@@metalsadman nah big dawg Jazz have had the talent to make it to finals. They literally lose to teams in embarrassing fashion or team that are handicap(sometimes both).
Until he learns how to post up, hook shots and command double teams, Rudy Gobert will always be an offensive liability. I can't believe Utah paid him that much money.
The Jazz need like 2 Jeremi Grants on their roster. Their lacking long athletic switchable wings that can guard other teams top players effectively, finish in open court & shoot the open 3. Right now their Defense revolves around funnelling everything to Gobert, which works in the regular season; but in the postseason in this era of the 3ball that strategy can easily be exploited. Gobert himself isn't the problem. He does his job patrolling the paint just fine. It's the philosophy of the Defense that has to be upgraded. You have to acknowledge guarding the perimeter & making offense difficult for star players out there. They're doomed to continue to fail until that is addressed.
Jup, exactly my point! Utah needs a great PG defender (Conley is just not good anymore) and a great wing defender (O'Neals is just average) as well as one more good bench 3&D guy. Grant would be perfect. But I am pretty sure Detroit wants more then Conley+ future 1st for him. Schröder would be a good PG for defensive reasons, but his offense (specially his shooting) is not that great. Same is true for Rubio. Its not easy, cause the Jazz dont have that many assets. But Gorbert/Mitchell are a good core to start, so they shouldnt blow the team up.
Luka looked deadnin theb4th...I dont know if it was the altitude but he looked beat....They gotta sit him down a bit and let Brunson take some of that work load
The thing is there is NO NEED TO GO FOR 3 when 2 will tie it. In those stakes go big or go home is just dumb. Statistically your odds instantly go up stepping up
The Warriors have the ELITE Shooting . Gobert is EXACTLY what the Warriors need right now . A 7 foot 2 Elite Shot Blocker like Gobert would make them NBA Champs for the next 5 years .
The fact that Gobert is way overpriced and is exposed every year in the playoffs is exactly why the Warriors won’t be making any sort of play for Gobert.

Coaching doesn't matter when you're the only one who dictates how hungry you are and your skill under pressure. You need a coach to manage the scenarios and make adjustments throughout the game to put you in a good position to win.
Rudy just big for no reason! He affected the game in no way offensively🤦♂️ like shaq and Chuck said he needs to return the favor by dropping off a 2 piece every time they scored and dominating the paint when your opponents are all smaller than you. All these new age big men play the game too soft.
Mitchell & jokic both looked like they needed help in salt lake city & denver. Smart coaching move by jason kidd against quin snyder to make the frenchman rudy gobert try to beat them offensively, which he obviously couldn't do.
Two off ball point guards that can shoot and handle. Perfect for Luka plus their forwards can all switch! All we need is a shooting defensive big. Time to go for Myles Turner back home!
@@supachef_dmoney_4 there was rumors of a trade for Porzingas before we gave him to the DC. He’d be perfect we have so much good small rebounders he could just focus on blocks and defense. Pacers rebuilding and his contract is up next year so I hope he come play in his hometown.
@@FupaDoncic What assets do we have? Bertans? THJ? We also only have this years 1st (26th) and the 2025 1st to throw in the mix. And Turner is injury prone. Same as KP was. I would prefer someone like Mo Bamba. He fits the Luka/JB timeline, can shoot 3's, can rebound and block shots. And his price tag should be way lower then Turner's is.
@@Smido83 I think it’s more the pacers have been in two dead year and they constantly sit their whole team. We have Powell expiring too for a throw in. I’m just speculating since his contract is expiring and they are rebuilding. Mo isn’t the shot blocker Myles is. And he’s kind of still raw years in. Think they would trade Wendell over him
@@FupaDoncic Hey, I also take Wendell Carter, no problem. But he is already more polished (like you sad, Bamba has still a lot of work to do), on a team friendly long term deal and even younger then Bamba. So why should they trade him? Like I sad, Turner is very injury prone. And the problem with his 18 Mio contract is, that Powell doesnt match well, unless we combine his contract with Maxi or Bullock. And i just wouldnt do that. Lets say we combine Bertans (17 mio) and Powell (11.5 Mio), means this trade would eat 10 Mio of Indis cap space, just so the team can get worse... how many picks do you want to send Indi to sweeten that deal? Of course a healthy Turner would be a perfect fit. I just dont think we have the right assets and I also have a lot of injury concerns if it comes to Turner. He hasnt played 50 games the last 2 seasons... So we basically gave up 2 1st for an Allstar, shot blocking Big who can also shoot, but with injury problems. Didnt work. Now do you want to do the same thing again? I dont...
Chuck is right about Rudy. He is a good defender but a non-factor on the offensive end. I never said this before but he needs to go, same for Quin Snyder. The whole league now knows how to beat the Jazz and he seems to be incapable of adjusting his strategy.
Actually luka did good because we can se he got good defense in this game. 2 steals. 2 blocks. That is a good defense. And now he has some defensive skills, but he really needs to still work on that defense and body.
I’d rather keep Donovan but they might not be able to get a decent trade for Rudy…and signing Mike didn’t make since because you already have one smaller guard with Mitchell it’s hard to win when your two best offensive players are smaller guards
Quinn: horrible adjustments & rotations, No plan-B, Trade Quinn to the Lakers or Spurs for a 1st round pick or two… Sam Cassell as a replacement, has history with Danny Ainge & is a champion on multiple levels… Rudy: Jazz would most likely have to include draft picks just to flip his contract & Jazz don’t have many if any draft picks available thanks to the horrible management job that included the original Conley trade (3 players + 2 1st round picks for a injury prone boarder line allstar that Memphis didn’t even want) & the Favors resigning & then trade that included giving up another 1st round pick… Onovan NO-D aka NO-MAMBA Mitchell: he’s the only Jazz player that has actual value and could bring in multiple draft picks to help a rebuild…
In terms of their options for moves, it's definitely tricky, but I think you have to change your coach as a first priority. This team isn't actually that bad, but they not adjusting to postseason play very well. I would look to move Gobert if I could, but only if return is worthwhile. Have to look for more agile wing defenders though, so that you can play small effectively when you need to in the postseason. Like Shaq's point about Gobert's offense. He needs more moves and if he can't develop them, you have to look to trade.
This was one first round playoff series I did not pick/predict on. To me it was a toss up, to close to call. Utah needs to make changes and or make acquisitions. To win only two games is not good. Dallas vs Golden State looks good on the marquee, but I do not believe it will go seven games. Some one will in 6-games.
Much respect to the Mavs well deserved but Mitchell probably needs to ask out to the Miami Heat this summer. Heat have the core & style of play that would bring the best out of him + Utah would be able to build around 6’5 Tyler Herro along with pieces like Duncan Robinson & Max Strus. Even though Gobert will have suitors I don’t think he can be logically moved with who’s on the market right now. Losing Rudy& keeping Mitchell doesn’t keep them in contention b/c they lack the wing players that can guard 3-5
I personally just wouldn’t trade him he has a contract and if you want him just sign him when he is 28 29 but if I am Utah I building around him and trying to get stuff colney gobert and bogey. Danny ainge tends to be very greedy with his trade and it doesn’t seem like Donovan would pull and Ben Simmons
@@mo-hunnit9184 Thing is you can’t get talent to come to Utah you have to build a stacked team & overpay there. Trading Gobert you can’t get the same value back in return especially with teams seeing there is a way around his defense by spacing the floor.
@@KDuff-2015 I mean there are teams that want him even with his contract. No it wouldn't. That would literally be the worst decision in the history of the NBA. Dallas moved away from bigs that can't shoot or move literally 2 months ago. It would make 0 sense to go back. Also nobody likes gobert. He's a classless animal.
I agree that the Mavs need a great defensive bigman, but I don't think they should go for a big contract. Starters and role players are key for Dallas, they can't give up 2 or 3 of those for a Gobert.

Statistically your odds instantly go up stepping up
Wide open 3, why not drive in?
When Shaq likes how someone is playing he just says “AAHH” every time 😂
Chuck started it off like Uncle Bernie “ I’ll tell you what America..” 😂😂
The Warriors have the ELITE Shooting . Gobert is EXACTLY what the Warriors need right now . A 7 foot 2 Elite Shot Blocker like Gobert would make them NBA Champs for the next 5 years .
U know this guy Wiseman? Rudy is on decline can only block and run
@@ahoj4480 that's all rudy could ever do.
Lol Gobert can’t play next to draymond they need to develop wiseman or go after a big who can stretch the floor and rebound
Too much money for him for that roster. Rudy is really worth 15 mil a year not what he's getting paid.
The fact that Gobert is way overpriced and is exposed every year in the playoffs is exactly why the Warriors won’t be making any sort of play for Gobert.
So as long as Dinwiddie and Brunson can show up, Dallas is a beast.
thanks Mavs and Jason Kidd.... keep working harder🙏

Coaching doesn't matter when you're the only one who dictates how hungry you are and your skill under pressure. You need a coach to manage the scenarios and make adjustments throughout the game to put you in a good position to win.
Kenny is spot on, Danny was brought on to make some serious moves for Utah in the coming years, trades, drafts and coaching shakeup, watch this space.

shaq really ride for his vić boys haha
Rudy just big for no reason! He affected the game in no way offensively🤦♂️ like shaq and Chuck said he needs to return the favor by dropping off a 2 piece every time they scored and dominating the paint when your opponents are all smaller than you. All these new age big men play the game too soft.

Mitchell & jokic both looked like they needed help in salt lake city & denver. Smart coaching move by jason kidd against quin snyder to make the frenchman rudy gobert try to beat them offensively, which he obviously couldn't do.
Lol didn't Barkley said, Jazz's gonna sweep the Dallas Maverick?!!! Lol Shag said "got em"!!
Dear Kenny, the Rockets won 2 championships because Jordan played baseball those 2 years. That's the ONLY reason.
my man orlando beat the bulls with jordan in the 2nd round in the 94-95 season. the magic ended up losing to the rockets that year.
Two off ball point guards that can shoot and handle. Perfect for Luka plus their forwards can all switch! All we need is a shooting defensive big. Time to go for Myles Turner back home!
BRUH, the Mavs would be scary with Myles. That's a lot of youth, size, and talent
The whole league now knows how to beat the Jazz and he seems to be incapable of adjusting his strategy.
their whole season was in that shot can you imagine the eruption in the fans had he made the shot?
Undoubtedly gone be some of the most exciting BALL we’ll see in awhile
Luka didn't have his best game, but at last he and the Mavs have made it to round 2! That series should go at least 6 games
Trade for Russ n THT n for Rudy..sounds bad but u can get of that money in 1 yr n build around Donovan
A+ Mark Cuban.... you've caught lightning in a bottle⚡🌩️⚡⛈️⚡⚡🤣
Quinn: horrible adjustments & rotations, No plan-B, Trade Quinn to the Lakers or Spurs for a 1st round pick or two… Sam Cassell as a replacement, has history with Danny Ainge & is a champion on multiple levels…
Rudy: Jazz would most likely have to include draft picks just to flip his contract & Jazz don’t have many if any draft picks available thanks to the horrible management job that included the original Conley trade (3 players + 2 1st round picks for a injury prone boarder line allstar that Memphis didn’t even want) & the Favors resigning & then trade that included giving up another 1st round pick…
Onovan NO-D aka NO-MAMBA Mitchell: he’s the only Jazz player that has actual value and could bring in multiple draft picks to help a rebuild…
I think that last shot was missed on purpose
Dallas isn't playing Golden State, though, they're playing Phoenix. Memphis is playing Golden State.
@@imnotmike do not comment under the influence. My bad.
I’m so disappointed in Mike Conley man, he was suppose to be that Jrue Holiday type player on the Jazz.
his numbers were so bad
The best thing they can do is to clear up the lane for Mitchell and move him to the point guard position because he is 6’1 he is still only 25 you can build around him if he was 27 now I agree you trade him at the pint but he can go through a down year because Utah can draft.
He does not have the defensive mindset to play in miami. They scout for those kinda of players

I agree that the Mavs need a great defensive bigman, but I don't think they should go for a big contract. Starters and role players are key for Dallas, they can't give up 2 or 3 of those for a Gobert.
kind of fitting the last Mavs "dynasty" haha run started with young Dirk / Finley / Nash taking out the Jazz with Stockton and Malone. Now Luka went through his first playoff win and it's against the Jazz. bring on the Suns!

Torched from the perimeter
Wrong. The rules were different . No zone, man to man defense so not as many wide open threes you see in today's game. Also you could touch perimeter players . Give most players the freedom to travel and shoot uncontested shots all game and you get this brand of basketball . They made the game easy on offense to suck casual fans in.
@@gregsizemo8143 wtf you just contradicted yourself so much. No zone so there was strict man to man. As a center, you could walk to the top of the key and the defending center would have to follow even if you couldn’t shoot.
