We stayed at this lovely little hotel and had the biggest welcome from Angela the manager and her dog franco it is a 2 min walk to the supermarket and 5 min walk to the beach , the bus stop is a 2 min walk ,It is a very quiet and social hotel the room,s bedding and were cleaned daily
Perissa is a popular holiday resort that sits on the south east coast of Santorini, it’s around 12km from the islands capital Fira and it would normally take about 20 minutes to make the journey by car.
As Perissa is on the opposite side of the island to the caldera you’ll find the prices for hotels, drinks and meals to be a lot more reasonable. It’s also the side of the island with the best beaches, still don’t expect soft golden sand though.
Perissa is an attractive village with whitewashed houses and volcanic scenery. It was mostly built in the sixties and some say it lacks the authentic Greek charm of other villages but it makes up for that with its relaxed sea side nightlife.
The village is the perfect spot for a package holiday, you can enjoy the beach in the day and relax in the almost unlimited choice of restaurants and bars in the evening. Everything you need is right on the doorstep with an abundance of hotels to choose from, vehicle hire shops, supermarkets, cash machines and all sorts of entertainment including Greek nights with traditional dancing, live music and if you look hard enough, the odd karaoke night too.
