The new universal head seemed to work well . Looking forward to seeing the end product. Good luck with your power situation .

Afternoon Doug sounds like a cool project. Poor aluminum never had a chance. Go ahead and insert music track “Rise of the Valkyrie”. LOL.
Fan noise was very modest. A/C in the shop ….how decadent LOL.

Hi Doug, nice closeups of the milling. I'd be interested to know the conclusion to the power outage. 80A in the shop, 100A on the feed from the house. Cables hot. What the heck were you running there ?? I'm not sure if both overload breakers were circuit breaker types rather than hot fuse wire but I know from experience that the hot wire type have a large overload capacity and are not very sensitive. A 13A fuse link in a plug here can draw 20A and not melt the link but a miniature circuit breaker of the same rating would trip out long before that. Cheers

Any corrosion in your wire causing excess resistance? The start up draw can spike the amps over your capacity maybe? Hope you get it sorted out soon. Looking forward to seeing the conclusion.
