Welcome to the FilmVerse project - The initial idea was quite straightforward: FilmVerse, a film emulation plugin designed to mimic the finest characteristics of Kodak’s Vision3 series of film stocks-one of Hollywood’s most commonly used film stocks. But we knew we weren’t here to develop another film plugin in a sea of film looks. Everyone wants to mimic film.
In our pursuit to mimic film as closely as possible, we developed a concrete pipeline that allows for layering different aspects of modern creative look building for feature films. Our goal for this pipeline was to enable non-destructive adjustments, providing the ability to craft complex and nuanced looks-all while challenging the native controls and underlying mathematics of Davinci Resolve.
