i know the breathing techniques are just visuals for the viewers and dont actually produce flames etc, but in that context stuff like muichiro's obscuring mist confuse me so much, like how would that work if it's only for the looks
Actually mist breathing was originally created by Muichiro and if you pay attention to the episode when Muichiro was training we can see mist coming out of him. He calls forms to his attack styles but the mist comes from his own body.

The real weapons of muzan are akaza and kokushibo , other are just toy to him they dead or not he don't care anymore , but problem was guyntaro was better fighter in term of gyokko , he was good at combats but gyokko have unique power like his touch can make anything into fish like but he doesn't have battle IQ which akaza , kokushibo and gyuntaro have , upper 4 also good at spamming power but if you told me in battle muichiro also capable of behead upper 4 just like upper 5 , just he will require more time to do it, upper 5 was busy in his story how he look great and other, so much self centred during battle that's what killed him , muichiro was powerful but gyokko able to give him good fight but battle sense and gyokko are worst enemy of each other.
