    EPISODE 152
In this episode we follow a (slightly stressful) day in the boatyard, catching up on the dozens of jobs currently in progress - from the galley to the deck furniture, the rudder, the winches, and so much more. We meet riggers and spar-builders, and even Gandalf the grey stops in to say hi.

That’s probably Leo’s generosity and an effort to keep such craftsmen around. They most likely have bills and lodging and many other responsibilities so they need something to enable them to stick around. All of them could make a fortune with their skills elsewhere so I think the love of the project and respect for Leo keeps them.

Of all the things that impress me about this project the attention to detail stands out. All too often projects of this magnitude can start in a rush where rough enough is good enough. And only towards the end does precision matter. The attention to quality towards the end of this project is consistent with that of the beginning.

      Dear Cur M.
👍👌👏 Truer words have never been spoken! I hope that great Leo Sampson Goolden will have his own little but high quality shipyard in the future. Of course it must leave him enough time to set sail with Tally Ho from time to time. I really don't know what his plans are. Maybe he just wants to sail and fix boats on different locations in the world? He absolutely loves to work with wood and sometimes we viewers can see how much he misses it. Anyway: I really hope and pray that he will never stop making these awesome videos.
Best regards, luck and health in particular.

I absolutely love this channel, the crew, the project…I feel personally invested in it and I’ve never even seen the boat or met anyone working on the boat. The videos bring me joy, unlike so much of the worlds so called “entertainment”.
Leo has to be one of the hardest working individuals on you tube. Always self introduced as a “boat builder and a sailer”, but in truth, he is so much more. He’s a both a boat builder and sailer, but he’s a documentary film maker, a producer, a camera man, an editor. He also is a CEO, CFO, CTO, Human Resources specialist, project coordinator, public relations specialist, accounts payable and accounts receivable specialist, supply manager, and historian. Leo is a craftsman and detail wood worker on top of all this. It’s remarkably impressive the talent and skills wrapped up in this one person. And of course, it can only be accomplished because of his Passion. When you have passion, all those skills not directly tied to the thing you’re most passionate about, but necessary to accomplish that which you are passionate about, you naturally figure them out.
Leo is essentially working 3 jobs with great skill, when he’s finished and he launches Tally Ho, that will be the best and most deserved “vacation” ever (but we all know sailing a boat and maintaining a wood boat is not a vacation LOL).
Thank you Leo for bringing us all along on this magnificent journey.

damn, wish I was a lottery winner, I would straight take care of this.
Not going to lie, this episode kind of stressed me out, but I was blown away to find out that everyone is being paid and it's not a volunteer supported operation anymore. Big props to everyone that volunteered and made such huge efforts towards this build.
It's so incredibly complicated to rebuild something this involved, and mind boggling expensive to outfit it with the most future-facing technology deployed by incredibly experienced and skilled builders (Joe systems and Pat furnishing). Sad to see Pete and Richard go, but the current crew is super invigorating and highly skilled for this phase (systems, deck and finishing)
Best of luck Leo, this has been amazing, I am now caught up and will follow along with the rest of the addicts.

I don't sail or have ever spent much time around boats, however I stumbled upon Leo's videos over 4.5 years ago and to this day I'm amazed at the fine craftmanship skills of each and every talented member of the team that ever worked on on Tally Ho. The sheer magnitude of taking on a project like this is life changing. Leo is a skilled boat builder, sailor, story teller, and now, director of some of the funniest ad's I have ever seen. One of my favorite videos is -Milling Live Oak in the Deep South - Rebuilding Tally Ho EP19, with Steve Cross. Steve is as authentic as they come.
