If you were looking for a free video editor, hopefully this video helped you out. While it may be tempting to use a freemium online video editors, I’d advise against it. They all have pay walls, limitations to export resolutions and will require that you be online to use them… Thanks for watching!
I was able to figure out Openshot pretty quickly and I was able to be productive. I guess I will eventually try to move up to Kdenlive or Davinci Resolve.
Another excellent video. I am looking for a very simple, easy to use editor. I had used Microsoft Movie maker for years but when my PC that had it installed died, i lost it. Latest version adds watermarks. Which free editor is easiest to learn? I only need cut/pasting and adding text overlays. Thank you. Been a fan of yours since your start.

Shotcut is my fav :) love the drag and drop minimal work :)
Thank you
I'm not surprised that Davinci Resolve came on top. I love using it but I wished they came out with more exciting titles.
As usual, terrific recommendations! Thanks Brett! 👍👍
Thank you video came right on time! Blessings to you.
VSDC has been my go to video editor for at least 8 years or so. No need for resource hungry programs like DaVinci...
Really awesome info, this is a tough choice however, I am starting with Open Shot until I get throw the learning curve. It appears simple enough.

Good video, wish me luck to have free time in the future for video editing.
I like Shotcut - easier to use but still quite feature rich
Not rlly. It doesn’t have alot. Upload times are also superrrr long
Thanks, I have been looking for a new video editor.👍👍👍
KdenLive works very well on my 12 year old PC! I don't need DavinciResolve and I know you need a much higher spec pc to run it.
Kdenlive is pure free editor with more features than any other FOSS video editor.
Does it come with addons?
kdenlive also runs older machines like breeze!
Thank you very much 🙏
Please which of these tools have screen recording ?

Shotcut is easy to use with not a lot of features. Kdenlive is very similar. Tutorials on YT can help.
@@BrettInTech Thank you for your fast response. I will try them.
Which one compares best to Vegas Pro?
I had VSDC Pro. I found to buttons too small. Blender and Devinci will not operate on my present PC, because there isn't enough memory.
no capcut?
in bonus section
Can you get DaVinci Resolve 19 without having to give personal details across. Is there another way?
Yes! Don't give "REAL" personal details.
Do any of these allow the video to be rendered in 4k with a watermark?
Openshot kept crashing on me, so I switched to Shotcut. But now I'm thinking about trying VSDC
