He doesn't want to guest on Joe Rogan podcast because Joe said that Pride paid them in cash. Basically accused them of tax fraud.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think I remember someone asking him about going to Joe Rogans podcast and I think he said he doesn't wanna go.
That Kongo/Cro Cop fight was one of Big John's worst moments as a ref. He knee'd Cro Cop in the balls multiple times and Big John did nothing.

Mirko Cro Cop comes from a little town in Croatia, Vinkovci (population around 30.000) and he said in one interview that there are a couple of guys in his hometown that he would avoid getting into a fist fight. Such a humble and honest guy.
Cro Cop respects every fighter. He said it many times in his interviews

True story. My high school was located on the westside of Zagreb, capital city of Croatia. Next to school was an apartment house with a bar on ground floor. They used to play turbo folk music, (unfortunately) very popular in Balkan region. Places like that were often visited by shady people, gold digging women, basically involving street shit overall. Midnight had passed and while playing music very loud the bar phone rang. One of the residents called and had aksed politely to quiten the music, because they had a little baby and it couldn't sleep. The bar kept playing music like nothing happened. This dude called the bar for the second time. Nothing. Few minutes later he showed up at the entrance door with a Pekinese in his arms. Didn't say a word, just stood still. The music had shut down instantly and all the customers started to exit the bar. You don't have to guess twice who came in visit.. 😂

I think people forget about Ernesto Hoost aka Mr. Perfect. He could right in the pocket, lean back and end with a leg kick very close to his opponent. That man is a beast.

You find it weird that every MMA fighter that comes to his show wants to talk about Cro Cop ? Mirko is a trailblazer, one of the OGs that made the modern era possible. Everyone respects that man and you can expect Joe to mention it some more in the future with somebody else.

Fedor is not human. I remember when he got caught by Kevin Randleman's perfect Suplex, and on the floor, Fedor reverse and apply a kimura 1 minute after. Another day in the office.

Crocop was never big in the UFC, he came in there already old. His prime was K1 and PRIDE.
@@unwokeneuropean3590 It wasn't just the age, it was knee surgeries, bicep injury, etc. And lack of experience with movement in the octagon, fought his whole life in the ring. Also, horrible coaches, one of them was a former overrated boxer and the other was a fitness guru that knew nothing about MMA.

The most impressive fact for me, in the Fedor vs Mirko fight, was how Fedor read and forecasted every Mirko's intension and reacted properly. Brilliant.

@deangoings maybe he could maybe he couldn't. We will never know. For every kickboxer that tried mma back in the day and found success, there was one who tried and failed. Cro Cop's specific style of stand up worked well in mma combined with the fact developed outstanding takedown defence. For Hoost to have succeeded in mma he would have to learn to defend the takedown.
