"...A lot of driving around in circles till someone crashes..." I think he missed the point somehow with Scalextric there. There was in fact much more fun to it than that; not least Scalextric cars don't just run round in a convoy like I see so many modern real life racing cars doing.
You haven’t answered his question? How does the app know if you modified and added on more tracks. The answer is, it doesn’t.. you can only set a preinstalled track that is closest to how you modified it.. which is pretty crap
Your microphone volume is really low guys, so audio is poor, can barely hear you without turning my speaker volume right up.
Actually, you can use the older Scalextric "Classic" parts using a converter piece of track. As always they must be in a good nick, otherwise cars will slow down or even stop. The slot depth of the classic track is not as deep but guide blades/flags can be trimmed the 1-2 mm to make them fit. So as long as the track bits are in good condition, they can be user with ARC.
Is this track rubber like the old track or is it plastic ?
Even the old track is plastic; it's just a bit flexible. I think that does cause problems as that's why over time they warped and you had to replace it once in a while. I hope the new track is more resilient; it's supposed to be.
