Like setting up a message block but using a Generic Ethernet/IP inside of Logix 5000. I am trying to communicate to an Ethernet device but am a bit lost. I added an AnyBus device to my Ethernet network and can see it but I am lost from there how to read or write bit commands.
Yes but you have to set up the message block a certain way to be able to communicate to a non-Rockwell device. To answer your question, yes....generic set up but in some instances you need that devices info added, it is hard to tell because it is application based.

For that control you need to use standard messaging not produced & consumed data.
Produced & consumed is only for the ControlLogix platform
