We can use the Freedman-Diaconis rule to calculate the optimal bin width as, bin width = 2*IQR/cube_root(n). IQR is the interquartile range and n is the number of values.

Hello Sir For continuous numerical data we have two levels of scale ratio and interval based on presence of true zero or not However for discrete numerical data I am not finding any answer in books what levels of measurement to consider. Often we know what process generates the data, and that process tells us what distribution to use.
