I have a 1993 320CE and use it as a daily driver, doing a 600km round trip in rural Australia every week for work. Everything you say is correct - it's comfortable, quiet, fairly economical and easy to maintain, has enough power and is not a boring modern appliance. It gets plenty of admiring looks & comments and I love it to bits.
+1.. Luv the channel & the C124 Coupe. .. You're speaking to the choir; "You can take my '94 3.2l C124 Coupe from my cold dead hands" .. Our uncle left (93yo) me his gorgeous C124 coupe. .. Smoke silver metallic with Creme beige leathers. .. @ 85 mph its as quiet as a church mouse. .. An "Engineered like No Other" Road Trip cruiser. .. Thanks! Cheers, M/S ... Vail, Colorado (Subscribed)
Thanks Michael, they are truly special aren’t they? Understated but still turns heads today with their pillar less design. I must try the cars that sit either side of this, the C123 and CLK!
Oh no . Not another Mercedes owning Kevin !. That's a handsome looking car and in the right colour. I like the R129 but the C124 has the additional practicality of 4 seats so would get my vote. In terms of build quality with modern creatuire comforts it was probably " peak Merc". Thanks for the video Simon. Get yourself a straight six - you know it makes sense !
I can tell you that the transition to a CLK was the biggest bad purchase of my life. That says enough. The CLK felt like a cheap smaller car, without that nice view over the hood. So, buy a C124, the price are 👍 from now
Kevin is absolutely right about the cost of a new car Vs investing in something that you really want to drive. It's really great to hear that he is enjoying the car on a daily basis. Another nicely put together video Simon. Well done!
I got a super deal on one in college; drove it all four years and the sold it for more than I bought it to a Russian mechanic who bought it as a wedding gift to his new wife (it was her dream car).. I drove it for free basically.
How many of these wonderful cars within Greater London will be sold by families that love them because of Khan’s disgusting ULEZ extension. Which we hope will be scrapped or delayed, so don’t sell up yet folks.
Indeed an endangered species, too young to qualify for the over 40 years exemption but too old to reach emission standards..,the same as my Mercedes 190E🤔

I drove a '92 300 CE-24 throughout the 90s. Loved every second of it.

Fantastic, buy it, enjoy it and get your money back, what a result!
I drive mine all the time too. 95 E320 coupe same color as you featured. MB of Canada said only 9 were sold here.
1 of 9 they were rare in Canada!
Lovely car and the convertible was a proper 4 seater. Haven’t driven one in over 20 years
Thanks, it’s surprising how quick and refined the car feels despite being from 1995.
Just gorgeous
Great video. Thank you for posting it.
Thanks Kevin, and many thanks for trusting me with this beautiful coupe!
A looker. 🙌 thanks for the video.
17" or 18"?? Looks so nice.
Ooh. Borgward Isabella coupe spotted at 3:21. That's a rare beast indeed.
VERY well spotted, I’d totally missed that!!
+1.. Good eye. .. A rare beast in red...
I'd like to own an E280 M104 5MT someday...
Why isn't the model year included in the title or description?
Good point, I can fix that!
10/10
