My thoughts exactly. Everybody gets wet in the comments but these cars are kinda tame. I had a 73 with 500hp 350. It barely idled and you had to get on it to get it off the line .
@@rayota260 A hi-lift cam sounds good with lots of duration, helps it rev faster, but coming out the gate requires lower gears for a cammed up engine. Agree?
@@bowhs1 yeah well, i think he was exaggerating when he said you had to "get on it" off the line, sure it doesn't have as much bottom end but not to that extreme
O.K. do you mean that this is a stoker 350 with a 3.75" crank and bone stock bore size of 4.00"? Or that this is a 400 sbc with a 350's crank that is 3.48" in stroke. Those are the two ways you get 377 c.i. from a SBC. Unless you have a super thick block went to 4.070" inch bore size and have a 3.625" and i am suspect that as highly 'unlikely'. Respectfully yours. Some info for readers in case they are confused. Great car.
Answers below. 1. Chevy Block 400 small block. Standard bore. 2. Steel Crank Shaft from a 350 ci. 3. If you use a 6.00 inch rod instead a 5.70 for rod ratio. It would he 1.72 rod ratio. Engine would go to about 7200 rpms.
Nice clone. Need to upgrade the instruments. No endura bumper kind of deletes the bumperette effect but you did it real nice. I'm looking for an old six banger with a 3 speed to gut and restore.
Wow gives a fuck what he wants his to look like it's his I used to have a 1970 Z28 years ago finally saved up some money and spent a few years looking for mine and one of the 2 I was going to choose from just happened to be exactly how I would want mine to look the guy claimed it was a RS but it's not but it's a RS/Z28 clone split front bumpers one circle headlight with turn signal under the headlight rally rims and rally rear lights with Z28 grill and rear spoiler fuck all the haters im not trying to fool anyone im building my car how I want to it just happens to look on the outside already how I like it nice car buddy
@@fuzzo4475 Mr Ryan is correct it was not a split bumper for the Z28 in 1972, the parrking lights are in the same place with both style bumpers. I do like the split bumper look better as well.
That is the perfect exhaust sound ....soooo sweet
Sounds great! I keep going back and fourth ,421 dry sump, ls drop in. These vids complicate things in a good way! Beautiful car!!
Very nice! The cars I grew up with. First and second Gen Camaro/Firebirds were cheap fun and everywhere. This is a fine restored example.
That is one bad ride!! Awesome!! Sounds fantastic!
Nice car! Would love to have that with a tremec 6 speed.
Good ol small block, love it!!! I sure do miss my '68😩😩
Nice ride bro,sounds perfect!
Tighten up that alternator belt boy
I just love the split bumpers and the white and black stripes is just beautiful. Awesome car Sir
My favourite car ever EVER
Do you have any pictures of the engine bay? Love the clean look, would like to replicate what you did on mine.
Nice and clean. I miss my 71 z.!
thanks for the Stiffy!!
Back when we thought 185 hp and a 6.3s 0-60 was a bad ass
State of the art there, badass.
Yep, times have changed. I had an aftermarket 500hp in 80's. Today people say so does my factory truck.
Tastefully done. Clean.
She's Clean man love it
Looks beautiful

A little cam but NO MONSTER INDEED!!!!!!!!

I fuckin like it. Very cool. Be nice to have a 69 and a 68 z/28 with matching color combo.
thats not a big cam. its idling at 1000 or so. Thats very mild . maybe 234 degrees at .050
What combo was used to reach 377 ?

The fanbelt is loose.
Another reason to have electric fans: one less thing to squeal, plus you get better cfm sitting at a stoplight.
I know older video - great sounding great looking camaro but dump those dork thrust rims

You dont have brake boosters with monster cams.

Whats wrong with the split bumper? Looks perfect to me.
Cause it’s not the correct front end for the bumpers
@@MrRyan6616 Guess you can make that argument. I've just preferred the look of the parking lights under the split bumper. Thats just me though.

false advertizing, click bait....No cam thump at all.
You can't bore a 350 to a 377.....
A 350 with a 400 crank is a 383,stock bore. A 400 block with a 350 crank is around a 377 cu in.
18s or 20s in the back yo? Lol
Those wheels No!
...and a wannabe Rally Sport front end. 🤣
