I have recently gone back to school to pursue a nursing degree - at 45yrs old! Biology is not easy for me but I am so grateful to have found your videos. Your explanations and illustrations are so clear and concise, it helps me so much. Thank you!!! You are amazing!
See? This is why I like academic videos, there’s no hate comments. Just people happy they learned something unlike literally every other type of video on TH-cam. 🤦🏽♂️
thanks Armando, love your work! Have been waiting for a gas exchange video for a while and like you promised, it finally arrived. well worth the wait :)
thank youuu! i love your videos especially how everything's drawn as you explain. Being a visual learner this helps x10 more than my prof's typed notes that only give me headache trying to figure out what he is explaining about physiology in words.
@@sameerpasha1986 Shut up idiot if you are talking about punctuation and grammar look at yourself. You didn't start your sentence with a capital letter and your ellipses have only two dots. Don't be a hypocrite and get a life.*mic drop*
I have the lung disease and wanting to learn more about it. You have a great gift. I believe God has a hand in that. I pray there are more doctors like you. In the USA we are closing hospitals. Has a lot to do with COVID shut downs. That was a horrid thing done to us. Never again. So many nurses had to leave because they wouldn’t take the shot.
Thanx Armando ! Honestly that's the first time subscribing a channel on youtube without any regret ! You make things seems clear , I really appreciate that :))
point of correction from the last sentence of the video... Oxygen gas saturation level can never be 100 since 2% of the oxygen is dissolve in the plasma. so the highest a human can get even with PO2 of 104mmhg ( right after gas exchange) is 98%... However the portable pulse ox probe can go upto 100% because its 2% higher than the arterial O2 Sat. thanks
Thanks Armando I ususally never leave youtube comments, so this is a first but I just wanted to say I LOVE your videos they are helping me pass my A&P class! So easy to understand. A MILLION thanks again.
Thank you for explaining the connection between this pathophysiology and acid-base buffering/pH. Most sources I’ve found oversimplify the process to state that too much C02 causes acidosis, when in reality, I have deduced that although C02 is a weak “Lewis Acid,” it is the conversion to bicarbonate and subsequent H ions that is the actual mechanism of acidosis/reduced pH. If I am incorrect, someone feel free to clarify.
Correct breathing will improve the oxygenation of blood and improve circulation. The breath can also be utilised to combat stress and improve mental wellness. This is a valuable guide to improving both physical and mental wellness. The Full Breath by James Francis.
thank you sooooo much.. you're soooo good at whatyou do this is the only way i really learn best. as i am very audio visual learner. i have been following your vids for sometime now thank you!
Very intelligent, and a lot of study to explain How the system works. I did understand and have watched all your videos. Thank You for helping me, I got an A on my last test without hardly reading. Just watching. LOL
Great work pal I have a quick question, how right is this line "common misconception that breathing in a larger volume of air increases the oxygenation of the blood. It is physiologically impossible to increase the oxygen saturation of the blood in this way, because the blood is almost always already fully saturated. It would be like pouring more water into a glass that is already filled"
🧠 TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE FROM THIS LECTURE! ✅

Dirock _15 super lecture
actually academic videos can have hate comments, just look for history or geography academic videos
And you’re literally here spewing hate. Nice
Dirock _15 I hate that I have an exam in the morning
Cause medicine and science are all about facts. Everything else is subjective.
If I pass my Bio exam, it will be all because of your videos. Seriously, I cannot thank you enough. A hundred times more understandable than my notes.
