I remember playing this a lot back when i was a kid. Playing with a friend two player mode was always fun especially with different terrains stages to choose from and i believe you can even pick stages that had random rocks that you can fall over very easily, ice stage etc. From what i can remember stage 11 i believe was vs Argentina and those guys were really fast, way too fast when comparing to the rest of the stages and probably the hardest to manage well at least in my case. Final Brazil had more power but man that Argentina speed. I believe i was spamming special strikes just because i was too scared they will take my ball and manage to easy outspeed my entire team any second after that. Always love the effects with the special strikes and the humor was priceless. Also that background soundtrack so much memories. Watching this after not playing it for over 17 years. Thank you for making this video.

hahaha YES. now that you mention that, I remember there was this one stage which always pissed me off with the enemy team running superfast. I'd just do one supershot and then keep long rang passing the ball until time ran out lol.

I don't think FiFa, Pro Evolution Soccer or whatever kids play today from Football games can compete with this one, beautiful memories...
FIFA might have better graphics, but something it will never have is the charm and fun this game gives
God I remember this game. I used to love knocking out the other team to the point where all their players would permanently stay down on the ground. Fairly sure there was an ice pitch you could play on and do wicked long tackles!

The music still gets me hyped. Played this so much when I was a kid. I remember beating Cameroon 99-0 and not scoring another goal because I didn't know if the score would be visible. I should've made a picture of it back then. This was AWESOME

Played with a friend once back in the day, and did a super shot next to the goal. The ball went flying off the field, and the goalie went after it. This was seconds into the first half. We had to wait the whole 20 minutes. The goalie never came back with the ball.

when I played with my brothers that happened and more when we used the Italian teams, they knocked out the goalkeeper and it took several minutes to recover, the shots broke the net, this game was the maximum and more that could be played with 4 players, very new for the time and without the need for a split screen

The original is Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball-bu Soccer-hen, where you could only play Japan. Nintendo World Cup was then made for the western market, which is has some changes to the original. After that Kunio Kun Nekketsu Soccer League was released.
I remember knocking my opponents down, and they permanently lie on the ground, til I run the ball out of bounds.

Amazing memories the soundtrack brings so much memories of when i was a kid sitting in my living room playing endlessly for hours, i remember the various fields with rocks and sand and ice ...hahaha those days , I also remember that after a while most players would be dead on the field from hard tackles ...hahaha. I remember the sound tracks for Russia, west Germany , Argentina and Brazil it's all coming back to me ......Ah those sweet childhood days .

As Japan, I beat Argentina 11-9. I played this game for the first time since 2009.
With a few steps for powershot as Japan (along with France), I can handle them very well. Our defense was good (mostly sliding coz tackling led to killing yourself). I honestly played myself as Susumu since he was faster than the others (besides Kenji).
After months of getting the nostalgia back, I started to play some tricks on my teammates which put a smile on my face.
Examples:
1. Repeatedly knocking a Cameroon dude close to my goalkeeper til he dies
2. Score for the other team with goalkeeper join in enabled
3. Killing multiple guys with a supershot and then miss
4. Opponent goalkeeper failing to kill me as I approach his goal
How are you still playing this game?

The one thing I always loved was, when you do a super shot every other player on the field was just watching the situation. I know they couldn't do anything but their faces + the situation = it's hilarious. It's like "good luck, goaly!" xD

I remember playing this when i was younger at my grandmas. It was my uncle consoles and boy i use to play this from sun up to sun down. It was a very fun game. Use to be excited doing the super shot on accident. I really need to find it cuz i gotta start this again

I can honestly say that this is the most hilarious game I've ever played.
This game was the first one that my brothers and I had as we are 4 brothers, this game was our favorite of a lifetime and as it was played with 4 players, this game was great.

I think I remember this game, and I remember a certain song from it. Also, the ball turned into different things when you made a shot. This was a really good video. Some of the goals from it look really weird b/c the ball looking like it turned into two, and like in the last one, it doesn't even look like the last player touched it, and it went into the goal. It would be weird if they made a FIFA game like this or something.

The makers of this made a volleyball game that was also incredible.
@RyudoXy you do them exactly the same as normal supershots. the supershot-style is just different. just choose USA and then pick Dayv or Brian. no other team or player uses their supershot-style. check out my supershot tutorial if you don't know how to do the running supershot.
