"Can't WASTE the DAY when the NIGHT BRINGS a HEARSE." I remember the very first time Zach stabbed that line through my impressionable eardrums 26 years ago. And still, one thousand times later, it never goes stale, it's never outdated, never outta style, it cuts through razor sharp and demands you not waste a second. It still gives me the same sense of urgency in 2022, as I got at 12 years old, in 1996.

My 1st concert live was RATM and Pantera, changed my life! The energy was off the charts!

I have a cassette when I was as young as I can remember from my dad, it has a bunch of rage against the machine tracks on both sides and its some of my earliest memories, I still get pumped listening to any of their albums today.
I cant think of a single time RATM has played a major chord except for in this song, and its honestly the best thing ive ever heard. That intro is just so badass.
