    3 check before switching, rear view mirror, side view mirror, blind spot
    After signalling:
    1. Check rear view mirror (if car right behind you also wants to switch to same lane as you, then let them switch first)
    2. Side view mirror 2:20 if you see the full car behind you (both headlights) then you have enough distance to switch lanes in front of it. If one of the cars headlights are cut off by the mirror then don’t switch. This is only when going at high speed > 50
    3. Blind spot check

    I made a big mistake today while changing lane i saw a car in my blind spot and still changed the lane :( . While driving i almost forget to check my side mirror due to pressure :( i feel so bad and guilty. My road test is coming and im struggling to focus on my surroundings:(

    Because of watching your videos today for the first time in 5 years I parked perfect... today I drove Durango I don’t even have a backup camera in this car I did so perfect in first try I couldn’t believe it .. I usually few time reversed and fix the angle and than parked... thank you so much for your detail videos ... 🥰

    In Sweden, they will tell you to check mirrors and over the shoulder before signaling for a turn. The reason is that you may have someone in the dead zone right next to you, when you blink they may think you are just about to turn and you never know how they may respond to that. If you blink after checking, people know that you have checked to see that it's safe to turn.
    For the driver itself, yes it is simpler and easier to signal your intentions first and turn when it's safe. Like Volvo's, our system overall are designed by safety freaks - which is a good thing in my book. That don't mean Canada is less so, they are even more peculiar about the G1-G2 and full system.

    I think the safest way is first to check your mirrors and then if it is okay to signal. Why? this will help the other drivers from taking a dangerous maneuver. if you signal while another car is very close to you and difficult to change lane, then what do you think will do the other driver? he/she will try to avoid the crash by making an unsafe maneuver.

    • @pinkankeffet8261
      @pinkankeffet8261 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you please explain how to brake smoothly and also how to hold the speed for a beginners

    • @Tyrfingr
      @Tyrfingr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends alot on if you are driving a manual or an automatic.
      Short tip is: Let go of the gas a good while before your stop - planning is everything here. Then apply an even (important) but firm pressure on the brake as necessary (depends on your current speed) - If you have to put immidiate pressure on the break at the end, you will have that jerky stop you don't want. Usually this happens when you haven't calculated the breaking distance and are nearing the stop at too high of a speed. As the previous commentator said, you simply have to practice. Just remember to ease off on the break a little as you are about to stop, not all the way but slightly so as not to grind the car to a halt - that will end in a jerky stop - if you calculate this correctly. You should be on a slow roll towards the end. Then you gradually apply just a light touch of the break like packing a snowball. And you should be good.

    On my second driving test for a job I need to pay for my wife and I's pregnancy. I signal early to switch over the right lane of a two lane and I slowed down to let the car in the first lane pass and they slowed down with me and stopped in the first lane on major road. I got flustered just a little and the boss gave me this like what was that about my reaction.
    I hate dumb mfers who keep messing with my life and being dumb as their weapon ahhhhhhhh🥴
