15 thumbs down , i know its sad to see a fish like that killed i do understand but at least it was an ethical catch on a jig and float and not fly flossed or snagged
I have a rule in my head it's to keep middle sized fish, no big or small, keep average size. which I got from ace videos channel, it makes perfect sense because little are too small to eat, and big ones population too little to keep. I got scared that you were going to release it at first because you rolled it around on the ground and dry hands and keeping it out of the water for insanely long but you kept it so it's all good. I always try to encourage ppl to handle fish they release verry well because why would you release it if you just pretty much killed it? Great video👍
Agreed I would keep a couple small rainbows a couple times per year but never large ones unless they were injured . And not browns especially the large ones spawners plus large brown and bow don’t taste good and higher in chemicals
Good too see other fisherman helping each other, I’m pretty new to your channel but love your vids get lots of info and tips from can’t wait to see what you real in next 🤘
Bill & Mikes Angling Adventures no prob man, have you ever fished the Saugeen river in Ontario b4? It’s got a awesome steelhead and salmon fishery would be really cool to see you guys on my home river
Congratulations bill, that's a massively massive, monster of a monster brownie. Ya might need to ask for a net for Christmas. Lol . Looks like a white Marabou with a little flashabou tied in. Great job bud.
Really neat to see you get excited about a fish. You guys always enjoy it, but it was cool to see a fish that could bring the nervous excitement and make you start repeating phrases during the fight---I think as fishermen we all do that when we are excited. They are going to open a taxidermy store across from the dam where the fish cleaning station is. I was catching salmon on pink and white jigs. Browns and Steelies on bright yellow beads. Also a bead called egg yolk and white beads. Happy fishing.
