    I'm also from Vancouver and did the exact same journey 6 months ago from Gatwick to London Bridge. It's amazing seeing familiar landmarks like Tower Bridge and City Hall as you roll into the station. I took a cab, however, as it was only a few blocks to my hostel. Only costed £7 for the ride.

Also just go and walk around the sea wall- it's a beautiful walk and you get to see a lot of the nature the city has to offer. Check out Stanley Park too!

Super excited..and looking at your video, i'm even more excited. My itenary is almost done, just that i'm still confused how to reach kensington from Gatwick airport. My hotel is booked there and i'm not sure if oyster will be available at gatwick or not. I will get an oyster at the hotel, but reaching at the hotel is still a question mark. Please suggest ! Thankyou in advance.

    The video was awesome. I was wondering how to use the transportation from the Gatwick to a hotel beside Hyde Park and compare it with the Taxi cost, especially with heavy luggage.

    • @Sarahstratford
      @Sarahstratford  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you would be ok to take the transport even with luggage, they are pretty flexible with escalators and what not. But if you really have big bags then I recommend downloading UBER and taking an uber instead of a taxi/cab in London because it's a fraction of the price.
      Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

The platforms change all the time, but they're all in the same area, so you'll be able to ask someone there for help- or just have a look at the train display board to see which one says "London Bridge".
