The world needs much more Indian fusion, Indian funk and Indian experimental. Never forget, this culture, along with Africa's, prepared the ground for the best music we have today.
This is like listening to a mix of RTF, 1970s Corea, Mahavishnu and John McLaughlin Trio all at once. It's clear that every member from those groups has influenced these absolutely world class talents. I'm entirely convinced that the future of jazz is in capable hands. This is just phenomenal... Thank you all SO MUCH for playing this beautiful composition for us.
OMG this was freakin AWESOME what an inspiration! I'm 61 trying to learn how to play guitar & bass and I've never experience such great musicians. Mohini you are such an outstanding talent thanks for putting joy in my heart. I want to learn so much with my bass...💙🙏🎼🎵👏
Louiz, It's not Jazz, not funk, not acid, not progressive. Dare I call it Neo-classical? Yes, I dare. Beethoven should be ashamed. I have been missing this music since Herbie, since Chick, since Al D, since Joe and Stanley and Bitches Brew and Mahavishnu. It was always hanging out there somewhere in the Ethos, but somehow few noticed. Thanks for bringing it back home. You've made me a happy man,
Couldn't be prouder of our Bombay/Indian musicians! Amazing talent! Louiz Banks , we grew up in your shadows. A giant among musicians! I am one myself, live in the USA. Keep on blowing our minds with your compositions. Yes, Timeless.
I'd add Mekaal Hasan Band to that list ;-). Gino the drummer here features on their last album "Andholan": It's not an instrumental album though, I've added a link below if you're interested :). Cheers th-cam.com/video/k6Ia3O2jl2Q/w-d-xo.html
I lost my comments after hearing these passionate people creating something beautiful..happy that we have sense of hearing as it’s such a beautiful world
Mr. Banks... you are an inspiration for musicians in India. I loved the performance... you are the godfather and mascot of Indian Jazz movement....we love you :)
Sir am a boy from the state odisha...and for me drums are very fascinating but my financial condition is not so well that I would get into learning drums.....sir.please advice..me...that,what shall I do????
Well let me say that I've been a fan of you since I was a baby (literary). I heard moonlight, moonlight in Goa, etc and let me just say that you have won the hearts of everyone and including audiofiles which is the hardest for any musicians. Good work!
Louiz Banks, we are almost into 2019. The 28 of December 2018. 10:30 pm at night Eastern Time zone North America. And I am just being introduced to you and these very talented musicians. I really enjoyed this composition. Continued blessings and success. Detroit Michigan USA Bassist Mike G
There's no word for me to define my stunned reaction while watching and listening to this superb performance. Got goosebumps all the way! Loads of respect to you sir, and the rest of the maestros 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍
It's always a great pleasure to listen to any setup when Louis banks is involved, seen a few shows with different guys,Recently louis performed in Goa with Braz and LOUIS cannot believe the energy you still have to perform. Its was Braz show but you bought soo much life into the show, with your playing as well as your humour..God Bless you Maestro...
Daymnnn the drummer at his solo part..mind boggiling.....all performed well but the drums especially the solo daymnnn....out of reach...it's like an alien taking n playing the drums while the drummer was hypnotized.....
Mohini, your regard for balance amongst the total blend of volume and dynamics of this entire treaties of 'Timeless' indicates willingness to share the stage and exhibition with your fellow maestros. Kudos m'lady! Music is more than self and singular expression of art. Congratulations for bringing the larger world into your fold by showing restraint and dynamics to this Timeless tune. Such mastery deserves acknowledgement and appreciation for your skill and mentors. You're love of music as a collaboration between masters is on display and plays well with your peers. I really appreciate you with your drum and percussion partners. KUDOS!
The bassist is purely raw talent and is going to listed as one of the top 2 greats of all time. thank you Les Paul for the electric stuff. I just happen to hear a upfront performance with a talented musician once and she right there with that person.

Whoooooo! This is nice, kinda Bob James style of groove. They are all " killin it". I'm just catching on to Miss Dey. Her finger do not leave the fret board. I wish i had that skill. Nice!
The drums and bass are laying down a sweet pocket for the rest of the band. Delicious the combination Cajon and Bongos. Never heard that grouping before. Very nice indeed!!!!!!
Just close your eyes and slip away. Mohini plays like a any seasoned Professional Bassist I have heard and I am damn sure any Bass player out there will just love what you doing. All class and talent! Wow!!!
Great to see Mr Banks again! I got a chance to play with him a few times in my late teens in New Delhi back in the early 70's when living there. Great musician! :)
Yes..I could see Metheny Lyle May's sitting in the audience watching this..oh and knowing Sir Chicorea & John Pettituchi also digging the absolute Marvelous Indian cuisine played out beautifully before their eyes!!@@ Yea baby!
Louis Banks, you're insight and understandings of art and artists is inspiring and humbling at the same instant. Thank you, thank you, maestro... your interior God is and remains our blessing. Nasmaste, Mr. Banks, nasmaste! Jai Guru Dev.
I was on you tube searching for some Parliament Funkadelic and I came across this. My world has change! I just did not know this beauty existed! I cant put this into words but I know love when I here it! I will continue to explore. Oh by the way each instrument was spectacular and that Bass....OMG!
This entire production is incredibly well done! Let’s not forget the unseen support given to an awesome sound mix and final cut. Staging, lighting, camera work and editing carry us along to meet the players and give homage to the solos so seamlessly and generously! I give it a 10 in all respects. It’s in several of my UTube library folders and numerous contacts email attachments. Namaste para todos. Otto knows best.
I always come back to these players they are the new ones so the Young Guns this guy reminds me of Billy Cobham the band is incredible I don’t even know what to tell you
Best Jazz fusion I have heard in a while. Insane talent from everyone on the set. Bass and Sitar was especially crazy! I'd spend money to hear more of this.
This is beyond words. Simply phenomenal each and everyone. For the ones of you who gave thumbs down, please do yourself a favor and have your brain checked. Or if you have any kind of decency in you, and you simply don’t understand this music, please have respect for the ones who do, and stop giving your thumb down. There are so many videos with Taylor Swift on you tube, might be more up your alley....
the music is awesome specially the gem of the group mohini. she is just terrific. her hands moved on the chords like electricity..loved the performance of each and every body. hoping to hear more from u people. God Bless u all
I saw Ravi Shankar in c. 1969 again some years later and his last tour with Anoushka. Allah Raka played tabla. Total blessing. The telepathy of Indian rhythm is insane.

Sensational Indian jazz fusion. Blown away by the incredible musicianship. Up there with the best of them. Keep producing these gems.
I don't know what to even say about this music. But I couldn't stop listening to it. Some fine musicians here.
Incredible song played by amazingly talented musicians. I reckon that this should be one of the greatest bands in history!
I'm adding this to my usual Mahavishnu/Return To Forever playlist. WHAT A BAND! Came for Mohini, stayed for the rest.
I'd add Mekaal Hasan Band to that list ;-). Gino the drummer here features on their last album "Andholan": It's not an instrumental album though, I've added a link below if you're interested :). Cheers

What I could sum up after this is, music speaks no specific language, and it really has no religion. Speechless totally !!
I love you Mohini Bey for your dedication to traditional sounds and fusion to new, oblique, terms. Namaste, lady yea, my heart sings with yours.
All from West Bengal...Louis Bank from Darjeeling n Mohini from Kolkata....
