I like his attitude. After he makes a block shot, de does not celebrate but quickly makes his next move. That means his defense is more likely to be the starting point of the fast break of the pacers. Impressive.
He got snubbed out of a all defensive team in 2018-19, I was lowkey pissed out about that, maybe I'm tripping but I feel like if Utah had him instead of Gobert, they would be winning more playoff series, I'm taking him over Gobert defensively, and this is not saying that Gobert isn't good in the playoffs.
In terms of just shot-blocking, I think Jarrett Allen is the best. But in terms of defensive IQ and impact, Gobert, Draymond, Davis 'n Giannis been the best really
@@gurjassinghbatra5758 I wish there was a stat that help distinguish how good a shot blocker someone was? 🤔 hmm ooo there is it’s called blocks per game and Allen couldn’t hold whitesides jock
@@Bigben-1989 What I'm trying to say is, that blocks per game aren't actually a good measure of their defensive impact. BPG depends a lot on how many opportunities a player gets to block shots. Watching games, I have observed that expert slashers like Harden, Lillard etc avoid taking layups in the paint when players like Gobert and Davis are present. Turner doesn't demand that kinda respect yet (although he would in the near future), so slashers still try finishing against him and get blocked duly. That doesn't mean he's a better defender than any of the other players mentioned above.
@Jason S that's true, he isn't as versatile as any of those you mentioned. Although he can't guard guards 1-on-1, he does indirectly prevent them from coming to the paint, because he changes their mentality. It becomes easier for the wing defenders of the team because they know that even if the guard drives in, they got Gobert defending the paint.
fuck no lmaoooo, i watched ben wallace from like 01 to 07, turner a good shot blocker, but hes no 4x dpoy big ben wallace. Big ben was out there giving big diesel a hard time. Put a prime shaq on turner and its, as shaq would say ''barbeque chicken'' lmao. Turner is very solid, underrated even, but no Ben wallace.
There is no one near Ben Wallace in todays league and probably never will be anymore. That man put his life on the defensive end of the floor, he was star "just" becasue of defense and rebounds. That man was giving hard time pgs and sgs on perimeter and i am not talking about his impact in the paint at 6 9. That man was one of a kind material.
He tracks the ball in the air too. He doesn't just stand in the way and blocks it, he moves his body around the scorer. Poetic blocker
That's how it's supposed to be so beautiful when he blocks it
His 21‘ 2K Card got a lower Block Rating than Goga Bitadze‘s. That’s how underrated he is.
Definitely not saying 2k computes stats well, but Goga's per-36 block numbers (albeit on very limited minutes) is 2.8, and Turner's per-36 was 2.6
@@raf_cdn you’re forgetting a key component to those stats though.. minutes.
Ik listen to this man he is speaking facts
Myles Turner is very underrated but he's a great shot blocker
Also a good 3 pt shooter
@@patrickmatthews8191 yep

Amazing compilation Myles doesn’t even average 30 mins this season and gets 4 blks a game 🐐
I love how hype the pacers commentators when turner gets a block
They’ve been big on Turner since the Pacers drafted him. He just has to be tough and smarter on offense and he’s set.
The fact that he never made a defensive team is a crime💯
The problems with playing for a small market team, and not being known much in the media.
Hes just not good enough. His good years he got davis, adebayo, Embiid and gobert ahead of him at the C spot.

Agreed
This dude is underrated
Myles has such a high potential on the offensive side too. Idk why he just plays like a stretch 5 when he has incredible athleticism
Because the fit with sabonis would be weird if they both were in the paint. I think he should use his athleticism more tho
He genuinely could win dpoy
Should*
He got robbed
He always got robbed
Finally getting some recognition... pacers players barely get any and he’s performing at a high level this season
This is elite defense....something rare in today's NBA
I voted for him to be an allstar this season (2021)! what an inspiration! my favorite :) he and lillard
He is a beast on board.
Myles Turner Still Remains The Best Shot Blocker In The NBA
15 minutes of "smothered chicken" !!
DPOY
I saw that first block in person. Wild.
His blocks are a thing of beauty
I personally feel like he a better shot blocker (or at least dunk blocker) than giannis. Its not often you see this man get dunked on
Bruh he is a monster in a while
Hopefully he keeps this up and wins DPOY.
Bro him and Gobert are the front runners for dpoy right now at this moment
No Davis and Gobert are Turner is 3rd imo. Still having a great defensive season so far
No Ben Simmons or Joel embiid consideration? Cuz idk if Rudy’s been that great imo (in comparison to his standards)
@@RJizzle2000 embodied lmao
@@RJizzle2000 yeah I think embiid or Simmons might win it
@@dolu2668 are you good?
Most underrated player in the league💯💯💯
@Itachi Uchiha no yooooooouuuu
Myles Turner is actually leading the league in blocks this season
1:20 block by the rim...
Still missed
Still I block tho?
I just love the announcer
That's Quinn 'Smothered Chicken' Buckner and Chris 'Kinetico' Denari for you
Man that Indiana crowd is hard to please! Let's get back at it again this year big man Myles Turner!
NBA is awesome to Watch
Brooklyn gonna need this type of dude
Once you know what failure feels like, determination chases success.
UNDERRRATED
This dude could stop the sun from rising. My word!
"Defense is overrated"

most blocks in the nba atm best defender for this season
GIVE THIS DUDE THE DPOY💯💯
Lakers need Myles Turner
This man will be part of the brooklyn nets next season. Mark my words
top 5 defenders in the nba right now:
1. Myles Turner
2. Giannis
3. Gobert
4. Jrue Holiday
5. Andrew Wiggins
Ben simmons nd kawhi over wiggens

Myles Turner is good Defense NBA player
Damn showing love to Myles hope he dont get traded for harden
Smothered chicken yeeaaaah. Awesome commentator

Hornets has to asap trade for Myles Turner if they have playoff aspiration, this will do good for the backcourt
that lebron block is nasty
Why didn't he never gets nominated for DPOY😭
Good game
man celtics fumbled the bag big time
So yeah I am watching 15 mins of blocking
Next video Chris Boucher
fantastic
The lakers would be crazy if they don't get this dude. We need more big players.
Great fit alongside LeBron. They should have tried to get him
I came for Myles Turner, stayed for the anouncer
You could make a compilation of just this season he already has 45 blocks
Really fit for the gsw traded by wiseman.
It’s that yoga
He is Dwight Howard 2.0
Add him the Warriors & we win the next 2
After getting Westbrook, Lakers need to get him and Hield badly, it's crucial
Bring him to Dallas home
Wait Myles Turner an underrated defender??? I knew in his rookie year when he blocked lebron he would be a good defender
Easily best shot blocker in the league for a couple of years now
Lol whiteside is clearly better in that time and even gobert.. check the #s boss they don’t lie

If the only meta shots are a layup or a three, you need shot blockers.
Hope join to lakers
his best client is Drummond
Beal didn't get blocked by Turner. He got blocked by rim.
ok hater fuck you
His good adittional from lakers get now
Spurs need to trade for you
Wait so u can put ur off hand on the offensive players chest and hip and its not considered a foul?

Nba Champions Los Angeles Lakers
Myles destroyed Justin in these lol

Way better player than sabonis
I hope if turner comes to Toronto he can block Embiid

Lebrin

Him on portland is a match made in Heaven...nurkic for turner
so who's fault is it
Isn't he fouling the guy with his left arm in the beginning?
So this is the NBA's fault?
Theri jumping,no
How tf do you have 801 blocks in 1 season... lol
