    I love how you said “fed is best” because there are some “Karen’s” that want to add their 2 cents in when it’s not necessary. I breast feed, but for the first month I pumped then gave him the bottle because my nipples bled so bad. Whatever works for mom and baby honestly. People need to stop with their unsolicited advice.

      When you first breast feed it hurts so bad !! Especially if the baby isn’t latching in right .. just ask for help and I ended up breastfeeding for 1 year

    Tip Nas: when pulling out the bottle of the baby's mouth, please twist while pulling it out, if not it can create lots of air in his tummy

    She’s still breastfeeding. Just because she’s not feeding him directly from the breast, doesn’t mean you’re not breastfeeding anymore. He’s still getting your breast milk. It’s the same thing.

    You said what so many moms are scared to say. You’re not selfish because you want help from other people, it really does take a village. You’re not a bad mom because you don’t LOVE breast feeding, you’re not neglectful if you want some alone time.
    I loved this and by the way I just found your channel and you are seriously one of the most gorgeous women I’ve ever seen

      In ancient times, all the females in the village took care of the newborn baby. That is why they had so many babies because it wasn’t so taxing on the one mother taking care of the newborn.

    I love that you’re so open and clear on communication. However we don’t need to know all that girl! We don’t need an explanation! You have a REAL life and are a REAL person. You have a whole nugget now that requires a lot of your time! If you have to film videos in advance once a month and then schedule them that’s perfectly understandable!!!! STOP feeling the need to explain yourself and give disclaimers 🧡 we understand. And tbh like you said, we probably won’t even notice you’re taking a break if you preform videos 💙

    I’m so glad Naz has this platform to educate people with no babies yet. People really don’t understand the real that comes with being a Mother but you’re definitely trying to educate younger people and trying to give them an actual look into the life of a mother cause it is SO much work and not glamorous as people think.💙

    Some people in these comments are so rude, if Naz didn’t say that she was taking a break and pre filming videos y’all wouldn’t have even know cause she’s been posting regularly. Imagine being a first time mom working 7 days a week also being quarantined. Don’t comment on the way a mother takes care of their children as long as their baby is happy and fed and the mom feels like they’re doing a job that’s all that matters. I’m not a mom but when I do become one I can’t even imagine being a mom on social media. You’re doing a great job Naz as a mom let alone a first time mom Von seems happy and healthy from all the photos and videos you choose to share. I’m grateful you’re sharing your life as a mom and all the pros and cons of being a mom. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🤍

    If we have learnt anything from the current situation, it is the realization that everything around us is so temporary... Life is so fragile.. The material activities we were attached to, like going to a movie, dining at a favorite restaurant, shopping, socializing with friends, fun outings have become far-fetched now.. All this makes us realize the value of life, our time with our loved ones and the preciousness of the current moment! We should emerge out of this wiser, kinder, loving and being more in the moment! Make the best of every living moment! Spread love and kindness always! Touch as many hearts as possible with your kindness and love! That’s all that matters in this life!

    Love how informative this video is Naz💖Not everyone has the same experiences in motherhood! My son is 8 months and exclusively breastfed and we still cosleep! However sometimes I wish I would’ve done things differently because I never get time to myself , it’s difficult to even leave to the store because my son is so attached to my breast. He will refuse bottles so bottle feeding isn’t even an option! I love the bond tho , it’s beautiful and I love being so close to him 💖 My point is, no way is the better way! There’s no strict rules to motherhood , as long as your baby is fed and loved that’s all that matters. You’re doing an amazing job , love these videos 🥰

      Just wanted to say my daughter is 9 months and exclusively breastfed. She will not take a bottle whatsoever! I too wish I would of introduced the bottle more to her in the beginning. I love breastfeeding tho but I completely agree! Just know someone out there is going through the same thing as you😭❤️

    • @teresamontez671
      @teresamontez671 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was in the same boat. My goal was to breastfeed my daughter till she turned one but I got a little frustrated not being able to do things because she ALWAYS wanted to be on my breast so I tried to introduce the bottle around 3 or 4 months but nope I bought almost every bottle there is and rejected all of them , tried again but with a sippy cup at 1 .. no way , I couldn’t stand hearing her cry until she couldn’t breath finally tried again on May 1st cold turkey, at 22 months old and she didn’t even cry ! 18 days of no breastfeeding ! Definitely a bittersweet moment tho.

      Omg yes!! My baby is exclusively breastfed and he is 11 months! I wish I would’ve introduced it and kept going with it but I got PPD/PPA so I felt like pumping and breastfeeding all day was doing so much and when he was two weeks I tried formula and he hated it! So I’m still here and I have definitely learned from this baby. Like just barely he has been leaving my side even if its for a few hours his grandma has been taking him and let me just say it feels so good because I have been with him for 10 months straight & I needed that break

    THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I just had my baby two weeks ago and I was having such a hard time with latching. Like you said breastfeeding was so stressful for me and the baby, not the magical moment where oxytocin is released lol. I'm pumping all day everyday as well and feel this has made all of us so much happier. I love seeing you bring awareness to this decision to pump. You go girl!!!! Can you do a video on your pumping essentials/schedule/how to keep milk supply up?

  • @NishutiP
    @NishutiP 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just had to pause and comment on how important and refreshing what you said what about bottle feeding was. It's so nice to hear about how you were promoting mental health for mothers, being a working mother, sharing responsibilities (we often put the burden entirely on women) and for being so comfortable with your decisions. It just makes me feel much more at ease thinking about motherhood (even though I'm not planning on having kids) as opposed to the nightmare stories we hear about mothers being overworked, tired and not supported. ❤️

    When I saw the IG stories with Naz's reply to these comments, I thought "Maybe in the video she said some misleading things or was being defensive when she talked and that's why people got so upset". Then I watch this video and I think Naz is patient enough and wants to share with her followers, so she explains her decisions when she totally does not have to, and people still have the audacity to criticize? God bless Naz for her patience and for putting up with all of that. This job is absolutely not for everybody.

      Yesssss! I wasn’t producing anything, pumping just drained me because i couldn’t even fill 2oz bottles, and it was draining me emotionally, and on top i instantly got postpartum depression, i know some moms tried to help but it’s like they wanted me to freaken forcefully bf, like... what? i’m happy you did what made you more comfortable, if my other pregnancies and afterbirths go differently and i’m able to bf that’s ok, if not that’s ok too!

    I 100% encourage everything you said. I am having the same story but in a different way. Gave birth 5 days ago and from the very first day my baby didn't latch properly. I live in Australia, many midwives, lactation consultants came to help my baby and I with latching but it just didn't work. She would suck for 5 seconds and then stop again, remove her head or start crying. I felt very anxious, guilty, blamed myself and all I was doing was crying. Eventually we started giving her my expressed colostrum and top up with formula. After watching your video I am encouraged more to just pump and give my milk by bottle just like you as long as it's breast milk and baby is eating something and growing, I am happy.
    Thanks for sharing this amazing video Naz. You are awesome mum to Kavon. You do whatever works best for you and your child. All the best xx

    You're very open and honest and have been even before pregnancy but even more so when it comes to talking about being a first time mom. I'm currently pregnant and will be a first time mom as well so it's helpful to hear about other women's experiences. You're doing what is best for you and for your son, you're both happier and that's what matters at the end of the day. No one else's opinion matters and everyone should keep in mind that what works for one mama may not work for others and that's okay! Keep doing what you're doing, Von is getting what he needs no matter how you choose to feed him.

      I wouldn’t be comfortable with having my daughter sleeping in a separate room from me. Especially since she wakes up to eat in the night I would HATE to have to go to another room to take care of her . I co sleep she sleeps in the bed with my husband and I in the middle with a docatot and we’ve never had any problem with squishing her or anything she sleeps up higher and my husband and I sleep lower on the bed . It’s the best choice I’ve made cuz if anything I just wake up and have her at hands reach or she wakes up and sees momma and poppa right there and never has to be scared or anything .

    Naz from one mommy to another🥰🥰 YOU ARE 100% right!! FED IS BEST!!! Von is still getting mommas milk and thats all that matters!!! From a mommy who breast fed for 18.5 months on the breast and pumping-You STILL are breast feeding!! Pumping is a full time job in itself!! Pay no attention to any negativity, you are doing amazing!! Also what you are doing with babyboy when you remove the bottle is called “paced bottle feeding” and is actually exactly how you are supposed to feed a breastfed baby with a bottle🥰🥰 Awesome job mama!!

    can’t speak for everybody but i know a lot of the mommy vloggers/influencers i follow are stay at home moms whose methods and opinions are fit for their lifestyle. obviously everybody does what’s best for them and their family but i appreciate a lot of your choices centering around the fact that you’re a person too! having your baby sleep with you, breastfeeding are all things super vital in the mommy community that they all SWEAR by but no one discusses the cons to them. i appreciate your perspectives naz, definitely teaching me so much when i have a baby of my own

    Omg I thought I was the only one with this problem. I was literally stressed and also my baby as well because of how I would breastfeed her and would start crying and getting angry all the time but I'm glad I ended up pumping and giving her my milk instead of breastfeeding her. So she's happy and I'm happy with how we're bonding with feeding now. Thank you Naz for this video this made me feel so much better, knowing that there are other mom's out there who's gone through the same thing. You're right "fed is best" 😊 as long as my baby is getting fed and happy then I'm happy 😊😘❤️

    you’re a great mama! i agree with you 100000%, my little man is 13 months and there is always judgement around mothering but at the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you, your baby & family! 💙 thank you for being so genuine. you’re doing a great job!

    I stopped breastfeeding too! Because I had post partum depression - and BOTH my children would receive my negative energy and be all moody so I opted for formula! STILL DOESNT MAKE US LESS OF A MOM!!! You’re doing great 💗💗💗💗

    I started pumping and bottle feeding as soon as I came home from the hospital. My baby's latch was so bad my nipples were bruised and cracked and It was EXTREMELY painful to feed her. Breastfeeding is fr a full time job and im glad you made this video bc I was feeling guilty and felt as if I was taking away from our bonding. Its nice to know im not the only one❤

    As a new first time mom, this video made me feel so much better. My newborn is having a hard time latching on and he gets to angry and fussy. Watching this video truly made me feel better because I was also thinking of pumping and bottle feeding him like you. I was starting to feel like a bad mother for not breastfeeding. But like you said “fed is best”. Absolutely love watching your videos & Kavon is so beautiful. Congratulations to you & Mel ! & thank you again for this helpful video as all of your videos always are!❤️

    As a (1st time) breast feeding mama I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND 👏🏽👏🏽 My daughter is now 11 months old and with all honesty I was about to give up breast feeding altogether when she was 3 months old. Everyone around me were shaming me & tried encouraging formula, but I did everything I could to void their opinions. Looking back I’m glad I didnt and watching other yt mothers really kept me going. I applaud you for yours and Von’s experience! It gets easier eventually. Proud of you Naz ♥️

    Girl I hear you on the whole reason why you feel more comfortable pumping over breast feeding. I’m going through the same exact with my son. It’s crazy because breast feeding was so different with my daughter and this time around I’m going through the same exact thing you went through. In the beginning I was so hard on myself because I kept comparing breast feeding with my son to how it was with my daughter but then I learned and accepted that it’s not always the same with every baby. I honestly agree and back you up 100% with what you said!!! Btw he is soo cute god bless him! Our baby are a month apart :)

    Bottle feeding breast milk is still absolutely breastfeeding. They aren't drinking formula so what else would it be? People are crazy I swear. I pumped and fed with my last baby and if I have another one, I will do the same thing. I agree that breastfeeding on the breast isn't always as much of a huge bonding time as people try to act like it is. It may be for some people, but it's perfectly normal for other mothers to not feel that way. Something about that "suckling" feeling made my skin crawl, especially when they are super sore. My daughter and I still have an amazing bond because we were still bonding during her feedings, playing, cuddling, etc.

    I remember I used to get hot flashes in the first two months when I was breast-feeding my son so I know exactly what you mean. But now that the hot flashes are gone I actually prefer breast-feeding over bottlefeeding. It’s just so much easier for me I don’t have to keep warming up and preparing a bottle of milk for my son.
