I was a Jezebel...I am born-again and being sanctified, so I am experiencing the Lord leading me into discipline and submission.
At times it's gut wrenching, trying to take what I learned as a defense mechanism ( my protection) and throwing it out the window. I struggle with pride as well, and it is amazing what the Lord will reveal to you in terms of pride.
I find myself still trying to fix my life/ my charachter defects as they are made known to me ( yep, pride shadows all of that),
That's the gut wrenching part.
Learning how to simply say, "God, I know you are revealing this to me, but I don't know what to do or how to fix it, please have mercy on me and help me."
This is when my Father wraps his arms around me gives me the grace I need to live more righteously.
The burden to be stronger is lifted, and in my weakness I am blessed.
When you realize just how wicked you are, that's when Jesus can do His holy work in you.

Living alone together. My wife and I sleep in seperate rooms and I am not allowed in her room without her permission. For now I don't mind sleeping in seperate rooms as I commune with God best at night so I can pray in my own room but I know the day to confront her demons in the name of Jesus is fast approaching and God has told me my prayers for my wife's deliverance have been heard and God will answer them all in time. We are both over 60 years old with no kids between us just my wife's daughter who lives overseas. Please pray for the three of us that God's will for us will fully come to pass. Jesus is Victor.

I've dealt with both sexes of Jezebels. Narcissistic actions coincide closely to Jezebel Spirits. It's a living nightmare dealing with these types of people. They will destroy and seek revenge and eat you alive if they know you fear them. Do whatever it takes to say NO!!

Yes. My sister in law is a jezebel and so is her mother . My sister in law has lost four kids she had with three different men . She just lost her last two because we turned her into cps for using meth and her and her mother attack my husband and I on social media all the time blaming us saying we are liars even though she failed her drug test with such high levels cps immediately took her kids away . We never respond. The latest message was they are going to have us thrown in prison . They are very hard to deal with its very sad . All we know to do is stay away from them and we never respond to anything they say. Any advice for us ?

I've known several men with Jezebel spirits. Both men and women with this spirit are scary, mean and manipulative.
They are also called destructive narcissists.
They don't scare me per se. They make me quite angry, though. Because they are bullies, and they hide and try to force their agendas on people. They roar as a roaring lion.

wow...I just tried to help my girlfriend and got dragged through the mud. She was vicious....
How were you able to disarm your defenses without harming your husband in the process?
Pray, read the Word, seek Christian counseling and walk alongside people who are further along in the process, repeat.

Pray for me. So much of this triggered me. Ive been working on myself, my attitude my need for control. Ive changed so much. But i came across this video for a reason and the fact that I did feel triggered means i have alot more to work on.

If you'll allow me, I think you very fairly got upset hearing Mark's words, as would just about any women hearing him constantly bash them in this "sermon". And in my opinion, the opposite message should be learned. Not that you or I don't have anything to work on in our lives; I 100% acknowledge the problems in our own lives that we need to account for and heal. It's that Mark Driscoll is not helping anything but only attacking women and putting the blame on them for anything wrong in a man's life. The youtube algorithm indeed sends us to weird places sometimes!

I left my entire legacy behind. 3 jezebels who did nothing but abuse the only Christian in the legacy- me. I don’t see any of them or communicate w any of them. At 66 I’ve thrown myself on Jesus’s mercy to take care of me in my old age.

Peace unto you. I left 4 women in basically 1999. Got back from Africa, spo,e to mom once. Then reached back out 9 years later.
She got possed by 1996 as I was witness to it that year in her hoyse. Her daughter is as Jezebel's, one of my sisters.
Elijah walks in a forcefulness that these entities cannot abide with.
My daughter has had a jezebel spirit for 30 years. There's absolutely no getting along with her
I came here looking for the jezebel spirit signs and found a community of MEN under God. I don't think this is a coincidence because I recently came back to God after many years. Alot of things have unfolded which leads me to believe the demons I've been dancing with are very angry. They pulled away from me a woman who has loved me deeply and shown it to me not just in words and yes we were just living in the flesh without a relationship. I started getting this uncomfortable feeling that I wanted to be in a commitment with her with the intention of marriage and she pulled away. Over the past weeks she's been distant and yesterday she finally told me that she wanted to be free. I found out she's been getting advice from 20 year old girls who's only desire is to party every weekend. From a human perspective this is just someone wanting to be free and sleep around but because for the past weeks I've been turning to God for guidance, he actually allowed me to know where she was getting influence from and the name JEZEBEL came to my head. Her coworker who is a Christian man told her "don't go to that party, jezebel is after you" she told me about this conversation and I asked her , "do you remember I mentioned that name to you recently?" She said omg yes. This was before today. Today though she came to me with full honesty that she wanted to have fun and that she wasn't planning on sleeping around or becoming like those girls. I asked her to please research this name and that's why I'm here because I'm going to ask God for help because I don't wanna speak to her from my flesh when I see her again. I almost forgot, she actually proposed to me to remain friends with benefits because she wasn't ready for a relationship. I almost fell into temptation but I refused. I told her she can have my friendship and I will speak to her in a few days in person. I'm going to fast and ask God for his wisdom and for him to use me to help this woman. I've put my earthly desires and my personal feelings for her aside to let God show me how to help her without my feelings or desire getting in the way of what needs to be done.

@becdnj That's not true Christianity. THIS is Christianity Galatians 5, 1John 4, MATT 5 :43'48, MATTHEW 25 31-46. When these are the priority of churches rather than serving a cold hearted culture and politics, over Christ, then you may have something.
This is such a powerful sermon! As a single woman I have watched other women use their very strong sexual presence to snare men, and completely take over their life. People I considered friends until watching the manipulation. Personally I hear myself in the control or not letting my guard down because I have been hurt in the past. Working on that! Identification of the issue and Jesus is the answer to healing a broken heart.

Im not sure you have an ahab spirit automatically, thats accusatory (it is possible) but the jezebel spirit goes after people with the Elijah anointing, or strong prophetic anointing. If the enemy has been sending counterfeits into your life, especially seductive, beautiful and or manipulative...it is an assignment to destroy your destiny. I was married to a husband that was a Jezebel. I called it narcissistic. He ticks a lot on this list. But as i listen i see things in myself that i did and don't like it. I spent 26 years in self defense mode and probably learned some bad stuff. I have some praying to do. But this sure explains a lot of things.

This was very good. I pray and ask discernment. That the teaching not be used against those who are innocent. Its very common for people to be quickly accused of a Jezebel spirit when they do try to speak up. Ive been falsely accused when I tried to speak against abuse. We need to be very discerning. Its in both men and women. No matter whats been done to me, I seek God's help so that the trauma does not work through me. I pray for servant leadership. Leaders that lead in humility so that others like me can grow and not be discouraged in their faith. One way to stop the Jezebel is to treat your daughters with great care and respect. To teach your sons to honor them. Women need to know they are cherished if they are cherished and safe so they can become the wives God calls them to be. We need men who will not tolerate abuse and harm to women and children of any age. Who will not hide and manipulate to cover abuse. Childhood is so important and Satan attacks children because of the deep impact. This was very good.

I never really spoke up but my presence and how I acted threatened the jezebel because my submissive, sacrificial serving and godly womanly approach caused way more impact than her right before she tried to take back control and destroyed me and the church family along with the pastor she was controlling.

This series so far has been so eye opening. Something I prayed about tonight regarding myself, and I'll put it out there in case it helps someone else, I have Ahab tendencies and Jezebel moments. It's interesting.
When it comes to responsibility and duty, meaning there are things that need to be done that should be done, I'm an Ahab. But when I'm not in a position I want to be in, I'm a Jezebel.
It used to be that I wanted to be in control, be my own boss, be a leader, all of that, and I was a Jezebel to get it (overpowering, domineering even), and when I got it, I became an Ahab, doing just what's necessary to stay there, but not actually be responsible and build up the thing I wanted when I got it.
And it started when I was a kid. I used to get picked on and jumped and beat up, and being the only boy with 3 sisters, I was always told, "you don't know your own strength," "you have to be patient," "don't fight," and all of that combined over the years to be being a very passive person, and what would happen is, when I had enough, I'd snap and the Jezebel would come out. Absolute terrifying rage. People were scared of me and I loved it.
I'm several years removed from the worst of me, a decade or more since the Lord started working on me and changing me, and I've been living the life of discipleship for almost 5 years now, (since I turned 40; I'm 45 now), but even that far removed from it, I recognize that I still have faint tendencies of both.
And depending on where I a, what the situation is, or the environment, one or the other tendency will become dominant.
I recognized that through this series so far and the thing I'm praying for an working on now is that the Lord remove from me those tendencies and build me back up to be more like Elijah, like Jesus Christ.
And now I'm working on being more mindful of that and working to adjust by mindset and my behavior moving forward.

Men and women can have this spirit. I am married to one. It is a spirit and it works through men and women creating misery. I didn't know and I married mine. Worse mistake 😕

I was really blessed by this word. We are dealing with someone with this spirit in my family. When Pastor said they will leave you wondering when they sleep-it’s so true. Feeling so broken and worn down that your flesh says you’d rather lay down and die. Also true. Thank you God for giving us strength.
And so happy to see one of the few pastors (unfortunately) unequivocally denounce the spirit of Jezebel in Andrew Tate. I have been so disappointed in the waffling denouncement from other leaders in the church. If you promote the harm of women and children, there should be no partial support of that person’s message.
My father in law married a jezebel and Pastor Mark hit the nail on the head on every evil attribute of this controlling spirit .

Now im submissive he is our leader and your 4 childen are being raised by a godly woman and a God fearing man. Im thankful jezebel was gone from our home before I became a mother. I needed to hear this message. I've been having a difficult 5 year marriage. And my husband fits perfectly in every story that you been teaching on I could add more to it even. And my definition of the controlling,evil murderous spirited person is a narcissist. I had no idea who he truly was for he lied to me about the person he really is. It's a traumatizing and overwhelming experience and I'm definitely at my place of being filled with his web of manipulation,and deception and lies. Now Ive just got to get out before he completely destroys me. Hearing your message has given me hope and encouragement I honestly thought I was the only one going through this and never been around such evil murderous spirited,wicked,hateful person in my 51 years of life.

Wow this the most thorough explanation of the traits of a Jezebel! I have never heard anyone mention the time thing. This person I knew would purposely make us delayed and late, making me feel stressed and rushed. She then made it seem like I had a problem of "being too organised". I simply just wanted to get on that train!
A girl at my church is being plagued by a man who has the Jezebel spirit inside him. Pray this torment will cease soon. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD.

Great teaching pastor thank you. It reminds me of an email I sent to a pastor who was going to be speaking at a conference. I sent it to inquire why he wasn’t there as both my husband and I had gone to hear him. His wife responded, he had been uninvited. I finally figured out he was protecting himself from a woman who might be a jezebel. Lol 😂 I’m older, that was no where in my mind or heart. A great sermon. I believe I am as responsible for my future marriage relationship as my husband will be. So any healing that needs to happen I hope to resolve before getting married and I hope to have a healthy way to deal with any future adversity. I do have a lot of trauma in my past but it doesn’t own my future.

Also in that marriage I realized my character defects and have matured out of this. Every day I pray for his will be done and show me to be the man of God he wants me to be. Alice, I understand you ❤️ I realized through a LOT of mistakes when we experience trauma at a young age and we were not important, that we have a tendency to go the polar opposite sometimes and being afraid of being a strong woman that we will dominate a man, that we instead will pick men that can’t be dominated but are often sadistic, cruel, unloving. I know that was the case for me. I felt because I was strong and had been on my own from a young age and didn’t want to dominate a man, I instead went towards men that did not resemble Jesus and treated me terribly. One even plotted to steal my life. And when YOU are the one that is trying to follow Jesus it creates a very horrible situation. You can’t speak, you can’t speak ill of your husband, you are judged for divorce if you leave and you realize to follow the law of man that was put on the church you are better off just giving the man your life as a sacrifice. There is balance I am learning. Jesus doesn’t hate women. He also doesn’t want us taking away the breath of a man. Before marriage it’s better to have Jesus as your husband and He should be throughout our lives. He can take us on dates and is compassionate and loving! And when we get use to submitting to HIM, that is the best way to know if He has sent you someone to submit to. That brings a whole woman in to a marriage and keeps us away from bondage. If you go in to marriage thinking you can love someone enough to heal all their wounds and they will then be kinder, that’s not our roll, that’s the Holy Spirits. Our roll in marriage is to be submissive, quiet, won without a word. A lot of women don’t weigh that before marriage including myself so you don’t marry in to a dictatorship on either side. Marry someone with peace. And someone that exemplifies Jesus with the way he loves others that inspires you to be bolder in grace and love and it’s safe to be vulnerable to. God bless you sister ❤️🙏

This is such a hot point with me. I have endured so many jezebels, one actually being a couple of husbands. My poor brother is an Ahab. He is a hard-working 83-yo. He has absolutely sacrificed himself to make his wives happy, to little avail. The most recent wife has twelve chihuahuas who sleep with her. Her day is consumed with caring for the dogs and surfing the web. A son-in-law who does absolutely nothing lives with them. My brother does all the housework, shopping, finances, cooking and yard work. He even has a part-time job. Oddly enough, he’s the oldest by at least ten years and yet is the healthiest. But I can see him getting so tired and discontent. He’s getting tired of it.

And, add to that, I have not been judgmental - as you apparently are, because even at a distance you actually believe you know why my marriages failed. Misfortune is not always the fault of the sufferer. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it isn’t.
This message really helped me identify what I’m experiencing with a supposed friend and I’m having to now pray through..it truly is spiritual warfare.

Narcissism, Histrionic and Borderline personality disorders are commonly present with raging Jezebels.
But most women are Jezebels now, some just more covert than others, and they don't have a full-blown personality disorder, but they certainly exhibit those traits.
