Kundalini Meditation for Removing Fear

  • Using the ancient science of Kundalini Yoga, Karena describes this wonderful meditation for moving past the grip of fear, and into the radiant shining divinity that is truly who we are.     Thanks for writing. Yes, In the science of kundalini yoga, the thumb represents our ego. When there is fear in our minds, our thumbs can tighten. It's the mind body connection. Quite amazing. Fear is also connected to tightness in the hips.

      It's different for every person. Some can be born with it, some need to work more for it, some might never achieve it. Meditation is a useful tool but not necessary. And it being "dangerous," I'm sure anything you do can be considered dangerous, but not a Kundalini meditation like this if done the way she is describing.

    My first time. It is a bit difficult to hold on to. The hands. Looks easy. But isn't. I can see the effect though, when I come back to the prayer position after all that exercise. I really am grateful to the universe and you Ms Virginia. Thank you.

    Wow.. This was a very powerful meditation, thank you so much for sharing this. I truly believe this meditation will change a life of fear, and bring awareness to that pattern in life. My right thumb is quivering and my left thumb "pops"is this attributed to feminine/masculine aspects in life I wonder..?

    I sucked my thumb for years throughout my childhood, does this show that my mind & body was full of fear? I've suffered anxiety continually during my teenage years. Would this Kundalini style of yoga be the most curing for my system?

      I also sucked my thumb for a very long time and I found kundalini yoga very nurturing for me. There are many reasons why people suck their thumb. One being the comfort we get from pressing into the upper palate of the mouth.

      I do not believe it has a title. It was taught by Yogi Bhajan in the 1990's. If you do find a title, please share with us!

      Let your thoughts be whatever they are and work on focusing on your breathing to help erase negative thoughts.
