oh man the dumpling incident... they always tell the story as a funny joke but w the snippets they have told us we can tell it was a really big thing for them and probably a lot of hurtful things were said. taehyung is definitely a jazzy boy, he LOVES jazz and classical music. he’ll share song recs with us on his ig story or on live lol. his voice suits jazz music beautifully and i hope his solo has a little jazz in it

What I love about the two of them is that, if you pay close attention, they are always the first to compliment each other. There have been times in the past where the members were talking over Tae and Jimin stepped in to say, basically, “ HEY. V was talking.” According to RM, they also stick up for each other. “Oh I’m sure, Taehyung/Jimin would never…” Their friendship goes deep and you can see them communicate with just a look. Yes, they still annoy the hell out of each other at times, but that connection never seems to waver. The dumpling incident had almost nothing to do with the actual dumpling - that’s just what brought everything to a head. It needed to happen so they could clear the air and be open with each other. I love their friendship, as complicated as it may be.
I love that jimin said 4 hours, tae said 2 days and when they were together he said 2 weeks! who know, honestly 😂
(4 o’clock is so so beautiful to me. I love the contrast between namjoon and tae’s voices. They have very similar personality types (E/I NFP if you’re into the MBTI tests) and complement each other really well in songs and lyrics, I find. I have a personal theory that RM’s mono song Moonchild might have been inspired by his verse here? “I call you moon child, we are children of the moon”? He also references the famous movie Moonlight in his lyrics.)

According to JK the dumpling incident was repackaged for us as a funny episode when in reality it was pretty serious and tense then 😂 It needs a documentary of its own! OMGD, the dumpling incident, the kitchen scissor argument (continues to this day) , Mint Chocolate Ice Cream debate (still a big thing- RM leading the argument) Jimin and JK's 'Rainy Day' fight, the banana incident (still brought up to this day JK & Jhope), Jin & V's 'faster' tiff, I know there are more just can't think of them right now. Basically the boys fight and argue like the rest of us, they are human but love between the members ALWAYS prevails!

All my faves this time! Snow flower is my fave Tae original song. It has that classic timeless feel and is just such a good tune and Peakboy sounds great, too. You can definitely here the development in Tae’s voice and tone in his Christmas cover. That song fits his vibe and his best vocal range so well! He does love jazz and I’m hoping kth1 will be a jazz album. Tae played sax in school and has recently been learning trumpet. He also loves Chet Baker, also one of my faves ❤. His dog, Yeontan, is a Pomeranian.

On the other side we have v talking to namjoon. And then they finally meet at a park. BUT the timeline is not clear. Also a while back, jk was watching that suchwita episode on live and he said that they have told us a very watered down version of it. Atp, the dumpling incident is one of the biggest mysteries in boraland(purple land) . Ppl have been hoping that they might explain it from each of the members perspective in their memoir that is coming out on july 9th(armys birthday)

Woo hoo you did 4 o clock tks! It is a song to sleep to. I used to put it on a 1 hour loop at bedtime. Vmin is also one of my faves. Such a sweet friendship. And yeah the timeline is a bit confusing. I think the argument went off and on for a few hours. Then a couple days not talking? Not sure about the 2 weeks.

I feel like one distinct characteristic to tae’s songs are the section of long instrumentals. Theyre in most of his solo songs and even in blue & grey. I love it (and so does jin)

in Korea people refer to same aged people as "friends" that's why Jimin says he has one friend in BTS even though they all consider each other brothers etc and are friends how we westerners understand it. it's sometimes confusing when you see it in translation. in Korean you would even refer to stranger as a friend when he is the same age
Loui I just want to thank you. I've heard all BTS songs and read the lyrics and translations to most of them but watching your reaction videos makes me re-discover a lot of songs and their meanings. I always interpreted 4 o'clock's "Why are you crying, when it’s only me and you here" hands on, kind of accusatory. But when you read it I realized it could also mean "how did I make you cry" in a loving way. I love folowing your journey as I too learn a lot from it.

it's important to note that whenever vmin refer to each other as friends yes they mean it in the sense we know but also, because of the age hierarchy culture in korea, to be close to someone your same age is even more special than having friends of other ages, so the word friend in korean has a heavier, more important meaning. so for example when jimin says "i never had friends before" he means same-age friends, not that he never talked to anyone until he was 18 or smth lol and he points it out cause it's an important bond that koreans want to have.
the same is true if you ever read namjoon and hoseok refer to each other as friends, they mean same-age friends, tho compared to vmin they're chill LOL
