Celebrating Mass & Biko

Every year South Africans celebrate the life of Stephen Bantu Biko who was tortured and murdered by apartheid police in September 1977. The legendary activist who was with him when he was arrested at a roadblock, Peter "P C" Jones, delivered an "Imagine Another Country" address at a special Eucharist at St George's Cathedral.
Jones says some South Africans are "threatened by the mirror" of Biko's life because they are "preoccuped by shallow agendas" and driven by economic interests.
