My dad found his lawnmower on the side of the highway about 25 years ago now. He's rebuilt it 4 times, the stubbornness of this man is unrivaled
Every lawn mower I've ever owned were ones I've found by the curb or in the alley. They usually get thrown away because of something dumb and simple such as a broken pull cord or varnish in the carb float bowl. Most people are either too lazy or stupid to fix it themselves and it costs less to buy a new one than to pay someone else to fix it. My current two are Frankenstein mowers that I built out of parts from other found trash mowers I've fixed, used up, and ran into the ground. Once these ones are used up, I can harvest the good parts to fix or build another one and keep the cycle going.

I'd like to see this. Might I recommend Fruity Pebbles. It's little flakes if cereal that won't matter if it gets a bit crushed. Plus the absolute unnatural bright colors make people cringe whenever you want it in front of them.

The promise is simple: you need to make a machine so that when you insert a coin or a bill it dispenses seeds. The birds need to learn that money + this machine = food, so they'll give you any bill/coin they spot in the floor. Time for the big money.

I was concerned when he mentioned taking the guard off the lawn mower so the blade could be seen. Turns out it isn’t really a “guard” sure it has a convenient side effect of stopping Debris being thrown. But it’s real purpose is to redirect air flow so that the grass is pulled tight upright and cuts rather than the grass just flopping over out of the blades way.

Working from the perimeter inward is the best way to cut grass. As the grass gets pushed into the center of the lawn you can go over the cut grass repeatedly to mulch it down.

His skating abilities makes me think of one of my Short Track Speed Skating heroes: Steven Bradbury, the only Australian Winter Olympics Gold Metalist. He won because everyone fell in front of him, that makes him a hero to me
I used a Sabertooth 2x35 amp speed controller on my mower to control the motors in mixed mode. I also went into the settings on my RC controller and changed the Exponential settings to values which reduced the center stick sensitivity quite a bit. Doing this allows you to ease up and slow crawl the mower without having to lightly flick the stick to keep control. THis is a huge improvement and you need to look into it. My FPV gear is all 5.8mHz and micro sized vs. a big bulky GoPro. I also chose to use a 30 Ahr. Lithium Iron Phosphate battery instead of lead acid. Much more steady voltage, thousands of charge cycles and a huge weight reduction.

ive been thinking bout this so much. i build fpv drones and a couple of small rover bots that people can control over the internet. Ive been thinking of putting a line on a motor and having peopel mow the lawn for me over the internet. could be disastrous. definitely fun.
