I hope that each floor is a different themed department, as if they were different worlds in a Mario game, since each world has different mechanics, scenarios and enemies😊
Make pencils and rubber bands either drop from enemies and be randomly generated in the furniture. Combine four pencils and two rubber bands to make a knife If you collect more pencils along the way you have the choice to upgrade your knife to a sword. Collect even more rubber bands and now you can make a crossbow. It would add a whole new layer of gameplay to the run, as you get more powerful as the run goes on, and don't just keep using the multicolor minigun forever.
For the death animation, I think it would be pretty cool if you made them burst into a pile of money which then slowly floated down for you to pick up, it would fit pretty well with your game. I'm not sure if there would be anything to buy though.
For the tiny gun you could make a single animation frame where the front of the barrel expands to the size of the tv (you could also have the tv sticking out of it partially). Now it looks a bit off when a tv appears out of nowhere.
Office ARG HORROR REAL?! Jokes asides, this is really fun to watch! Seeing you add and fix to smoothen out your game is always a treat!! Keep up the good work :)
If reception is the room that spawn at the beginning of a new floor, you could use it as an hub for the player (with receptionists as shop, dialogues etc...). It's also interesting that reception has two exits to choose between, and you could play with that, too... :D
at this stage i have now watched every one of your devlogs deynum and I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed them. Cant wait for the next one. Very noice!
You should add desks to the center of the room but make them like the tables from enter the gungeon (pushable, breakable, and can be used for cover) this way you add more enemies to rooms or make them stronger with out being unfair
Looks awesome! One tip for looping projectiles - you should try scaling/animating the shadow below the flying tv to get smaller as it reaches the peak of its flight :)
i feel like it would make sense that there would be more obstacles as you get higher in the building, sortof increasing the difficulty? dunno, the rooms all feel so same-y if you only decorate the rooms with filing cabinets
about the objects in the middle of the room, you could add a feature like throwing the object out of the way when you roll towards it! it could be a great feature, you could for example throw a desk and then use it for protection
Hey, Here is a random weapon idea I had for the next DevLog. The name is the Watch the gameplay mechanic it would have is you would be able to stop time for how many ever enemy's you have killed as a example (1 kill= 1 sec) and the whole screen would go grey *except for your character* and there would be a distortion effect over the screen. as you freeze time you will be able to shoot bullets with time's on it as a example ( you shoot out the time 1:00 to 12:59) there would also be a animation on the clock where the hand spins around to different place's.
This great! I have some suggestions that can help improve the game: 1: Destroyable objects, seeing as how the Computer Gun is now added, there should be some destroyable objects scattered around the map. This would make the gun feel even more satisfying seeing the monitor crush tables/drawers. 2: Death Animations: it's probably on your agenda, but still. 3: More specialized rooms, there should be more specialized rooms in this game with different environments for players to interact with. It would feel boring going from room to room doing the exact same thing with the exact same aesthetics. Maybe have 1-2 special rooms on each floor. Say a security office, staff canteen, roomed offices (not offices), etc. Maybe also put some rarer enemies then them. Either way, it should help spice up the gameplay as the player moves room to room. 4: Seeing through walls, I really like the introduction of pillars as seen in 7:57, I feel like there should be more of them (seeing as how many rooms are very open and pillars would make sense) and you can use it as cover against enemies.
I love the spinning screen! You should scale the shadow down and up with the same curve you use for launching the screen so it actually looks like it flies up because otherwise it can be difficult seeing when it will land and understand it's position in the room
i just started watching the devlogs of this game and please tell me you're planning some kind of weapon combos, like using the printer gun and then using the stapler gun to staple them all together and do concentrated damage or something that would be cool. i think.
Love to see the progress being made, perhaps akimbo stable guns could be another fun weapon to add? and a fax machine that shoots pieces of paper very quickly but they have exceddingly random trajectories.
Here's an idea for the game: -You can find *paper clips* around the map -These paper clips are used to lock pick *locked doors* around the office that lead you to secret rooms, or, well, janitor closets in order to find treasure or really good weapons
Instead of a gun, you should be able to pick up a tv and strap it to your back or something, then throw it. I also think it should shatter when it hits the ground, that way it doesn't just stay there forever.
I think it will look cool once the "TV" hits the ground, the circuits inside the tv will pop out of the monitor. But, I'm starting to watch your devlogs again!
Ideas for death animations for enemy’s Bob falls over on his face and leaves a few cracks on the floor from his size Greg drops his coffe and corks into the fetal position and cries Steve can either fall on his back or slip on water from his jug if he’s holding one or not Also new enemy idea George is simple enough and can randomly wield one of any weapon you’ve made and has a chance to drop it
You should make a gun that’s made out of connector pens, im not sure how popular they are in your country but in Australia, kids love connector pens and we would clip them together to make them look like guns, it’s a core childhood memory for me
I absolutely love the game so far, one little thing is I think the enemies should have a more satisfying and dramatic death animation. Just having them instantly vanish when they die isn’t as satisfying as having them… say explode or crumble or something. Keep up the good work!
I am so happy that the you are still working hard on the game and I already can’t wait for the next devlog! Will definitely buy the game when it is released!
Couple ideas for weapons: Mechanical pencil: shoot out led, but if you press like E or something you can extend the led, and if you line it up properly you can stab multiple enemies Phone: more of an item, once activated you can call an enemy, temporarily distracting them. You can do this either 1-4 times depending on the enemy and some random chance thing
new weapon: glasses • gonna function like a boomerang • it breaks after it was thrown new enemy: walter (blured vision) • gonna have glasses • will attack when he has glasses • able to steal his glasses • walks around randomly while trying to find a new set of glasses • holds a suitcase (with a brick inside)
Idea for further improve the TV grenade. One type of it could be a stun, so when it lands on the ground it will show a bluescreen on the display and have blue circle coming out and stunning those near :)
as far as desk in the center of the rooms go, you could try pushing the player back and shake the desk (like spilling paper)); or make it gungeon style where you could flip desk and roll over them
I think that the player could only hold one or two weapons and all of the other weapons can be in the elevator so you would have to choose your weapons for a floor. Maybe a good endless mode???
You should make crazy death animations, like Greg the runner when he dies if he’s running could trip and fall/slide across the floor. Bob could go super sain and explode or even fall into pieces like legos or dissolve into paper, things like that. Also when the enemies get hit you should animate some form of a reaction
I definitely think you should add destructible stacks of paper or plants or desks and machines or something to fill out the middle of the room. Rolling through them and breaking them would make the environment feel more real and intractable without getting in the way. If you let attackers/projectiles break them then it adds a strategic element of using the environment for one off blocking or obstacles to work around.
Love the devlogs! Quick suggestion though, I think you should keep the tables in the center of some rooms. Just add functionality to them to spice up gameplay. Like flipping the tables over to block projectiles?
You could do an enemy death animation like they fall apart to piles of paper. I think it would suit your non-violent-looking game) And it would add some more ridiculousness
Could you add death animations and rag dolls of the corpses after they die? I feel like that would just make the game hilarious Idk, great work on it though.
it needs death animations, collectibles, and alot of replayability and its solid also bosses, which are quite literally your bosses, IE managers or the ceo
You should add a storage room that acts like a treasure room where you can find new weapons instead of them just being on the floor, it could also contain upgrades like a tie for agility or something
Suggestions: Adding something that makes your game "unique" besides just aesthetic. So far, although Death Inc is cool, it provides no unique gameplay that hasn't been done before. Of course, you don't need this but if you want players, you should probably think of a unique mechanic or system to attract potential customers. - Potential Ideas: Mix of different gameplay types. For example, make it so that each room has a different "challenge," like stealth or a time limit Have the rooms themselves change position to emulate the feeling of a large and confusing office complex Unique level interactions, like a boss that periodically moves from room to room where you need to avoid him and reach his office or a level where you need to collect four cookies to bring to the guy blocking the door Common room interactions, like using printers to refuel your paper gun or water jugs to boost your stamina like that one enemy whose name I forgot. MOAR WEAPONS because the ideas you've come up with so far are hilarious. I think I mentioned a long list of some in your last video.
Lovely editing. The pacing is excellent. Good luck with the game :) Also if you don’t add a potato peeler weapon this game will fail. This is the truth
Suggestion: a large maze room made out of cubicles. I get confused about which way goes where in some offices so maybe that feeling could be recreated as an actual maze, potentially with a couple enemies or a secret room or item or something
You should make death animations for when you kill the enemies in the game, or at least make it more obvious that they died, because right now it looks like they just disappear and have the exact same glow thingy as when they just take damage.
Might seem like an extra, but I think making the decorations get destroyed would add a lot to the theme and fun. Papers flying about, decks breaking, computer falling and blue screening. Also an hr employed named linda who throw the book at you would be hilarious.
a fun feature would be making the player be able to throw their weapons at the enemies, allowing them to pick up random office equipment and swinging it at to attack and stun enemies

Ayyy congrats on the sponsor!
Can't believe you got a sponsor!
I hope that each floor is a different themed department, as if they were different worlds in a Mario game, since each world has different mechanics, scenarios and enemies😊
bezier curves........
That last part honestly makes it seem like this could be a great horror game, lol.
Having secret lore rooms seem like a cool place to have horror stuff in.
I love secret lore rooms so much
Oh my god. You should make a marker sword made of like, 4 markers connected together. The first melee weapon in the game.
Fufill our dreams.
Make pencils and rubber bands either drop from enemies and be randomly generated in the furniture.
Combine four pencils and two rubber bands to make a knife
If you collect more pencils along the way you have the choice to upgrade your knife to a sword.
Collect even more rubber bands and now you can make a crossbow.
It would add a whole new layer of gameplay to the run, as you get more powerful as the run goes on, and don't just keep using the multicolor minigun forever.
@@godslayer9000 That is a great idea!
those lightsabers i made in the 1st grade lol
@@devswears the dark side of the force is a pathway to abilites some consider to be... unnatural
This has been suggested at least twice on the discord server.
Now that you have elevators you have to add a sequence in which the elevator breaks and falls down to a lower floor, which could be a boss fight
For the death animation, I think it would be pretty cool if you made them burst into a pile of money which then slowly floated down for you to pick up, it would fit pretty well with your game. I'm not sure if there would be anything to buy though.
Yeah that would be very fitting! Maybe there will be an event on a random floor that's named loan day. On loan day they drop more money maybe? 🤔
That opening animation is hilarious! I’ve been loving the series and you’ve even inspired me to try coding! Keep up your great and unique content!
You should make the enemies drop their ties then the player could use the ties as a currency to buy things on hr rooms or vending machines
Or maybe a tie laso
I like how the videos have some production quality
Its nice these devlogs grew without losing its style
I can’t believe you would add such a SCANDALOUS thing as WALLS
If reception is the room that spawn at the beginning of a new floor, you could use it as an hub for the player (with receptionists as shop, dialogues etc...).
It's also interesting that reception has two exits to choose between, and you could play with that, too... :D
The intro animation and the last bit are absolutely golden
Oh my god, i loved the intro animation! It warmed my little animator heart, haha!
Wow, this dev cycle is really fast. Very impressive.
at this stage i have now watched every one of your devlogs deynum and I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed them. Cant wait for the next one. Very noice!
Thank you very much! Incredibly noice!
When you make your trailers for the game they should be like office tours
Awesome devlog, the intro animation was really funny and that VHS tour was really cool haha
You should add desks to the center of the room but make them like the tables from enter the gungeon (pushable, breakable, and can be used for cover) this way you add more enemies to rooms or make them stronger with out being unfair
A chain of paperclips would make a great whip/flail
The second you mentioned a laptop, I had the idea of a laptop boomerang - and now I'm imagining killing office workers with a laptop of all things
Looks awesome! One tip for looping projectiles - you should try scaling/animating the shadow below the flying tv to get smaller as it reaches the peak of its flight :)
and just like that, a weirdly aggressive office game now has *LLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
i feel like it would make sense that there would be more obstacles as you get higher in the building, sortof increasing the difficulty? dunno, the rooms all feel so same-y if you only decorate the rooms with filing cabinets
"and thats just bread" ive been eating sandwiches wrong.
about the objects in the middle of the room, you could add a feature like throwing the object out of the way when you roll towards it! it could be a great feature, you could for example throw a desk and then use it for protection
Amazing devlog! The videocuts and the editing is really well done
The Music fits the theme of office so well, its just deam good. The faster and slower music, 👌
I love how on the thumbnail it makes you think the important thing is the thing inside the elevator, but it's actually just the elevator itself
The editing for this video is incredible, and the game itself is starting to really take shape. Cant wait to see where it goes!
I'm so happy for you you got your first sponsor!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey, Here is a random weapon idea I had for the next DevLog.
The name is the Watch the gameplay mechanic it would have is you would be able to stop time for how many ever enemy's you have killed as a example (1 kill= 1 sec)

You should make a mini boss called "the receptionist". It will summon employees to attack you using the pa system!
This great! I have some suggestions that can help improve the game:
1: Destroyable objects, seeing as how the Computer Gun is now added, there should be some destroyable objects scattered around the map. This would make the gun feel even more satisfying seeing the monitor crush tables/drawers.

You could add treasure (storage) rooms. dead end rooms with box in the middle, that's how the player would get new weapons
Ideas for death animations for enemy’s
Bob falls over on his face and leaves a few cracks on the floor from his size
Greg drops his coffe and corks into the fetal position and cries
Steve can either fall on his back or slip on water from his jug if he’s holding one or not
Also new enemy idea
George is simple enough and can randomly wield one of any weapon you’ve made and has a chance to drop it
You should make a gun that’s made out of connector pens, im not sure how popular they are in your country but in Australia, kids love connector pens and we would clip them together to make them look like guns, it’s a core childhood memory for me
Omg so many people are recommending connector pens Id love to see one as a kiwi!

I am so happy that the you are still working hard on the game and I already can’t wait for the next devlog! Will definitely buy the game when it is released!
The "Office Tour pt. 2" video at the end would make a great advertisement for this game, it was great
Couple ideas for weapons:
Mechanical pencil: shoot out led, but if you press like E or something you can extend the led, and if you line it up properly you can stab multiple enemies
Phone: more of an item, once activated you can call an enemy, temporarily distracting them. You can do this either 1-4 times depending on the enemy and some random chance thing
new weapon: glasses
• gonna function like a boomerang
• it breaks after it was thrown
new enemy: walter (blured vision)
• gonna have glasses
• will attack when he has glasses
• able to steal his glasses
• walks around randomly while trying to find a new set of glasses
• holds a suitcase (with a brick inside)
wow, the video quality really went flying, great work deynum, great work!
Idea for further improve the TV grenade. One type of it could be a stun, so when it lands on the ground it will show a bluescreen on the display and have blue circle coming out and stunning those near :)
Parabolae are vertical cuts of a cone observed from a two-dimensional perspective. Random fact. Anyways, great and hilarious video!
as far as desk in the center of the rooms go, you could try pushing the player back and shake the desk (like spilling paper)); or make it gungeon style where you could flip desk and roll over them
also, as far as doors go; there could be a animation to kick a door and it to go flying across the room
When launching the tv its shadow should shrink when it's high in the air. It would sell the effect even more. It looks a bit weird right now
0:29 The game loop and main thing of game is a smart device and a programing language!
that's brilliant.
I was JUST watching your last devlog yesterday wondering when the next one would come out. Talk about good timing haha
I think that the player could only hold one or two weapons and all of the other weapons can be in the elevator so you would have to choose your weapons for a floor. Maybe a good endless mode???
You should make crazy death animations, like Greg the runner when he dies if he’s running could trip and fall/slide across the floor. A Sandwich without anything inside it is just BREAD?!?!?! You learn something new everyday...
In the little elevator room where you wait to load you should add a panel next to the door where you can push the buttons to select your floor
I suck at pixelart, almost more than regular art. But your fun creations gave me some motivation to try and learn some more of it :)
Reminds me a lot of a game called Yuppie Psycho, worth checking out if you want an absurd game set in an office building
Love the devlogs! Quick suggestion though, I think you should keep the tables in the center of some rooms. Just add functionality to them to spice up gameplay. Like flipping the tables over to block projectiles?
can you please add a pencil holder grenade that fires pencils when it lands.
You could do an enemy death animation like they fall apart to piles of paper.
I think it would suit your non-violent-looking game)
And it would add some more ridiculousness
Could you add death animations and rag dolls of the corpses after they die?
I feel like that would just make the game hilarious
Idk, great work on it though.
it needs death animations, collectibles, and alot of replayability and its solid
also bosses, which are quite literally your bosses, IE managers or the ceo
One thing that stood out to me in the Office Tour was the lack of death animations.
Instead of a parabola you vould also give the projectile an initial velocity and decrease that by a certain amount each tick simulating gravity
You should add a storage room that acts like a treasure room where you can find new weapons instead of them just being on the floor, it could also contain upgrades like a tie for agility or something
Wow the TV grenade looks fantastic when fired. Looks a bit funny coming out of such a small gun though 😁
Keep up the great work.
Suggestions:
Adding something that makes your game "unique" besides just aesthetic. So far, although Death Inc is cool, it provides no unique gameplay that hasn't been done before. Of course, you don't need this but if you want players, you should probably think of a unique mechanic or system to attract potential customers.

MOAR WEAPONS because the ideas you've come up with so far are hilarious. I think I mentioned a long list of some in your last video.
i think it needs a death animation for when bob and greg die
add rooms that don't have enemies, but things like puzzles like mazes. would love to see it.
Love you man! Keep up the amazing work❤
Lovely editing. The pacing is excellent. Good luck with the game :)
Also if you don’t add a potato peeler weapon this game will fail. This is the truth
a potato peeler in an office lol
The editing goes crazy
this feature is really bringing your game to new heights
Suggestion: a large maze room made out of cubicles. I get confused about which way goes where in some offices so maybe that feeling could be recreated as an actual maze, potentially with a couple enemies or a secret room or item or something
Honestly, would be fun if theres collectables and friends, like office pets. And a rest spot like lunch room!
i really love these devlogs
You should make death animations for when you kill the enemies in the game, or at least make it more obvious that they died, because right now it looks like they just disappear and have the exact same glow thingy as when they just take damage.
9:51 Nice to meet you In Control!
you could make a sticky note weapon that kinda acts like a land mine but splatters ink or something from it to stun or deal damage to the enemy
Amazing work, I think you could add short timer on TV screen when it's landing
What if the monitor/grenade`s screen cracked on impact, just a little idea
You know it’s going to be a good day when daynum uploads
Not sure if you were planning to do this already but you should add a red outline to bobs fists when he’s attacking
We need elevator music and a random chance for another person to enter and press a button. Please.
The office tours really turning into an ARG
Melee weapon idea! A mouse flail that you spin around yourself using the wire and hit enemies with the mouse
The artwork is incredible!
"The elevator system works floorlessly." ;)
(btw: I like the rotational animation of the tvs a lot, looks nice!)
5:00 it's called a crt
Random crt
Might seem like an extra, but I think making the decorations get destroyed would add a lot to the theme and fun. Papers flying about, decks breaking, computer falling and blue screening. Also an hr employed named linda who throw the book at you would be hilarious.
