Basic Kriya Yoga Pranayama Technique

  • In this video I show you a Basic Kriya Yoga Practice and demonstrate the Basic Kriya Yoga Pranayama Technique, which is the foundation of all kriya yoga practice. Kriya yoga is a scientific method for opening the subtle energy channels, balancing the chakras, and charging the gross and subtle bodies with prana. As we persist in kriya yoga practice our awareness becomes progressively more interiorized in the spinal column or sushumna nadi. As we increase the flow of prana through the sushumna nadi our upper energy centers become progressively more energized, which culminates in god and self-realization.
    Kriya yoga is a self-initiatory path. There is no substitute for the consistent and daily practice of the techniques, and results are cumulative. So you may notice little change in consciousness over the course of a few weeks, but over the course of a few years of practice you can experience extraordinary transformation.

    I meditate ( not constantly ) for over 30 years and doing pranayama breathing techniques for 2 years (Ujjayi Pranayama + nadi shodhana). This is the best explanation of kriya yoga breathing I have ever seen. Thank you.

    Sir, you are doing service. Initiation. By this word, God realisation or self realisation is not reaching many of the aspirants. This knowledge has to be spread as many people as possible. But the process of initiation became a hindrance to it. Bhavan Ramana Maharshi, Goutham Budda, etc enlightened masters has no initiation. This point to be considered. Iam appriciating your service in this aspect.thank you.

      Thank you. I prayed and meditated a long time before sharing these teachings publicly. Even though many have shared them before me, I hesitated out of respect for the lineage. Soon my prayers were answered and I received confirmation and blessing from god and gurus that it was time to share Kriya more widely.
      I first learned the Kriya techniques from youtube videos. Within a few months of my daily practice Babaji initiated me in a dream.
      I have since had physical initiation, but it was redundant. The Kriya gurus continue to serve and initiate all sincere Kriya practitioners. Neither time, space, nor physical proximity is a barrier to their grace.

    Thank you so much for sharing! I have had multiple experiences like that beginning a few years ago of the blue without any spiritual background or practice. It happened together with self and god realization. Those have been profound experiences that changed me and my worldview from the ground up. I was struggling to find out what happened to me and how. I found my way through a mix of different techniques and teachings and through intuitive and self exploring practice. Those hidden teachings of all ancient cultures and techniques need to be public and shared across the planet. The abilities or siddhis that arise are incredible but also can be a distraction. The only thing that they are pointing at as I contemplated is that we literally create this reality. Each one of us is a pixel on gods infinite mindscreen and part of the bigger picture. As our consciousness starts to expand we unlock our very nature to also be able to manipulate it big time. But with power also comes responsibility. I guess that’s why this practices have been locked away and hidden for such a long time. Thank you again for sharing! God bless you! And anyone who starts realizing and walking his path. That’s the essence why we are all here 🙏!

    Thank you, Zachary. I've been looking forward to your Kriya instructional videos and I'm excited to implement this practice.
    I'm sorry if I missed this, but did you mention if there's a time of day that you recommend?
    I've been doing your nighttime/sleep guided meditation before bed and it has been helping me a lot when it comes to anchoring. I haven't been having as much weird astral activity- for a while there it was getting pretty challenging for me.
    So thank you! I've become a really big fan of the work you're putting out and appreciate it big time.
    Peace your way.

      Thanks, Elizabeth! I’m glad my offerings are resonating!
      It’s best to do Kriya on an empty stomach in the early morning, at noon, or at night at least two or three hours after eating. For me the most powerful time to meditate is at midnight before bed.

    When pulling the current up, what does the mind visualize? do you need to visualize each chakra (point) individually as the sensation rises up, or do you simply visualize the spine (channel) as a whole?

    I would be so great full if you can explain this. I never did Kriya pranayama before but I am now going to practice as you have mentioned in your detailed video.
    I sometimes say some good prophecy about someon's future and at that moment I can clearly and strongly feel a current of energy rising through my spinal cord all the way through to my head quickly. Once it reaches my head I feel it radiates out of my head like pins and needles ( that is the closest I can explain). I don't know how I am doing this. I also have goose bumps when it happens. Can you please explain what this is. I am feeling the urge to balance all my chakras but have not found a guru yet. Please kindly advise on this 🙏

    • @ZacharyAdama
      @ZacharyAdama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The spinal column is the central channel through which divine energy flows. The psychic and astral energy centers are located above the medulla toward the top of the back of the head. When you experience precognition the kundalini energy is traveling up the spinal column and energizing these energy centers.
      Kriya practice will help you gain more mastery over this gift. Some of us are born with one or more of these channels already opened. Which manifests as spiritual powers. This can be a blessing or curse, depending on how you use the power. Kriya will help you purify the subtle body of mental and emotional impressions so that your visions are less influenced by the personality, and can be used to serve others as intended.

    So when you breath in you move the breath from the bottom chakra to the 3 eye and when you breath out you move your breath down, is that correct.

    • @ZacharyAdama
      @ZacharyAdama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. Breathe in pulling the energy/breath from the base of the spine up to the third eye, then let it fall back down to the tailbone. Try to imagine the breath/energy running up through the central channel of the spine and back down the same way. A cool electric current going up, and a warm one going down. Over time the spinal column becomes more purified causing greater sensitivity to the subtle energy and increased volume of prana running through the subtle channels.

    • @ZacharyAdama
      @ZacharyAdama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is wonderful! Numbness at the heart is common when we begin practicing Kriya yoga. The diaphragm breathing paired with the "YUM" mantra will assist you with opening the heart. Beyond that, continue your Kriya pranayama and pay special attention to the point between the shoulder blades as you pull energy up through the heart charka to the throat and higher chakras. Over time the kriyas pranayama will purify the heart so that energy flows smoothly.
