Awesome day on the water! Those were some beautiful browns and steelhead. Gonna try and get out this spring for steelies on the Salmon River. Be my first time going.
Thanks Brother, We had a blast Best time to go to Salmon river is in winter... Fall run is a combat with guys shoulder to shoulder for miles, or try to catch a early salmon run on the salmon river, that's what i usually do
@@2turbopower yeah I know man. I grew up in Oswego and we used to go down to the river as kids and watch the fights break out haha. I might try and get out there if we get a warmup before the spring. You've got me motivated to give it a try. Your using a float rig right? Been doing a little research
@@2turbopower ok buddy thanks. That's what I was looking to use was the roe bags or the imitation plastic sacks but maybe I'll use the jigs and beads instead
@@FitzYakin Yea man they usually have a slow bit in the winter, You have to get the bait as close as possible to them in order to get them to bite , jigs,beads,sacks, all work.
Well done Paul. Winter time can be a grind but you managed to get into them. I left a big skunk at Oak last time I was there, not a good feeling, glad you got into a few bows and browns, nice colours on the male brown. Good stuff pal.

@@FitzYakin Yes i usually float fish , for steelhead , Salmon or browns mostly jigs and beads, im not a big fan off using roe bags.

Its just a 6lb test, with about a 3 foot leader, and jig under the float.
