I was dying to hear your thoughts on this foundation because I bought it as soon as it came out and loved it 😂 I also wanted to share that I've been able to make it pretty transfer proof by setting it with powder (hourglass veil) and a setting spray (charlotte tilbury setting spray). I have combination dehydrated skin for anyone wondering 😊

Can I just say.. THANK YOU for showing your actual skin texture up close. My nose area is very similar to yours and I kept feeling so frustrated that every foundation showed the texture. When you zoomed in and showed your texture and said "it looks good" I instantly realised that it's never going to look flawless because there's no such thing, we are human. Basically thanks for helping me get a grip haha
Just recently used my Kosas foundation ! I’m obsessed, it dries well and brightens the skin beautifully

I mix my foundations with a drop of Inkey List Polyglutamic Acid moisturizing serum, which is magic. On day 1 of my wear test of the new reformulated Makeup Forever HD foundation. Held up really well through getting my hair done, mask-wearing, and an unseasonably warm day.
I’ve been meaning to run through some of my other foundations but this one is calllliiiinnnggggg to meeeeee.

I appreciate that you reviewed it with two day wear... The first day reviewed all of the Revealer set (foundation+concealer+setting powder) because a two day wear will confirm what you think of the product and the fact that you used all three in the set let's us know if all three are good products because when we try for the first time we want to save money buying it as a set but worry that not all the products live up to the hype. I can confidently buy the full set now. Thank you 💕
I am really REALLY interested in this foundation and also the CT Beautiful Skin that just came out. I just got the Kosas concealer and i'm in love, and i've been wanting to try more CT products (so far i have only tried the HFF, which is very lovely on my skin). I live in rural Minnesota, so it's over an hour drive to do any shopping other than WalMart, so i highly value YT reviews and opinions so i don't waste the trip buying stuff that is not worth buying. Returns are not so easy for me. LOL
So grateful for the close up at the end of the day!! Looks so beautiful on the skin, thank you for a thorough review!

I actually have sensitive and slightly oily skin and this worked so well on me - other foundations I’ve tried (even my favourite Rare Beauty) sometimes makes my skin feel a little itchy, but this Kosas foundation just feels like my skin but better 🥲 definitely not transfer proof like you said but it feels so good! ☺️ it doesn’t feel like it’s sitting on my skin. this is definitely going to be my every day go to 🥰 loved watching your thoughts on this Jamie! And the haircut was gorg! 🤎

Amazing!!!! I been shopping around for months now wondering what foundation to try next. This really seems to check a lot of boxes for me and the shades look super promising. Dying to try the concealer too. Btw, I use to be a stylist at a salon in Greenwich CT. that specializes in dry cutting and the stylist did a beautiful job on your hair. It’s so funny to see someone do exactly what I do, Classic dry cut. 🥰 love it! Also Risa Does makeup has a video about 5 best primers or something like that, one of which is the Holy Grail of smoothing texture. I’m kicking myself for not writing it down when I heard about it because I love making recommendations that may be helpful to others when I can. Hopefully I can find it and come back. 😉

Wow! It looks so good on you! It's not my personal favorite foundation (I have normal/combo) skin and it's just okay to me.
I trust you and Julia so much with recommendations! I feel like our tastes are very much in line with each other (even though I have more oily/combo skin). I haven't tried the concealer or the foundation so I really want to try both now!

I'm trying out this foundation for a 2nd time and I'm loving it. I don't even mind the floral scent as it doesn't last very long. It doesn't make my skin burn with the spf in it like some other foundations with spf can.

I actually just used the blush that i wore in the crease and a shimmery shade on my lid (both from the nars afterglow palette linked) - then added a soft wing with a pencil!

I love love this foundation and my hopes were so low because I really didn’t like the concealer. This looks like I have gorgeous skin and have just like a serum on my skin I’m obsessed. I hate how much it transfers though but I think I can deal with it because of how nice it looks like on the skin 😍
Even though this sounds weird, I'm glad you hated the concealer. I found it okay for spot treatments, but it irritated my under eyes if I wore it a few days in a row. So I'm excited to get the foundation a try, just for the finish and all the amazing skin care ingredients.
I ordered this foundation before your review! As soon as I saw your vid was up I watched it immediately. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to watch a vid 😂. I feel like our skin types are similar and everything you love, I love as well! This is one of my new fav foundations!! Perfection for me.

I was eyeing this one so hard because I love Kosas but man, brands putting niacinamide in everything and my skin being irritated by that ingredient is saving me a ton of money
Yup niacinamide breaks me out
I'm ok w niacinamide, but the chemical sunscreens in other products are a firm nonstarter for me -- definitely has saved me some money, too!
This is how i am with niacinamide AND hyaluronic acid. And they're both in so many products lately, which is good for my bank account!
Such a good little review! Are you going to try the lys concealer?! I was wondering how similar it was to the Kosas line - I like the price point of LYS but have to do a comparison of the skincare ingredients in both! I feel like sometimes it is false advertising because there can be so little of the skincare ingredients that it is kind of irrelevant

I was thinking, in a month or two I would love to have like a top three daily foundations and a top three event foundations video (if you want to mention different ones depending on the season that could also be interesting). Since I have been following you for a while now, you have discovered so many favs and would love to see who your updated tried and true queens are 👑

2. Koh gen do aqua
3. It cosmetics cc cream

Love your foundation review - I always seem to like the ones you do! It would be nice to see how a foundation does with being touched up after wearing a mask, if it layers nicely over itself. Some foundations wear beautifully but become a hot mess when touched up

I love the concealer and powder, I think I would enjoy this too I’m just a bit concerned that I have normal skin but can get oily through the day in my cheek and nose area. I’m still going to try it though

I was really interested in seeing your opinion on this foundation. We live in similar climates (Ottawa) and I have dry skin too. I enjoy the cloud set powder and bought it from your recommendation (as well as many other beauty products ie Josie Maran body creams, Tower 28 cream blushes). Hi I’m new to your channel I wanted to know if you are going to do a review on the caliray skin tint ?
Strivectin is the primer which is recommended for lines but I feel as tho texture and lines could be in the same wheel house. Worth a shot. It’s Risa Does Makeup top 10 primers for mature skin and it’s the first primer she talks about in the video and they’re all time stamped as well.
I couldn’t wait and ordered mine last weekend. Relieved to see your review. But wondering now if Id chose it over LYS since its the same amount and LYS is half the price.
Hmmmmm they’re both similar in a lot of ways so it’s hard to choose! I think bc I would wear kosas more day to day, I would go with that

Ugh....after watching this I ordered the foundation and unfortunately my first attempt of wearing it failed. My skin is combo leaning more dry, and mature. It ended up very cakey and my dryness and texture was emphasized. So I will definitely try again with different skincare/primer. Wish me luck!!
I have this foundation and the Saie Airset powder coming in the mail tomorrow and I'm so excited! I think the powder will definitely help with transfer, at least to an extent, and it seems like it adds a little bit more glow too! (I like the shine but not the tackiness/stickiness of dewy foundations so sometimes even the Kosas powder takes away what I want to keep, hoping this powder will fix that for me)
P.S. Jamie - what lip gloss were you wearing on the 2nd day? I loved it

Has anyone noticed a rally strong paint-like scent from Kosas concealer after a while? I've had to go through 3 of them not because I used them all up, but because the scent was too strong. I wonder if the foundation is gonna do the same, which would suck because I really loved the coverage and the consistency!
It’s probably because it is a “clean” beauty product so it has a shorter shelf life than most other concealers?
Yeah it expires super quickly. I barely get 3-5 months out of the concealers

Hi Jamie ~ Do you also use the SkinFix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Hydrating Cleanser? I boldly thought I would step out of my comfort zone from my tried and true Peter Lamas Vit. C foaming cleanser and try the SkinFix. I am loving it. I feel it has helped my drier skin.
I just received a sample of the SkinFix cream you started with. You said it's thick. Is it the kind of thick that makes your face sweat? *I don't like that
I have Kosas tinted oil that I use occasionally. It takes a bit of finagling to make it work. But I like it.
However, I am not a fan of their concealer. But, I must admit I have never liked concealers of any kind. They always make my undereyes look worse. Luckily I don't have dark circles that often, but they are hollowing out with age, and allergies. Nothing I can do about that.
This looks very good on your skin.
The finish is glowy but a natural, pretty kind of glow.
I am still trying to decide if the Kosas powder needs to be tried. And this foundation may be tried in the future...
along with a couple Kosas brow products.

it only rubbed off after wearing a mask! but it doesn't naturally break up or anything!

I am really interested to hear from you whether you’ve found that your Kosas products expire quickly? I have the revealer concealer, which has a PAO of 6 months. I’ve had mine for about that long and it smells like blue cheese. The original 10 second eyeshadow has a PAO of 12 months and mine smells rancid after 9 months. I liked these products and I’m sure I’d like the foundation, but I can’t afford to replace these makeup items every 6 months or so
