Rob's range is incredible. One of the greatest vocalists of the modern age.

Yeah the phone videos do not do it justice. They sounded so fucking good live it was amazing. Robs voice could be clearly heard over all the music which is hard at a big metal show. Lot of shows the vocals kind of get drowned out but Rob was front and centre amazing.

Bit disappointing to see Rob actually miming at points though. That was a surprise!

I don't get why, he does the same notes in the end of the songs w. his regular voice. It's an effect thing? I know he used that for 'Halls of Valhalla' on the last tour. Not miming, but echo and enhanced effects, making it seem more powerful for an arena. A lot of artists does it. I don't "defend" it, but it's not a new thing unfortunatly. Halford is approaching 70, and he rest is epic, and facts are, his voice has not been the same after 2001/2002. He screamed his ass off during the first Halford-years. His voice was best in 1988 on the 'Mercenaries of Metal/Ram It Down' tour. Some critisize it as he screamed too much, night after night, ruining his voice. His voice was shot for the 1990 leg of the 'Painkiller' tour, not as bad as on the 'Nostradamus' tour though. His voice was epic in 1991 again and Rob went out w. a bang before leaving for 12 years.

Probably because there's so much layering to be honest. I'm kinda sad about it too, but clearly its not because he struggles. Its gotta be an effects thing, because he makes it through Painkiller and Saints in Hell with almost no problems at all.

ScreamingDoug it’s in the recorded version, they always use the sound effects from the record in their live performances. It’s actually pulled straight from the Screaming for Vengeance song.

The band is not the same anymore, without KK and Glenn it´s nothing :(

Christian speak for yourself, I was there and had no complaints.

Maybe you´re right, it´s just not so easy when you are used to a band and the members, to see and hear something new, everyone is growing older so in some cases it´s impossible to continue and that is of course a reality, I don´t complain about the new album, it´s great music ... now the new members have to prove that they can play and be Judas Priest :)

Glenn still wrote and recorded at least half of Firepower. He also has been playing some selected shows live, like 3 songs (he can't do it longer it seems).
