Helo Hello How the hell can you have a legitimately horrific setting when your character is literally stronger than all of your enemies? The horror setting was cool in DMC1 but I liked the depiction of Hell in DMC3 more. It was a parody of heaven, with angelic vocals that sound a bit sinister, everything being pristine white and clean, and the pathways, statues and architecture all broken. Essentially making Hell a broken Heaven. That, in my opinion, was the most demonic depiction of Hell I’ve seen. DMC1 had it a little bit with Mundus throne room, but that’s the only place He’ll looks like that in DMC1.
Matteo Leonardi I can only really speak for myself on this. But when I was a kid and played this for the first time, I was initially scared of the marionettes. That is, until I felt how strong Dante was. Any fear I felt had completely disappeared by the time I had gotten to Phantom, largely because Dante was taking the piss out of this giant spider/scorpion thing (I was terrified of spiders). And also because by this point Dante has tanked 2 massive stabs to the chest with no damage done to him (Trish and Alastor). After this, it just felt like I was running through Resident Evil 1, but instead of being a scared small town cop, I was some cocky immortal demigod. So instead of being scared of enemies around the corner like I would be in Resident Evil, I charged at them with no fear. And that was pretty much entirely because Dante was such a badass.
Looking back, you can tell they really took a lot of inspiration from this boss when it came time to design DMC3. The core of his personality is all there. Showing off to Dante, taking him head on, giving him a "fair chance", and taunting after every combo

This is vital during DMD mode. Additionally, if you *really* want to be naughty, you can switch to Ifrit (replays allow you to keep the weapons you've acquired). When weirdos try and pretend this guy isn't Virgil.... the he reacts to the amulet... ad every element of the story makes it obvious that he's Virgil....
I have a very few questions that we still didn't get an answer for regarding DMC and Dante specifically: 1) Is Dante immortal? (or in better words, does he have a very long lifespan like his father did?) 2) Does Dante POOPS like us miserable humans? (I hope NOT). 3) It's mentioned in DMC1 that he lives and operates his business somewhere in the U.S, so is there any possibility that his mother is an American? 4) Dante doesn't die despite how fatal any injury is, but will it be the same if he was slashed through his head or split in half, will he be affected and die? (I would like to see how far his immunity to injuries goes).
Haruna Valentine Poops? For the fourth, Vergil was cut in half, and he was able to regenerate from that. So I'd say Dante can survive being cut in half.
1) No, Dante isn't imortal. Kamiya stated that if his heart is removed from his body he can die. 2) I think so... 3) Just mentioned in the Western manuals, in the japanese one that's not stated. On the other hand due his name, the architecture of the cities and other kind of things I would say that it's hevaily implied that Dante is European (maybe Italian or Spanish) 4) I don't know.
considering how nelo Angelos armor was a control catalyst mundus made to control Vergil and the armor was the only thing left after nelos final fight I'm fairly certain that Vergil is alive. I mean his powers are more pronounced than Dantes and Dantes healing factor allows Dante to shrug off getting a bullet through the brain or bring impaled through the spinal column and multiple vital organs as if nothing happened I think it's safe to say Vergil is out and about its just a question of where he has been and what he was doing. side note how funny would it be if that phone call at the end of dmc4/dmc4se was Vergil on the other line?
We so need a Remake of DMC 1. Expand a bit more on what Vergil went through under Mundus's control, from the moment he lost the fight against him in DMC3, to this game's ending.
My only complaint is we don't Truly know if Vergil dead he disappeared in the blue flames that's it he could of teleported or went back to hell we don't know

Thank you for this video! I know it's not technically a guide, but I think it'll help me greatly with this fight :D For anyone else using this as a guide, the strategy is basically: have patience, dodge a lot, and use that one attack where Dante stabs a whole bunch of times in a row (stab, stab, one second delay, spam attack button)

When weirdos try and pretend this guy isn't Virgil.... the he reacts to the amulet... ad every element of the story makes it obvious that he's Virgil....
Such weirdos indeed
literally says it in game in the bestiary
This is a great video and an awesome game, too! I have beaten this game once and it was excellent!
I have a very few questions that we still didn't get an answer for regarding DMC and Dante specifically:
1) Is Dante immortal? (or in better words, does he have a very long lifespan like his father did?)
2) Does Dante POOPS like us miserable humans?
On the other hand due his name, the architecture of the cities and other kind of things I would say that it's hevaily implied that Dante is European (maybe Italian or Spanish)
4) I don't know.
Vergil This did not really answer his questions tbh. No offense.
This dmc has by far the best sound track
considering how nelo Angelos armor was a control catalyst mundus made to control Vergil and the armor was the only thing left after nelos final fight I'm fairly certain that Vergil is alive.
Vergil calling like that out of nowhere is so like him that it hurts.
2:16 - 666 red orbs
We so need a Remake of DMC 1. Expand a bit more on what Vergil went through under Mundus's control, from the moment he lost the fight against him in DMC3, to this game's ending.
Project X Zone 2 Vergil's back, facing himself in the future, with his brother love it.
With resident evil 2 and 3 having a remake maybe even 4 they should do a remake on Devil may cry 1,2 and 3 because they were masterpieces
This is probably the best battle in the entire series.
Vergil 2 from DMC3 was better in my opinion
cavaliere angelo is better but this one is still pretty good
666 red orbs...
That cute little mirror foreshadowing tho.
I want another RE1 dmc game 😢
Vergil Is dead Now Only exists Nelo Angelo but inside of him Is still the Vergil's soul
um, what.
+Justin Ladd he's saying even though Vergil dead his soul is still somewhere inside Nelo Angelo
My only complaint is we don't Truly know if Vergil dead he disappeared in the blue flames that's it he could of teleported or went back to hell we don't know
Devil May Cry 5 confirmed WITH NERO AND DANTE GOING TO THE HELL TO FIND VERGIL
+TheNeroGamer where... link
This blew my mind when I first ever played this
The old days was the best
No matter the form.
Vergil is my favorite 😁
Me too 😍
So what do you guys think of DMC5 after it's been out for most of 2019.
Daniel Ramsey it’s amazing Vergil surprised me
Best Devil May Cry game
1:38 - 1:47
Imagine if they made MVC4 and Nero Angelo is the final boss of the arcade mode.
And this is his intro
Edit: ever since getting a BBTAG Mugen I have been waiting for Vergil to come out so this theme will be more epic to face as the final boss in arcade mode.
At the beginning of the video the melody sounds pretty good
Great fight. I love how you have 666 red orbs.
Don't panic guys but I think Nero Angelo is Vergil
And Batman is Bruce Wayne
Great .I'm having a panic attack
Angelo was my favorite boss character to battle while I played Devil May Cry 1. I enjoyed to use Dante’s sword Alastor against Angelo’s sword.
I love the design of mallet island..and the castle .. it's medieval I know.. and fortuna castle too..
The dmc 1 is actually the part 3 according to the story
How so I thought 2 was technically the 3 while 1 was the 2
From what I remember dmc 3 comes before 1, but there's no game between those 2, dmc 2, 4 and 5 all happen after 1
666 orbs, eh ? :)
Niccccce :)
Thank you for this video! I know it's not technically a guide, but I think it'll help me greatly with this fight :D
For anyone else using this as a guide, the strategy is basically: have patience, dodge a lot, and use that one attack where Dante stabs a whole bunch of times in a row (stab, stab, one second delay, spam attack button)
Anyone remember the demo? The demo ends right when Nero is about to land. i remember being 10 and losing my mind, lol.
It's Nelo Angelo. Capcom stayed with it, it's official, it's in all the reference guides, it's even in DMC4's install pages that walk your through the previous games. Just like how they spell Vergil with an e instead of an i.
They need to make a dmc that has the DANTE I KNOW AND LOVE
Did you watch the trailer for Devil May Cry 5?
And this is where Nero's name was Found
這個是 維哥(vergil 官方不承認的版本⋯⋯
初登場 西裝頭造型 還會做出挑釁動作
很有個性~ 老實說 個人覺得還不錯👌
