Good stuff. I was looking at the Ford Ranger earlier this year, and the salesman said the Maverick also has more interior room than the Ranger. I passed on the Ranger since its interior is dated and the 2024's were still months away from being delivered. I ended up getting a 2023 GMC Canyon AT4, since GMC updated the model this year. Its been a great truck so far. Hope to run into you in Ocala one of these days!
Recently picked up a 2024 maverick lariat with the tremor package. Absolutely love it but was worried about the wear and tear in the interior. I don’t plan and doing anything work related with the truck so I guess it’s safe to say the truck should hold up very well once I get to the 100,000 mile mark. I average around 500-1000 easy miles a month and that includes commuting to work, running errands and just driving around town to go out on the weekend. So as far as engine wear goes I don’t expect much problems there either since I don’t race the engine or drive rough. Although I do expect the truck to perform its best during the heavy snowy days! lol
I’ve heard lots of debate about the strut tower brace and whether it makes a difference and whether it increases or decreases the lifespan of your shocks/struts…..your testimonial has swayed me yet again, towards thinking I might want to order one for my Mav.
Try 2028 dude. Im a huge toyota fan but dont kid yourself. Toyota hasnt even recognized the name stout. They only bought the trademark for the name. They never said thats what they are calling it.
I’ve been interested in the Maverick, seen it around, and the price of $22k is a breath of fresh air. but being a Ford makes me nervous. I need my vehicles to last relatively trouble free for 400-500,000 miles. I own a 2017 Tundra that I bought new and will be with me forever. I wish Ford the best we need competition
That’s awesome. I was going to buy a Maverick and end up buying a Bronco Sport Big Bend. I absolutely love it. We have an 2020 F150 so I decided to get the Bronco instead. Can’t we to run into you up in Ocala or Citrus.
I have a 23 hybrid with 17,000 miles. It has generally been alright but I finally got a check engine light and it looks like it's something with the heat exchange. I also have a beagle and my interior looks way more scratched than yours
Love your videos and appreciate you showing the capabilities. I have an 22 fx4 lariat and have noticed over time that I’m getting more creaking and popping in the back window area when not on level surfaces, even something as simple as backing out of the driveway. Is this something you have noticed? I’m at about 20,000 miles and am curious if I should have it looked at.
@@OverlandFlorida thanks for your reply! I had a Ridgeline prior to my mav that had some similar sounds so I may be a bit of an alarmist about it. I’ll probably have this looked into since it’s developed over time.
@@mikeb1744 ford didn’t say anything. It’s a known fact the early mavericks had a bad batch of cv axles. Some needed axles as soon as 3,000 miles. Mine seemed to go 40,000 before they started to shake from 30-50mph. They were leaking before the lift went on. Ford never questioned the lift and did the replacement free of charge.

I am baby boomer and opted for the Lariat. My brother has the XLT. There is no comparison, My Lariat has so many more upgrades it is unbelievable. It is almost like 2 different trucks. I say money is not worth anything so I spent the extra $5K and could not be happier.

We love our maverick hybrid. Area 51 with the xlt interior, its a very quirky color combo, but it works. Outstanding truck thus far.
The hybrid is definitely impressive. I’d love to have that fuel mileage.
I just got my 2024 maverick and I’m exited to start camping man love your videos 🔥
Congrats! I know you will love it.
Got a Nissan frontier ad while watching this and the fuy in the commercial said "NICE, RIGHT?" right before I could skip 😂
Haha, I get those adds too!
Glad it's working out well for you! Good to hear something positive about Ford in some hard times.
There’s a reason they don’t advertise the maverick. There’s still long waiting lists for them. So far it’s been a positive experience.
We have 33K miles on our 2022 Maverick. A few recalls but no other issues
It’s a good truck and there’s a reason they don’t advertise. They keep selling out when they open the order banks.

Yeah the bronco sports are nice. Basically the same platform. They are starting to come out with a lot of accessories for them.
Also getting a lot of rock chips on my fusion. I hope Ford would do a better job with paint
Or at lest lower the price of the vehicle to where it originally was. $19k for an entry level vehicle was fine.
Thanks for the great review! Any thoughts on catch cans? I just got my 2024 XL eco boost and have heard it's a good idea to install one.
I’ve heard mixed reviews. I opted to not worry about it.
No catch can needed with engines that have both port and direct injection systems.
