 since you will have solved such problems.
Don’t worry before you even start to study. Just start somewhere, in under a month you will be able to solve high level problems in that section and more. Because not every new topic is going to be new once you get the hang of “learning”.
Remember, CAT doesn’t test you about how much you know, but how fool proof your learning skills are.

  • @Aparna_19
    @Aparna_19 ปีที่แล้ว +51

Okay before anyone (especially a tier 2 student) starts crying because of this video, here are a few things to remember:
    1. You’re supposed to give your best shot at an exam, but the exam is not going to define your destiny.
    2. You’re supposed to develop a personality and a profile because working in the corporate world isn’t limited to being from an iim, FMS or isb.
    3. What you do inside your office and the effort you put in while generating returns for your company is what will make your career.
    4. Top 10 of tier2 are better than the bottom of the barrel of tier 1.
    5. You don’t need an mba to succeed, it just gives you a nudge. If you have the skills, you’ll grow.
    6. Consistency is key, hardwork goes in collaboration with it.
    7. Work on your spoken English a little. It definitely helps.
Take videos like these as opinions and a different perspective, listen to it but act on life as you see fit. A TH-camr on the internet shouldn’t have the power to break your heart, dreams or have this much influence over your decisions. Listen, learn, MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS. He’s giving his side of the story, you don’t have to agree, you build your own narrative based on your experiences.

    Interesting presentation skills.
Just playing the devil's advocate here. While a few of the points raised in the video (exam flexibility, number of test takers, percentile benchmarks for colleges) are correct, there are a few things that unsettled me.
    1. A comparison between the total cost of the two exams: GMAT coaching can be as much as and sometimes even more expensive than CAT coaching depending on the duration you are enrolled for a certain program. If we factor in the consulting charges in GMAT (College guidance, SOPs, LORs, interview preparations, scholarship essays, etc), the price difference becomes significantly large. So, a higher exam fee, a comparable coaching fee (assuming that you are going for one), and a consulting fee elevate the cost of taking GMAT by a considerable proportion.
    2. Average time duration to prepare for both exams: While it is true that one can prepare quite comfortably for GMAT in 4-5 months, the same rationale is applicable in CAT also. In fact, majority of the test takers start preparing for CAT from June. One can argue that QA section in CAT is more difficult than that in GMAT, but then again, verbal section in GMAT is more difficult than that in CAT. Hence, purely on the basis of the overall difficulty level of the exams, the average duration to prepare for both the exams is comparable.
    3. GMAT taking me to IIM A or Stanford: Again true! But the IIMs accept GMAT score only for their one year executive program (PGPX), and not for their 2 year programs. To be eligible for PGPX, one needs to have a work experience of at least 4.5-5 years. So, a working professional with a work experience less than that or a fresh graduate can't gain admission into IIM A through GMAT.
    4. Comparison between pay packages: 30 L vs 1.5 cr is a completely misplaced comparison. I think it is important to consider the investments and returns in terms of the same currency value and the metrics of purchasing power parity. If I spent 30 L in INR on my MBA degree in India and got a pay package of 30 L in INR, that's not as bad a deal. If I spent 1.5 cr (USDs converted into INRs) and get an average pay package of 1.5 cr, that's a bad deal because I ended up coughing out 5x amount. Moreover, the calculation of 1.5 cr comes simply multiplying the pay package in USD with the current currency exchange rate. However, owing to the radical differences in cost of living between India and the US, a more prudent way to calculate the same is to multiply the pay package with the purchasing power parity (1 USD is equal to 23 INR in terms of PPP ). When that happens, the math turns skewed. I paid 1.5 cr but got a measly return of 46L! And it is precisely because of this financial scenario that the students can not return to their native countries.
    5. MBA requires a good working experience of 5-6 years: This completely destroys the very purpose of the existence of programs such as YLP IN ISB, 2+2 in Harvard, and Stanford's. These courses have been designed for students who have an early clarity about their career choices. MIM is certainly a good program but the course offerings, pedagogy, and the cohort will again be significantly different from an MBA program.
Although the point that you are trying to make is not completely wrong that a good work experience can add immense value to the learning experience, I don't think that not having a work experience ( or having less than 5-6 years of work experience ) can dampen someone's chances of getting into a good business school.
Overall, I don't intend to say that CAT is better than GMAT. Both exams have their merits and demerits. It is the test taker who decides at the end of the day which is better for him or for her.

Here are some facts... GMAT is for those who have a good profile...most indians ae from tier 2 or tier 3 cities who studied from tier 2 or tier 3 colleges... so CAT is the redemption as you can say. And 85%ile plus can get you good colleges...if u have any reservation,it can get you great colleges... and obviously if u want the best, then you got to score 98%ile+ but trust this that it will be the best thing you can dream of.
No offence to the channel owner, but dont say things if you dont understand it just to sell your abroad college agency or whatever.
No ofference to GMAT tbh as if u have the money and profile you will really waste years doint cat in which you can do GMAT.

There's a huge truth hiding behind this.
    1. Yes CAT is overall more expensive, but you can get into IIMs which have hugely less fees than foriegn UNIs. ROI in a long term would be good, but unless you have 60 lacs+ in your account you can't get into top 10 bschools.
    2. GMAT is ONLY accepted for one year programs. So the 2 year MBA requires CAT still.
    3. You can EASILY crack CAT with 5-6 months of dedicated study. 95+ is super achievable.
    4. GMAT is only recommended if you have 4+ years of workex as then IIMs start considering you over-experienced.

So think twice before wasting your time on CAT ...CAT' s level is just going up year by year ...I am not demotivating anyone here but just saying it from experiences .So what is there for Averages then? There are OMETS too but note that only few top colleges( 15-20) are under OMETS so better take a job perpare for GMAT ,its an easier exam than CAT .

CAT exam insures that the finest are a part of top tier college and if you are the lucky one you get the chance to study at an great institute with excellent teachers and quality peer learning.
if any one of you guys that giving GMAT will be easy looking at the acceptance rate of abroad uni w.r.t. number of application, lets clear one thing the number of application at broad uni are way less bcoz of work ex eligibility so there shouldn't be any comparison
and i have seen people who got 85 percentile in CAT score 750 in GMAT as GMAT is easier than CAT.
the reason what IIM are so hyped and they are worth the hype bcoz they take if the finest and provide the finest.
all my friends out there, if you are planning to give CAT give do it will all the might but also gain knowledge and diversify your portfolio/pro in the process as 99 percentile with to experience, personality or knowledge will never get you in an IIM or top MBA course

Although i agree with all of your points mentioned in the video.. But here are a few points you missed out on:
    i) If the candidate is Indian and want to get into IIMs with a gmat score they can only get into the executive programs and not the flagship MBA/PGP.
ii) You cannot compare an US Bschool paycheck with an Indian Bschool paychecks keeping in mind the Purchasing Power Parity.. This also justifies the fees though..
iii) It is not any easier to get into IVY leagues all of them have an average acceptance rate of less than 5% and if you dont have a stellar profile it is close to impossible to get in..
iv) If you dont have a stellar profile you will generally be going to counsellors who will decide the target and the dream schools according to your profile and also help you with the process to get in.. They charge a lot..
Disclaimer: I am not anyway in favour of any one of the exams.. I myself have gone through gmat and have an admit from ISB..

  • @Varun-yj4vu
    @Varun-yj4vu ปีที่แล้ว +5

Your video is full of exaggeration and kind of an overreact. Although I can understand the point which you have made.
But let me give you a scenario, think about someone who earns 20-30k a month. Now he is slowly trying to understand the responsibilities he will have in the future, specifically when he will get married and will have children. Do you realistically believe that he will be able to provide his family and himself at 30k a month ? Do you think he will be able to give his children the best education at 30k a month ? Lets say every year he gets an increment of 10% in his salary, still this increment won't make a big difference !
Now imagine this same young man gives the entrance exams, clears it, pursues MBA from a fairly decent college, not even from the top ones, still manages to gets a package of 20LPA. He will earn min. 1 lakh per month. How much more he will be able to do in all aspects of his life with this extra 60-70k !!!
Also this was just the money aspect of MBA which I mentioned. There are lot many things which a student gets to know while pursuing the course from the top college/ university.
Another also is, the competition doesn't work the way you explained. The reality is 'completely different'.
Edit:- If someone believes that MBA is costly, then let me tell you that there are colleges which provide MBA at low cost.
FMS Delhi- Fees- 2 lakh, Average Package - 34 lakh,
    JBIMS Mumbai - Fees - 6 lakh; Average package - 27 lakh.
    TISS Mumbai - Fees - 2 lakh; Average package - 27 lakh.
If you think that these three colleges have a very high cut off then there are some other colleges like DFS, DSE, SIMSREE and many other MBA-CET colleges which have less cut off for pgdm/ mba program with fees ranging from as low as 26k to as high as 8 lakh.
It's my request to all the MBA aspirants to stop finding excuses in videos like this and STUDY.
And believe it or not, if you want to get a high paying job role in a reputed company, you have to have a top notch profile. Because companies don't appoint a person as their CEO or a VP or a Manager from a hululu college/university. They want employees from the top most colleges in the country, if they are offering a top most high paying job. And this is the reality of the world we live in.
Otherwise barely survive like an animal in a 30k per month job for the rest of your life with a mere 5/8/10% increment every year.

If you have such a weak mindset that before starting your preparation, without knowing what is your highest potential, you agree that some random person on the internet is right because he gave you a "statistical overview" about the exams then I'm sorry my friend you'll never achieve the greatness you are meant to.

Heyy Drishti I would highly recommend to appear for CAT
Getting in Top b schools is not that difficult as he mentioned
And specifically for you you’ll be getting some extra points for Gender diversity as well as you’ve done your graduation in BA which gives you and unfair advantage (they want less percentile from you ) over engineers
      CAT is no brainier

I do believe that the quant of GMAT is way more easier than CAT quant but for an average student perspective i won't say that the verbal part is very easy and in order to get a good score (i.e 680< ) it will require a lot of practice and may some guidance or tuition as well.
One must be prepared mentally for it .
Don't think that it's gona be a piece of cake.

Absolutely, GMAT will also require time, but my point is not as much time as CAT would require.

My whole interests align with them. Now I am not going to wait for these jobs even tho they pay me very handsomely. So, what do you recommend for people who are genuinely not interested in software and the programming industry and would rather change career path sooner then waiting for 5 years?
