Misa is probably the hawks #1 target. The top pick is not locked down by anyone, so in that spot Chicago just takes their guy, which is the two way goal scoring center who can play either with or behind Bedard.
honestly 1st overall is wipe open. schaefer, hagens, misa, and martone are all good picks at the spot. i also could see a team trading to get ravensbergen, though pyotr andreyanov isn't far behind
Carter bear? He’s so good bro, he’s going to top 15 for sure and if he doesn’t he’ll be like a Debrinkat, Caufield and point, maybe not as God as point but he’ll be a steal
I think your reasoning for Habs taking Cameron Schmidt is why they wouldn't take him. The team is trying to add bigger guys around Caufield and Hutson so that when it comes playoff time they'll have a good balance. If the draft goes the way you have it, I'd have the Habs taking Carter Bear who is a gritty forward in the mold of prime Andrew Shaw.
I really don't see why Frondell is so well liked. Eklund is a better skater and appears higher effort to me. Maybe injuries are the reason but very unimpressed with watching Frondell.
I agree with the Habs picking Cameron Schmidt, not only is small, but he's also playing on the same Jr. team as Brenden Gallagher did Vancouver Giants. Pretty cool right?
With the subpar performance from the Canucks this season, looking like we'll pick somewhere in the mid-range this year. Cool to hear who might be available.
sleeves would love Schaefer, i dont think sharks take anyone but Schaefer with celebrini, eklund and smith already up front Eklund looked amazing at the WJC, the broadcast loved his play
I like Radim Mrtka too, but Detroit already has Seider & ASP on the right side for the future. Carter Bear gritty LW with top 6 potential - I would be surprised if he was available and Yzerman didn't select him.
I think top 4 is team dependent for this draft. I could see the sharks taking Schafer 1st but the hawks/ducks taking martone or hagens 1st. The draft isnt like the last couple years
After the WJ I’d say hagens would be #1. Hawks actually have a decently deep d prospect pool, they need offence.. hagens is a winger who can play with bedard which they need desperately. If the sharks get one then I feel like they’ll take Schaefer cause that’s what they need. Schaefer is a stud, unfortunately he couldn’t showcase the rest of the tournament.. but will see how it all plays out !
Pretty good mock but if Schaefer doesn't go 1 I'll be surprised if he doesn't go in the top 2 I'll really question the GMs selecting in the top 2 Schaefer is almost a full year younger than Hagens and definitely had the biggest impact at the WJC of all the prospects as Hagens really didn't do anything against any of the good teams and was a Germany, Latvia, Switzerland pts merchant which means nothing to scouts as anyone on the top teams can put up pts against those teams. Anaheim definitely seems most likely to pick Martone seems like a Verbeek player so it's definitely possible would be a mistake I think but definitely a toss up between who Chicago would rather Schaefer or Hagens, whoever drafting at 3 would love Schaefer I'm sure. Also can't see Desnoyers going that high seems like teams/scouts don't put a lot of stock into QMJHL stats compared to the other CHL leagues
Blues don't need anymore wingers. Mrtka is the player I have my eye on, if he's available. Otherwise it's gonna be BPA and that definitely isn't Spence.
If the Blackhawks draft Hagens (5'10.5") they will have three 5'10" or under forwards in their top 6 (Bedard 5' 9 .75"/ Nazar 5' 10") That ain't happening. That would be so stupid.
@@TacTixHDBC very few Stanley Cup champions in the last 25 years have had 3 5'10" forwards in their top 6. You need both skill and size (in most players). Can you name ONE Stanley Cup champion in the last 25 years that had 3 5'10" forwards in its top 6? Not 5'11", 5'10".
My mock draft (same order): 1. Hawks- Martone. I like Schaefer better but I love the potential of Vlasic and Korchinski as LD. The Hawks need that big physical winger to play with Bedard. I also like the potential of Oliver Moore, who plays a similar style to Hagens. 2. Ducks- Schaefer. Schaefer in my opinion is the best player in the draft, which is the route I have the Ducks going. They really don't have a clear positional need, they are stacked with younger talent. 3. Sharks- Misa. Hagens still isn't taken, and thats because they have Celebrini and Smith as the 1-2 punch down the middle. Misa is also a center, but he can play the wing. 4. Predators- Hagens. The Predators will be the team that drafts Hagens. I feel like since GMs seem to value size a lot, Hagens will fall. Also the teams above are drafting based on positional need is another reason. The Preds instantly get their future 1C. Imagine if Surin also develops well, how good would a 1-2 punch of Misa and Surin down the middle would be? 5. Sabres- McQueen. Another team that will go best player available. Simple as that, they are loaded with young talent. 6. Kraken- Smith. First reach of the draft. The last thing the Kraken need are centers. They really need that future #1D and Smith the best defender available in my opinion. 7. Islanders- Eklund. I almost had Desnoyers, but Eklund could be a solid playmaker for Eiserman. Also has shown flashes of solid defensive play, just like his brother. 8. Penguins- Desnoyers. The Penguins need a solid all-around center. I personally think Desnoyers is better than Frondell. Desnoyers has a mix of two-way smarts and skill. 9. Flyers- Spence. Hensler isn't a bad pick, but he's too inconsistent, something that Torts doesn't like. Spence is a guy with great size and a solid two-way game. 10. Utah- Hensler. Utah will be the team to draft Hensler. His offense is actually really good, he's just playing in a really bad system in Winconsin. On any other team Hensler would be better. Solid defensively as well, more of a two-way defender. Inconsistent at times, but fits Utah's needs very well. Hope you like this. Good analysis and take.
Frondell wasn't at the WJC Eklund was no chance Frondell goes above Eklund once the rankings are updated most scouts will have Eklund 4-5 and Frondell 7-10 maybe lower. Eklund is debated to be better than Martone way better than Frondell this season he's debated to be in the top 4 probably he goes 5 as he's in a tier of his own plays a hard style despite his size can't see him going outside the top 5 if he drops to 8 every team should be trading up to try and get him. He was so good at the WJC which Frondell wasn't selected for
Ya that's my mistake I got confused with the U20 international which is different than U20 world juniors. Honestly though Misa wasn't there for Team Canada and I personally think he's just as good as Martone
@TacTixHD that's true I don't disagree with Misa vs Martone but Frondell has had a rough season and a couple injuries and it's an open draft so anything is possible but scouts definitely seem to like Eklund a lot recently and most think Eklund is closer to that top 4 group than the open part of the draft after
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Who do you think goes 1st overall this year?? 🤔
Schaefer
Eklund is going top 5 unless it the krakens they need a defender
Schaefer
Misa is probably the hawks #1 target. The top pick is not locked down by anyone, so in that spot Chicago just takes their guy, which is the two way goal scoring center who can play either with or behind Bedard.

Stick on the ice really was GM of the Sharks this year
He always finds a way to be third
if the sharks get schaefer theyre so stacked. Eklund-Celebrini-Smith Dickinson-Shaefer would be a crazy 1st line
Dickinson and Schaefer both play LD.
@@jfkst1could still make them a pairing
@@TheOtherLeafFanHAWKTUAH
Probably not wise. Very few dmen are actually good on their offhand.
@@jfkst1Dickinson as your 2nd pair LD is definitely the play.
@@jfkst1 dickinson has played RD before
I love seeing tactix talk real life more than NHL games sometimes, these are great!
Thanks so much!
Carter bear? He’s so good bro, he’s going to top 15 for sure and if he doesn’t he’ll be like a Debrinkat, Caufield and point, maybe not as God as point but he’ll be a steal
Ryabkin is already in the US

If the draft goes the way you have it, I'd have the Habs taking Carter Bear who is a gritty forward in the mold of prime Andrew Shaw.
Ya I agree you need size otherwise you'll be easy to beat in the playoffs the Habs already have their skill
Eklund has outproduced frondell at every level this season, I know frondell had dealt with injuries but it isn’t crazy to say Eklund>frondell
Agreed I was just looking at there numbers before the world juniors and I thought to myself like is was obvious eklund was better
I really don't see why Frondell is so well liked. Eklund is a better skater and appears higher effort to me. Maybe injuries are the reason but very unimpressed with watching Frondell.
Yup and Eklund plays such a tenacious game no chance he doesn't go top 5 the way things are stacking up rn
To me, Martone just seems like a younger version of Matt Knies, they lookalike, sound alike, both can score, both can break into ozone
Yea but Martone is going be way better
@@LoganSaunders-n8cNo Knies is very underrated (as a B’s fan)
Except martone has the potential to be an all star winger
Knies is around average mobility. Martone will be below average.

Ya I agree I was thinking right now RD is weak behind Seider but with ASP coming might not need. Also ASP maybe could play left side not sure
Yzerman will go with another high floor player so Spence, Bear, Frondell.
Flyers need a center tho
Schaefer way better than Hagens
I think top 4 is team dependent for this draft. I could see the sharks taking Schafer 1st but the hawks/ducks taking martone or hagens 1st. The draft isnt like the last couple years
Ryabkin is actually coming back over to the USHL this season which might boost his value
I would take Eklund over Frondell. I agree with that take completely by the EU ranking
A lot of people feel similar to you I think!
Schafer goes number 1 !! Not even debatable!! If Chicago gets the pick its Schaefer!! They will sign a player to go with Bedard 💯
Jake O'Brien and Filip Ekburg are 2 players that stand out to me in end of the first-start of second round players.
Jake O’Brien will most likely be a lottery pick
@houseleaguestud8276 I hope so, ge has been Great this year in the O. Haven't seen scout rank him that high but he should be.
I want martone on the sharks Im picking him all day worry about D later
Hagens is absolutely NOT a consensus #1 homie. Schaefer is a lot of people's best player of the draft, especially draft experts lately
I was saying he was the consensus #1 until recently
Chicago needs a #2 forward for Bedard. Like Rantanen, Draisaitl, Malkin, Marner, etc
Summary being is a guess you’re right depending on who gets #1.
@ they need a bigger forward, 100% would take Martone. 2nd option would be misa

Yeah right Frondell top 5
Don’t be surprised if the Canadiens trade up into the top 10 with their 2 first rounders this year

I would be very happy if the draft went this way. I like Eklund and think Hensler is way overrated.
There's not a consensus #1 this year. It's Porter Martone or Hagens
@SuperMCModder I was saying he was consensus #1 all last year and start of this year
Same guy that doesn't have the caps as a cup contender btw
I think mtl is gonna pick carter bear + if he slides prob logan hensler with the flames pick
But the east is a shitshow that i could even see a team in the run for the wild card spot getting the lottery luck lmao
Clowned Craig Button every pick lmao
LMFAO unintentionally I swear
Button always has odd rankings at mid season and then goes rather consensus rankings as the draft gets closer.
Lets hope lou lamoriello is not the one making the pick for the isles lol
