Btw for budget runners, 6B13 and 6B23-2 usually sell on the flea market for 10k roubles, most of them are damaged beyond usability however, you can sometimes find ones which still have most of their hitpoints for the same price.
i'd wish they just reduced the price for that and allow us to purchase that green camo one. I mean, it looks cool as hell, thats why i want to wear it but it always is extremely expensive compared to what it does.

Yepp! I have like 2.5 million saved and still rock these lower level kits with insurance. I find even with level 5-6 gear, it is still very very easy to get killed which ends up being a massive loss of money. I'd rather go in confident knowing even if I die I only lose about 100K rubles TOPS, and will get half that back through insurance, than go in sweaty with an altyn and be scared out of my mind about losing the nearly 500K+ kit to a well placed head shot. Not worth it imo.

The reason I opt for the Zhuk armour is because most people run m995 in Labs, and when going against m995 with a gen4 you might aswell not be wearing armour. I also feel like the tactec on top of the Zhuk is enough to prevent major durability loss on your armour when killing raiders. I agree that you get your arms blown off by raiders pretty often with no arm protection tho.
I do like the 6B13 Tan (Killa) armor a lot for class 5; if I'm not running labs. Very small movement/turning/ergonomic penalties, repairs like a charm; can be farmed or bought for 150K-180K.
It is even worth picking up if it is zero'd out as you can repair and use it later. Got it a few times as a scav and finding a dead Killa who had been looted for his gun/helmet.
Surprised this wasn't covered. IMO best armor in the game. I've used Prapor to repair from 0/60 to 58/58 (or slightly higher). Class 5 with the lowest penalties. The ONLY downside is that it doesn't cover arms; but neither does the Zhuk-6A or the Gen4 HMK.
@@adamdonato3414 It only costs so much now because it's end of the season and everybody is running Labs trying to lose all their shit and less people are farming the other maps. It used to be 120k and sometimes less. It repairs at a loss of 0.5 to 2.2 armour HP. I still have a THICC case full of them I'm having a hard time losing them all.
6B5-15 Class 4 , trade against toilet paper and soap, so it's very cheap. Can stop multiple hit of pretty much everything except super expensive best shit. So in most cases you don't die too fast. If damaged too much you can repair it for cheap (around 10k) and sell it to skier for 25k and buy soap et TP again. Super heavy armor just cost so much money to get one tap in the face.
Its because we're in the extreme end of wipe of the cycle. People farmed quintillion of rubles on lab the market is saturated to fuck everyone is using max armor and amm9

I ran into a guy with a frankenstein MPX with some random non AP ammo, and another time a guy with an M4 on Interchange with mags full of m885.
Swarm509 there’s also people like me who don’t do the quests or anything and just goes in a collects whatever I can find and use it in the next raid. I have weird as builds because all my stuffs random.
Well i have gotten the game for months on now......... maybe 5 i think? And every raid i go on i get tapped by Ak or m4. Except for some raids where i get matched against lv4's that dont even know how to shoot. Lol.

My absolute favorite armor is the Redut-M because it's the cheapest lvl5 armor and it doesn't mess up my mobility. As for the helmet, I generally don't use one at all. They're just not worth it in general. This patch I tried helmets numerous times but was only saved by it three times as far as I can remember. One of those times it was a hit in the visor while using the LZSh (the small visor that only covers eyes, which basically no one uses) so had it just been the helmet I'd still have died. The price of most helmets would need to be halved for them to potentially be worth the price. The only exception is the steel pot which I wouldn't use even if I was given 18k roubles every time I used it. It's just that ugly. As it is if I'm running something obscenely expensive I'll consider using the LZSh with the small visor but that's as far as I'll go. Unless it's right before the next wipe I will literally never, ever, under any circumstances, use a lvl4 helmet. I'll sell it if I get one in a raid and buy a lvl3 armor instead. When it comes to headsets, my belief is pick one you like after brief experimenting and stick with it. Use it all the time, don't use it only if you're really running a bare-bones raid. As in just a pistol. If you spend the money for a Mosin, also get your headset. Under no circumstances should you use different headsets. The reason is that you want to get used to the way everything sounds. If you use a different one, everything sounds different and you can't actually discern things as easily anymore. I use ComTacs, only ComTacs and never anything but ComTacs. I'm used to how it sounds and when I use anything else, I understand what I hear much less.
It's true that helmets are half of the time useless, but the protection is mostly against low caliber ammunition. Helmets are also only a chance to stop bullets from blowing out your brains. People, such as I, are willing to pay for that chance.

@@xSintex If you're paying 70k for an ULACH and on average every 10th helmet saves you from getting headshot, you need to run over 700k worth of gear on average for it to be profitable for you to wear it, that's all I'm saying. And no, looks absolutely are a valid reason. Who cares if I don't see myself. If you find my corpse, ideally I want you to go "damn, this guy looks cool". As for my survival rate, yeah, it's not very high. But that's not because of my choice of gear. I suck at aiming, PvP tactics and being patient. But my gear choices are close to perfect because I spend way more time working on them than I really should.
No love for the armored rig from LL2 Ragman? Doesn't fit your playstyle maybe, but 53k for a level 3 armor and rig in one is pretty good, get it back often on insurance
I touched on it very slightly saying I don't overly like the lower tier armoured rigs. Mostly because you can't just drop the rig for another rig and keep armor or same with finding a sweet armor
@@Pestily yeah I see what you mean, but usually in a situation where you're gonna find a good armor vest (off a body) you're gonna find a rig as well. They've got good weight etc too. Obviously to each their own but I found em really useful when my account was new, if I found armor + rig I just dumped it, always get em back on insurance Good for cheap marksman setups as they're light and you don't need to carry much as a sniper. i run the 6b13 ceramic with my fal setups. the lower armor value is a little annoying but the repair value is irrelevant. They are almost always single use items for me since i will either die or upgrade to redut/gen4 during the run
Veritas has a really in depth look at the Comtacs. There isn't any clear winner in any of them, but the Sordins do have a bit of a longer pickup than any of the others.

That means Killa is dedicated to the 117 reg, most likely it's his native region and this sign is an act of represent. So the chain "Killa - Ned - Тыв - 117 регион (Тыва/Tyva) - Killa armour sign - Killa native land" got me MAXIMUM KEK LEVEL, and I would like to share it with you. To sum up: this is prolly the weirdest and ill minded notification anybody could make but it's a little bit funny how it turns both ways and they met up)
The only reason I hate the sordin's is in labs you hear nothing but machines in certain locations, where the other hearing pieces do not have that issue.
@@cykablyat8862 buy a cheap bag and vest and go for hidden stashes on customs (maps online or video guides) through good stuff in the safe container, try to get out with the rest. You can make like 1mil in 3 hrs or so. just need to know what to look for and get lucky. hoses(200k) saline(70k or so) pack of nails(100k) car battery (150k). any item that looks gold. can of squash 30k or so. I have no gear fear this wipe because i know i can make it back easily on the flea market

I don't even bother with PACA anymore. I am currently running Level 3 armor and above, mostly finding them off of SCAVs or from running as a Scav that has it myself. I do use the 1968 helmet (the green one he recommends in this video) because it has a decent chance of ricochet, and also because it's unbelievably cheap. PACA you may as well be wearing paper if you come up against anything above a Scav with shitty equipment. Most player Scavs who have been doing some looting and especially PMCs will shred you then let you get it back in insurance because it's so garbage. I use Kirasa armor, or the Zhuk-3, or the 3M armor (once I got that early Skier quest completed anyways). I find that it's saved me more often than not. In a situation I would have been mowed apart by a PMC I didn't even see in the bushes, or at the very least am forced to run with like two or three broken limbs, a few times just last night I was able to run away with zero broken bones and was able to reposition myself, heal up, and either escape and continue my cache path later OR try to find him and end the fight on my terms instead. Either way, having good armor does help even if it just means you enjoy having a higher chance of survival with a less likelihood of losing body parts in the process. I will probably graduate to L4 armor only when I can more regularly afford it.
One thing you forgot, the tactec armor is lvl 4 but it only protects the thorax. I personally love the zhuk, it is expensive and repair is bad, but you can trade it for 2 vases (240k) and sell the rrpaired one for like 280k. Be aware tho, 99% of the times, the first raider that sees you gets both your arms
Two vases used to cost 140k. It's end of season and everybody is on Labs therefore market is unhealthy right now. A lot of items have drastically shot up since last I played.
Because the actual quantitative data is so vague and over complicated that it's hard to tell which is the best. Especially when you take cost/benefit into consideration. If you're looking for hands down the best, it's the slick

you can't put body armor and armored rig at the same time anymore .. tactec is quite good armor (especally that it is cheap, cheap to repair and won't lose much of it's durability) but it has soo small rig space.. btw maybe your opponent was using very good ammo like igolnik or m995 wich can penetrate most of the armors.. you can't do against them much

The Zsh-helmet is terribad as it blocks out too much sound. At least 60% of all encounters are almost entirely dependent on you being able to hear properly.

Ceramic will stop certain armor penetrating rounds, no? They break up the bullet and core by hard impact and catch the fragments with a kevlar vest behind it irl

I finally got over my gear fear to some extent and now I bring in Modestly modded AKs with Bs/BT ammo level 4 armor and scav/berkut backpack.. I’ve been doing good but I want to advance to the sweaty level. I’m level 24 atm with 8mil roubles and about 7 mid range AK loadouts.. I only play solo and I still have gear fear about bringing in a suppressed weapon and gen 4 ... or even a suppressed weapon at that. The more I think about it tho a suppressor for AK is only like 26K what the hell am I worrying about
Level 4 armor at 8 mil is a cheap out , do tasks to level up too it’ll make you more used to the game also what’s the point of not using items for a game. Think about it as everything you get is to be used
I partially disagree with the 6B23-2 (class 4 with 55 points) that armor has saved my ass more times and to me is worth the price for the class 4, especially late in a wipe like we are now. I also like the 6B47 for the extra coverage of the ears. Sure, it's like double the price of the SSH-60, but that cost difference is worth it, that's basically just the price of an extra shotgun I pick up off a scav, or a couple spruts with flashlights, sure I could buy two SSh-60's, but I don't view protection as a linear scale, as in certain situations, there's a very high likelyhood where the SSH60 won't save you, but the 6B47 has a higher likelyhood of actually doing something, this goes for the 6B23-2 as well. at the very least though, basically "some" body armor is almost always better than "no" body armor. Using killa's body armor for me is more effective than selling it unless I'm in dire need of cash. I'm generally seeing killa in about 50% of my raids, and if I'm not grouped up, I sell his helmet and other shit and use his armor. If I'm grouped up, I usually call dibs on his armor unless someone else really needs/wants it, as generally most of the guys don't use it and only sell it. If I take the armor while in a group though, I'll give concessions with other items (ie, usually the shit in Kiba) until they are full up.
People recommend the Armors with built-in Rigs BECAUSE they are inconvenient and a hassle. That's why people don't pick them up and you get them back in insurance. So it depends on how you wanna see it.

what you said about the t3 armoured steel armour and why you dont use the t4 ones instead, you reverse when saying you want tactec over tv110.....the tactec has less durability.

Observertory Still better than Paca. Paca only stops the weakest of rounds. I’d rather have armor that can stop bullets but only 1-2 than one that can’t stop jack.
The top reason I wear 6b43 and Zhuk a lot because basically everyone in the game right now is using either m995, BS or M62, few people are running those 60 pen ammos due to the price, the 50 pen ammos are mainstream right now, so I do think Killa helmet, Vulcan, and L6 armors are worth it because u NEVER get instant kill by an M4 or HK that every top gear guys are using. Especially facing BS rounds it's more effective due to the lower firerate. And also due to that reason, Altyn is pretty bad for this time of the patch. And also, L3 armors are not that effective considering many scavs have 7.62 PS ammos for 30 pen. U can get easily destoryed by a Vepr 136 or a AK74(u) looted from a box.
BTW, they need to change the ammo type for scavs' Vepr hunter. It makes non-sense that a ammo need you to complete a hell of tasks can easily obtained by a streetwalker in tarkov.
When facing a player / scav armed with a Vepr Hunter (M61 ammo) you might as well toss that 6b43 in the bushes. Level 6 won't even stop a single hit and you move almost twice as fast without armor ;-)
Aguyunknown I don’t know if you know this but the thorax is your upper chest. Probably explains why you are getting one shot if you aren’t wearing armor
Nessevi Bots also dont aim for the head so armor is extremely useful. Without armor, there’s a good chance you’re gonna get dusted by bots. They really like to black out your arms.
Also, learn the AI. A big tip i have people is break line of sight a lot. When you do, they go into "Search mode" and lose you. So that when they see you again they don't shoot right away. They wait to do a verbal call out first giving you that extra half second to shoot for free. Then you just repeat this process and easy kills. Also, stun grenades work really really well on all AI. If you plan to engage raiders i would bring a few.
It mostly depends on the purpose. For Labs or situations when I need hearing, I always use headphones, so the cheapest solution with faceshield is the LZsh, for 54k roubles + 341$ for the faceshield. If you don't care about hearing, the Zsh is fine. If you don't care about hearing, money or movement speed, Altyn all day everyday.
@nikola poyukov Meh, I prefer to run light. Gen4 HMK, Fast MT, Berkut. 12% total move speed penalty, makes me able to strafe and take pictures nicely. Also keeps my hearing intact
@@iamsadlmao Disagree, the trade for it makes is fairly useful and easy to obtain. Single coffee and gold chain makes it stupid cheap for 75 armor points at level 4. with armor point max that high, can usually get 2-3 runs out of it before tossing.
Frankly the armors i'd want to wear doesnt exist in the game. Class 3 and 4 with arm protection. Something i can wear that doesnt cost arm and a leg figuratively to protect my arms from scavs literally. Class 4 armors also just suck in terms of efficiency. You only gain limited protection from T2 ammo and yet they cost around 80-90k while i can buy gen4 from market for just a little bit more. They also look terrible, i'd use USEC Trooper armor in the meantime but for some reason devs decided there should be an armor that protects thorax only.
my go to is gen4 assault and ulach bec the fkn ulach saved my ass so manny times. It just deflecting everything. eaven m995 and 7n39. and i dont like faceshields anyway.

6B47 Helmet also got a buff of high Ricochet chance.
Has a NVG mount too. Movement penalties way better than the big dome helmet too

ZSh-1-2m is highly recommended for helmet of choice.... 10 raids it kept me alive with +30 hits taken before finally face shield failed.

this video might be dated, but there's an armored rig (6B5) from Ragman LL2 that costs 1k more than the 6b23 with 20 more armor points. killer deal.

And im still getting 1 tapped by an M4 every raid ._.
Its because we're in the extreme end of wipe of the cycle. People farmed quintillion of rubles on lab the market is saturated to fuck everyone is using max armor and amm9
@@heatea5255 Funy enough I have run into much weirder builds recently, I think there are still a lot of people who just started playing during the last sale. I ran into a guy with a frankenstein MPX with some random non AP ammo, and another time a guy with an M4 on Interchange with mags full of m885.
Swarm509 there’s also people like me who don’t do the quests or anything and just goes in a collects whatever I can find and use it in the next raid. I have weird as builds because all my stuffs random.
Well i have gotten the game for months on now......... maybe 5 i think? And every raid i go on i get tapped by Ak or m4.
Except for some raids where i get matched against lv4's that dont even know how to shoot. Lol.
@@glitchedexe also later in wipe, you'll meet alot of hardcore players. Usually after a wipe alot of more "casual" players come back.

@@xSintex Yeah. Only level 6 has the chance to stop M995 and you need an average of 2.3 hits to penetrate Killa face shield.
My absolute favorite armor is the Redut-M because it's the cheapest lvl5 armor and it doesn't mess up my mobility. As for the helmet, I generally don't use one at all. They're just not worth it in general. This patch I tried helmets numerous times but was only saved by it three times as far as I can remember. One of those times it was a hit in the visor while using the LZSh (the small visor that only covers eyes, which basically no one uses) so had it just been the helmet I'd still have died. The price of most helmets would need to be halved for them to potentially be worth the price. The only exception is the steel pot which I wouldn't use even if I was given 18k roubles every time I used it. It's just that ugly. As it is if I'm running something obscenely expensive I'll consider using the LZSh with the small visor but that's as far as I'll go. Unless it's right before the next wipe I will literally never, ever, under any circumstances, use a lvl4 helmet. I'll sell it if I get one in a raid and buy a lvl3 armor instead.
When it comes to headsets, my belief is pick one you like after brief experimenting and stick with it. Use it all the time, don't use it only if you're really running a bare-bones raid. As in just a pistol. If you spend the money for a Mosin, also get your headset. Under no circumstances should you use different headsets.
The reason is that you want to get used to the way everything sounds. If you use a different one, everything sounds different and you can't actually discern things as easily anymore. I use ComTacs, only ComTacs and never anything but ComTacs. I'm used to how it sounds and when I use anything else, I understand what I hear much less.
It's true that helmets are half of the time useless, but the protection is mostly against low caliber ammunition. Helmets are also only a chance to stop bullets from blowing out your brains. People, such as I, are willing to pay for that chance.
To each their own. Im not a poor boi,never have been in tarkov,and id rather pay 70k for ulach and live from 1 out of 20 headshots,than die from 20 out of 20.
The fact that you care about looks in an fps where you dont see yourself speaks volumes about your experience in this game lol. But I guess there's a reason I'm sitting at 71% SR and you're at...whatever you are,I doubt it's over 50% though.

@@xSintex If you're paying 70k for an ULACH and on average every 10th helmet saves you from getting headshot, you need to run over 700k worth of gear on average for it to be profitable for you to wear it, that's all I'm saying.
And no, looks absolutely are a valid reason. Who cares if I don't see myself. If you find my corpse, ideally I want you to go "damn, this guy looks cool".
As for my survival rate, yeah, it's not very high. But that's not because of my choice of gear. I suck at aiming, PvP tactics and being patient. But my gear choices are close to perfect because I spend way more time working on them than I really should.

No love for the armored rig from LL2 Ragman? Doesn't fit your playstyle maybe, but 53k for a level 3 armor and rig in one is pretty good, get it back often on insurance
I touched on it very slightly saying I don't overly like the lower tier armoured rigs. Mostly because you can't just drop the rig for another rig and keep armor or same with finding a sweet armor
@@Pestily yeah I see what you mean, but usually in a situation where you're gonna find a good armor vest (off a body) you're gonna find a rig as well. They've got good weight etc too.
Obviously to each their own but I found em really useful when my account was new, if I found armor + rig I just dumped it, always get em back on insurance
Good for cheap marksman setups as they're light and you don't need to carry much as a sniper.

The 6b47 helmet is the cheapest option for level runs(Once your level 10). Bleach sells for 10k , and 2 required =20k plus ear protection

i run the 6b13 ceramic with my fal setups. the lower armor value is a little annoying but the repair value is irrelevant. They are almost always single use items for me since i will either die or upgrade to redut/gen4 during the run

Veritas has a really in depth look at the Comtacs. There isn't any clear winner in any of them, but the Sordins do have a bit of a longer pickup than any of the others.

Killa armour has a "117 RUS" signature on it's back. 117 RUS means a region code (for example we have such codes for a cars numbers) and 117 code sticks to Tyva Region or Tyva Republic (on russian is: Республика Тыва). That means Killa is dedicated to the 117 reg, most likely it's his native region and this sign is an act of represent. So the chain "Killa - Ned - Тыв - 117 регион (Тыва/Tyva) - Killa armour sign - Killa native land" got me MAXIMUM KEK LEVEL, and I would like to share it with you.
To sum up: this is prolly the weirdest and ill minded notification anybody could make but it's a little bit funny how it turns both ways and they met up)
The only reason I hate the sordin's is in labs you hear nothing but machines in certain locations, where the other hearing pieces do not have that issue.

For the budget runs, why not run the class 4 rigs. Ragman lev 2 sells one that is almodt exactly 1000 roubles more and you get a 12 slot rig as well

@@cykablyat8862 buy a cheap bag and vest and go for hidden stashes on customs (maps online or video guides) through good stuff in the safe container, try to get out with the rest. You can make like 1mil in 3 hrs or so. just need to know what to look for and get lucky. hoses(200k) saline(70k or so) pack of nails(100k) car battery (150k). any item that looks gold. can of squash 30k or so. I have no gear fear this wipe because i know i can make it back easily on the flea market

Either buy 6B5-16 or Gen4. Nothing else matters.
I don't even bother with PACA anymore. I am currently running Level 3 armor and above, mostly finding them off of SCAVs or from running as a Scav that has it myself.
I do use the 1968 helmet (the green one he recommends in this video) because it has a decent chance of ricochet, and also because it's unbelievably cheap.
PACA you may as well be wearing paper if you come up against anything above a Scav with shitty equipment. Most player Scavs who have been doing some looting and especially PMCs will shred you then let you get it back in insurance because it's so garbage.
I use Kirasa armor, or the Zhuk-3, or the 3M armor (once I got that early Skier quest completed anyways).
I find that it's saved me more often than not. In a situation I would have been mowed apart by a PMC I didn't even see in the bushes, or at the very least am forced to run with like two or three broken limbs, a few times just last night I was able to run away with zero broken bones and was able to reposition myself, heal up, and either escape and continue my cache path later OR try to find him and end the fight on my terms instead.
Either way, having good armor does help even if it just means you enjoy having a higher chance of survival with a less likelihood of losing body parts in the process.
I will probably graduate to L4 armor only when I can more regularly afford it.

One thing you forgot, the tactec armor is lvl 4 but it only protects the thorax.
I personally love the zhuk, it is expensive and repair is bad, but you can trade it for 2 vases (240k) and sell the rrpaired one for like 280k. Be aware tho, 99% of the times, the first raider that sees you gets both your arms
Two vases used to cost 140k. It's end of season and everybody is on Labs therefore market is unhealthy right now. A lot of items have drastically shot up since last I played.

you can't put body armor and armored rig at the same time anymore .. tactec is quite good armor (especally that it is cheap, cheap to repair and won't lose much of it's durability) but it has soo small rig space.. btw maybe your opponent was using very good ammo like igolnik or m995 wich can penetrate most of the armors.. you can't do against them much
@@marco002 Thanks for the info mate! Yeah the guy was probably using some top top tier ammo and that's why he mowed me down so fast. Learned my lesson though and getting better at picking the right fights at the right moment.

i usualy take a kiver with a face shield it is cheaper and at the start of the wipe its enough to protect me from pistols and shotguns in factory

The Zsh-helmet is terribad as it blocks out too much sound. At least 60% of all encounters are almost entirely dependent on you being able to hear properly.

I finally got over my gear fear to some extent and now I bring in Modestly modded AKs with Bs/BT ammo level 4 armor and scav/berkut backpack..
I’ve been doing good but I want to advance to the sweaty level. I’m level 24 atm with 8mil roubles and about 7 mid range AK loadouts.. I only play solo and I still have gear fear about bringing in a suppressed weapon and gen 4 ... or even a suppressed weapon at that. The more I think about it tho a suppressor for AK is only like 26K what the hell am I worrying about
Level 4 armor at 8 mil is a cheap out , do tasks to level up too it’ll make you more used to the game also what’s the point of not using items for a game. Think about it as everything you get is to be used

I partially disagree with the 6B23-2 (class 4 with 55 points) that armor has saved my ass more times and to me is worth the price for the class 4, especially late in a wipe like we are now. I also like the 6B47 for the extra coverage of the ears. Sure, it's like double the price of the SSH-60, but that cost difference is worth it, that's basically just the price of an extra shotgun I pick up off a scav, or a couple spruts with flashlights, sure I could buy two SSh-60's, but I don't view protection as a linear scale, as in certain situations, there's a very high likelyhood where the SSH60 won't save you, but the 6B47 has a higher likelyhood of actually doing something, this goes for the 6B23-2 as well. at the very least though, basically "some" body armor is almost always better than "no" body armor.
Using killa's body armor for me is more effective than selling it unless I'm in dire need of cash. I'm generally seeing killa in about 50% of my raids, and if I'm not grouped up, I sell his helmet and other shit and use his armor. If I'm grouped up, I usually call dibs on his armor unless someone else really needs/wants it, as generally most of the guys don't use it and only sell it. If I take the armor while in a group though, I'll give concessions with other items (ie, usually the shit in Kiba) until they are full up.
People recommend the Armors with built-in Rigs BECAUSE they are inconvenient and a hassle. That's why people don't pick them up and you get them back in insurance. So it depends on how you wanna see it.

Level 4 start of wipe other than that only 5 and 6 will stop any half decent round. Dont need 10 mins of ad revenue to tell you this.
what you said about the t3 armoured steel armour and why you dont use the t4 ones instead, you reverse when saying you want tactec over tv110.....the tactec has less durability.

Observertory Still better than Paca. Paca only stops the weakest of rounds. I’d rather have armor that can stop bullets but only 1-2 than one that can’t stop jack.
The top reason I wear 6b43 and Zhuk a lot because basically everyone in the game right now is using either m995, BS or M62, few people are running those 60 pen ammos due to the price, the 50 pen ammos are mainstream right now, so I do think Killa helmet, Vulcan, and L6 armors are worth it because u NEVER get instant kill by an M4 or HK that every top gear guys are using. Especially facing BS rounds it's more effective due to the lower firerate. And also due to that reason, Altyn is pretty bad for this time of the patch. And also, L3 armors are not that effective considering many scavs have 7.62 PS ammos for 30 pen. U can get easily destoryed by a Vepr 136 or a AK74(u) looted from a box.
BTW, they need to change the ammo type for scavs' Vepr hunter. It makes non-sense that a ammo need you to complete a hell of tasks can easily obtained by a streetwalker in tarkov.
When facing a player / scav armed with a Vepr Hunter (M61 ammo) you might as well toss that 6b43 in the bushes. Level 6 won't even stop a single hit and you move almost twice as fast without armor ;-)
The GSSh-01s are no longer really fucking ear numbingly loud. They are back to being the best in the game imo.
Any armor below 4 is completely useless unless your opponent is a scav shooting a buckshot shotgun from a long range.

Aguyunknown I don’t know if you know this but the thorax is your upper chest. Probably explains why you are getting one shot if you aren’t wearing armor
It is literally impossible for any ai to one tap new gen4 in the thorax,don't talk out of your ass.
Nessevi Bots also dont aim for the head so armor is extremely useful. Without armor, there’s a good chance you’re gonna get dusted by bots. They really like to black out your arms.
Also, learn the AI. A big tip i have people is break line of sight a lot. When you do, they go into "Search mode" and lose you. So that when they see you again they don't shoot right away. They wait to do a verbal call out first giving you that extra half second to shoot for free. Then you just repeat this process and easy kills. Also, stun grenades work really really well on all AI. If you plan to engage raiders i would bring a few.

Keep in mind kiver has bad ricochet chance
It mostly depends on the purpose. For Labs or situations when I need hearing, I always use headphones, so the cheapest solution with faceshield is the LZsh, for 54k roubles + 341$ for the faceshield. If you don't care about hearing, the Zsh is fine. If you don't care about hearing, money or movement speed, Altyn all day everyday.

Gzhel is a quest item and is super expensive on the flee market, so people prefer to sell it instead of using it. Also it's pretty rare.

@@iamsadlmao Disagree, the trade for it makes is fairly useful and easy to obtain. Single coffee and gold chain makes it stupid cheap for 75 armor points at level 4. with armor point max that high, can usually get 2-3 runs out of it before tossing.
Redut is my fav 113k from ragman for lvl 5 armor is too nice.
Redut has bad durability and bad repair rate. If you want cheap class 5,buy killa armor. You lose 1 point per repair on it.

Frankly the armors i'd want to wear doesnt exist in the game. Class 3 and 4 with arm protection. Something i can wear that doesnt cost arm and a leg figuratively to protect my arms from scavs literally. Class 4 armors also just suck in terms of efficiency. You only gain limited protection from T2 ammo and yet they cost around 80-90k while i can buy gen4 from market for just a little bit more. They also look terrible, i'd use USEC Trooper armor in the meantime but for some reason devs decided there should be an armor that protects thorax only.
