I don't know why, but I think I'm smitten with wagons now. What's awesome for me is that there are all these amazing used wagons for sale at good prices. I can't believe these things aren't more popular. This car is dead sexy from the front and sides, rear is kinda questionable but eh. I love a sharp car, but if I'm driving my car everyday, the thing I care about most is the interior and functionality (I'm coming from driving a Mustang for the past 5 years). Wagons make so much sense. I've driven an Alfa Romeo which is considered a sporty SUV, and the way they achieve that is stiffer shocks...which means you suffer on bumps. But the wagon is already lower to the ground, and doesn't need to be as stiff to compensate for a higher ride height. I dunno, maybe I'm crazy for commenting on a video made at the tail end of 2014...but this vid resonated with me. I'm tired of seeing SUV's everywhere. What I see at a stop light driving by me is always like 5 jeeps, a few chevy's, a Mazda or two, and a Kia soul. It's odd to think that seeing a wagon is refreshing, given that they're considered to be out of style. Maybe that's what big name designers mean when they say that things in design/fashion come in cycles. What's old seems new I guess lol. I enjoyed your review vid, and the music worked well I thought :)
I appreciate your logic when comparing this car to that of an SUV or crossover. My E320 wagon does more than any Honda or Mazda could ever expect to offer.
May of 2024 I drove one with 105k miles on it and I'd swear it has 10k miles on it. Still looks amazing and has some of the smoothest acceleration I've ever felt. It's on the short list of next cars.
I have the 2014 and it is such a pleasure to own. It's a wagon for life. FYI, just put some money aside if you happen to get one for maintenance.. It is for affluent/ rich people. Very worth it. People look!
I wish there were more wagons in the world. I grew up in the back of a Volvo 240d wagon and then a Volvo V90. My next car hopefully will be a wagon but I will settle for a 5 door hatchback
Top review! Have lusted after an E Class wagon for years, Currently have a 2010 BMW 5 Series wagon that I absolutely looooooooove, but, the nimrods at BMW NA want to push the 5 GT on us (Pontiac Aztek anyone?). So, shortly, will be going down to the local MB dealer and getting myself an Iridium Silver fully loaded Panzerwagen! Wagons are for the discerning driver, crossovers, SUVs, SAVs, and all other 'niche' vehicles (BMW X6?) are for the short sighted ID10TS of the world.
Yes! Another Wagon Fan!!! We have a 2016 Mercedes GL350 Bluetec. 2 reasons why we have the SUV instead of the wagon: 1) to get to our cabin, it requres off roading 2) Towage
My dad has an e350 wagon and he loves it! I'm a bit to tall to sit comfortable in it. I'm not sure what it is maybe if the driver seat went lower I would like it better. Overall it's a great car has been reliable although it only has 10 or 15 thousand km on it so
I'm a wagon fan and am always keeping a line out for the low mileage A6 Avant or 5-Series Sportwagon - though most people put a lot of miles on their before they let them go. Looking forward to the arrival of the Volvo V90, as then there will be a grand total of TWO larger wagons in the market here. We no longer have a nice American-badged wagon, though, which is a shame. Especially since Ford makes a great looking Fusion (Mondeo) wagon for the rest of the world (And a Fusion hatch, which would be a nice addition to their line if they could see bringing it to us.) Mazda's 6 wagon also looks like a more interesting version of their good-looking sedan - but not for the likes of us, I guess. The market drives all that of course, but maybe a car like the V90 - not cheap, but rolling in at less than the Merc and lots bigger than the V60 - can help the maker drive the market.
$70K...that’s why you don’t see any of them. Someone needs to make a $25K wagon, it would sell. And no the Subaru crossovers don’t count. Also these 2015s are now $25K used...YIKES! That’s a lot of depreciation.
Great review, Jeff! I gotta agree on the price, seems a bit steep for what you're getting. I would have liked to see a shot of the third row, though. :P
Nice video I'd give it three stars. But I could only watch half of it because the music was driving me buggy.Without that distraction I would have watched the whole thing and given you four out of five stars.
It's from the TH-cam Creator Studio. This one is by Otis McDonald and I believe it's called Otis McMusic. He also created the song in the background of the V12 Vantage S Roadster video.
My dad has this car and I got to say there's a lot that kinda sucks about this car especially for 70 plus grand. The infotainment is pretty junk the steering isn't set up that well and requires a lot of adjustments on highway. The ride is just ok. The comfort in this car could and should be a lot better the seating position isn't great. The sound system isn't that great my Accord sport has a better sound system. The brake pedal requires way too much pressure for this car the amount of time I have almost hit stuff because I haven't pressed on the brake enough is nuts. Also you really have to take your eyes off the road to adjust the ac. And overall the car just doesn't drive that well I've driven 2008 gl450s that drive better. Overall this car just makes me nervous when I drive it and it's not because it's my dads car it's because it doesn't drive very well. Overall I think there are much much better cars for your money

Commenting on a 3 year old comment on an 8 year old video, and long roofs still rule.

About to buy this exact model/color for my wife!!
My Daily is a 94E320 wagon with 260k miles.
The Best or Nothing.
Mercedes-Benz.

It's interesting how the states never got the E400 Wagon for the 15/16/17 MY like we did in Canada.
Yes agreed - want one. Former owner of an R Class - great utility. E wagons are huge in Europe.
What type of R class? I grew up with an 06 r500 and don’t hear about many ppl owning one either

I got a good deal (I hope) on an '08 MB E350 4matic wagon. I love it!
In Europe it is just as common to see E Class wagons as it is for sedans. Or maybe slightly more wagons than sedans.

I finally got one but it ain’t the sport variant 🙃
Long live the long roof!

You should have a boat load more subscribers. Great video.
We're working on it... thank you. Earlier in the year when we started popping videos on here, we had about 500 subs.
You state this is a dual clutch automatic. It is not, it has a torque converter.
Great review, Jeff! I gotta agree on the price, seems a bit steep for what you're getting.

C class wagon is where it's at
It starts at $77,000 here in Canada.
A good E400 CPO would do the trick for me...
Nice video I'd give it three stars. But I could only watch half of it because the music was driving me buggy.Without that distraction I would have watched the whole thing and given you four out of five stars.
I love wagons
I want a 2014 e350 wagon in cardinal red.
What's the backing track here?
It's from the TH-cam Creator Studio. This one is by Otis McDonald and I believe it's called Otis McMusic.
He also created the song in the background of the V12 Vantage S Roadster video.
The Hooniverse That was going to be my next question. Thanks! Both tracks are great!
The Hooniverse Thanks!
I love my A4 Avant (even if it's not that quick) so I'm with you all the way regarding the wagon fanaticism.
What about fuel consumption?
ha, im looking at buying an AMG Wagon and shop at whole foods... I def AM not rich as the dude buying an SLS haha
I know I geez, but please mix the background music down a bit. It was a distraction from an otherwise excellent review.
R.
Yooooo, The music is banging... Video and passion is flava!!!
derrickdgb1 shut up
@@richardburns9772 Please clarify your comment, for clarity?
derrickdgb1 “clarify you’re comment, for clarity,” you really are a moron aren’t you?

Someone should put a HEMI in on of these...
There's the E63...:)
I'd use some razor from the dollar shave club and shave that ugly music off the sound track
Screw that lame advertisement shave club Jackos. You lost me!
You should stop shaving.
talk alot and say nothing ! excruciating !
