The last about 4/5 of his films have all been pretty poor, and he hasn't done much acting in them at all, and no action whatsoever, so it is time he retired, best thing for him really!

Where do you live that forms of dementia have a “ stigma”? It’s a medical condition that occurs in many forms, requires intervention and support, is devastating to the patient and loved ones, and is nobody’s fault. There is no such thing as plain old dementia. As unique as the brain it’s affecting. Poor man .

In some ways its the challenge of the youth - age development advanced by injury - results in slower speed. So why do we elect and follow politicians/media in years above standard retirement of 65? Seriously - I am mid 50s. I felt slower memory replacement in the early 40s. Wisdom though is probably 45 or so.

For those of us familiar with the diagnosis of Aphasia, this announcement was really odd. Aphasia is a language disorder caused by damage in a specific area of the brain that controls language expression and comprehension. The typical cause is stroke. It would have made more sense for whoever made the announcement to the public, that Bruce had a stroke or whatever the underlying cause was. Aphasia in itself is a result of brain damage or deterioration. Either way, I am sorry for Bruce, and his family, however glad he has support.
